Itunes will not upgrade MSVCR80.dll is missing
I run itunes on Windows Vista PC. I tried to upgade to the latest version but the upgrade failed. When i tried to open itunes i got a message that MSVCR80.dll is missing. Having seen various advice I tried to uninstall itunes. i have removed all that is advised but Apple Mobile Device Support will not remove. It gets almost to the end of removal process but then reverts back. I have tried reinstalling itunes but that wont work either. I only have basic IT knowledge so be gentle with me.
Doublechecking. Have you also worked through the following user tip?

I was upgrading to the latest version of itunes, and my new ipad mini was connected to my computer at the same time, try to sync for the first time. The upgrade crashed part way through, and now itunes won't load and I get an error message saying MSVCR80.dll is missing. How do I do about reinstalling this file?
Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

Itunes update failed. MSVCR80.dll is missing
I just updated Itunes on my Windows 7 desktop and now it won't open at all. Error message says Program cannot start because MSVCR80.dll is missing from your computer. Reinstall the program. I don"t want to lose all of my music. What do I do? Will Apple let me know how to fix?? Very frustrating.
Yes, everything is saved. The order in which things are removed may make a slight difference. (It did for me with an error on reboot until I'd reinstalled.) Try the following proceedure:
Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (Later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or by right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.

ITunes will not open, CoreGraphics.dll not found, Error 7
For some reason iTunes will not open. I get a message that says "This application has failed to start because CoreGraphics.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem." Then another error message comes up that says "iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes. Error 7".
This just started happening for no reason. There have been no new installations on my computer. As far as I know, it was working one minute, then just not working the next minute.
I reinstalled iTunes at least 4 times, and still got the same messages. Then I uninstalled then reinstalled at least 4 times, and still nothing. Can someone please help? Thanks!I am getting the same error since I just installed the lastest version if itunes and mobile me. This error in my case is from mobile me and I would like to know how this is resolved.

The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.

ITunes will not open - coregraphics.dll error
I have a 32-bit Windows 7, and was using iTunes without problems for a bout a year before today.
Everytime I try to run iTunes, it gives me an error saying:
"C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support\Coregraphics.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program using the orginal installation media or contact your system administrator or software vendor for support" with an OK button.
After clicking ok i get another error saying "iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes. Error 7 (windows error 193)
I also downloaded the correct version for iTunes for windows from the Apple site twice, uninstalled & reinstalled atleast 4 times, and still face the same problem.
Please help someone"C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support\Coregraphics.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program using the orginal installation media or contact your system administrator or software vendor for support" with an OK button.
After clicking ok i get another error saying "iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes. Error 7 (windows error 193)
Those ones suggest you've got a damaged Apple Application Support program file. (Apple Application Support is where single copies of program files used by multiple different Apple programs are kept.)
Let's try something relatively simple first. Restart the PC. (Click through the iTuneshelper warning.) Then head into your Uninstall a program control panel. Select "Apple Application Support" and click "repair".
Does the repair install go through okay? If so, restart the PC again and try launching iTunes again. Do iTuneshelper and iTunes launch properly now? -

ITunes will not upgrade on Win 7 64 Bit
Hi,
I have Win 7 Home Premium 64-Bit.
I am trying to upgrade from iTunes 10.1.0.54 to the current version.
When I try to use Apple Software Update, it downloads but I get an install error and it tells me to try and download it separately.
When I downloaded iTunes from the Apple web site, the error I get was that the Windows Installer Service could not be accessed. I downloaded the 64-bit version of iTunes.
What can I do to fix this?
Thanks!but then I got a problem: the installation said I had a newer version of QuickTime then the one the iTunes.exe came with
It's okay ... we're still making progress. With these ones there's also (relatively) commonly additional trouble with the QuickTime.msi and associated installation configuration information that can produce that new error message. So there's a way forward, but there's a bit of awkwardness involved in getting the tools for the job.
Unfortunately, these sorts of msi-related troubles have gotten more complicated to deal with ever since Microsoft pulled the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from their Download Center on June 25. First we have to find a copy of the utility.
Let's try Googling. (Best not to use Bing, I think.) Look for a working download site for at least version 3.0 of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. After downloading the utility installer file (msicuu2.exe), scan the file for malware, just in case. (I use the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware to do single-file scans for that.)
If the file is clean, to install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you've downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any Quicktime entries and click "Remove".
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try reinstalling iTunes again. Does the install go through properly now?
(If you do find a clean download site for the correct version of CleanUp, please don't tell me where it is. Without wishing to sound paranoid (although I grant it does sound paranoid), there is a non-zero chance that posting links to download locations for the utility here at Discussions leads to that download location being shut down.)
