ITunes window centers itself when you click on anything in the left sidebar
Has anyone else noticed that if you click on anything in the left sidebar (i.e. "Music", "Movies", etc.) that the itunes window centers itself on your screen both vertically and horizontally? interesting feature. I just noticed it so I hope it doesn't become annoying. I don't want iTunes thinking it needs to be the center of attention. It's not that important.... oh wait....
Same thing going on here. Tremendously irritating.
I recently installed a companion piece of software called TuneUp. Only noticed that it started doing this after the latest update to TuneUp. Thought I'd mention it here in case anyone else has the same symptoms. Have not yet tried disabling anything as mentioned elsewhere in this thread. If I do that and it solves the problem, I'll follow up. (Right now iTunes is in the middle of syncing thousands of updated tracks to my iPod and I don't want to interrupt it.)

What does iTunes error code (-45054) mean? iTunes quits itself when you click on "OK"
iTunes error code (-45054) comes up when trying to download a M4b file to our computer to synch with an Ipad. We get this error code when we try to open this audiofile in iTunes and when we click on the OK button on the error code box, iTunes quits itself. Won't open without the error box showing: "An unknown error occurred (-45054)" and quits itself when you click on OK to close the error message box. Uninstall? How? Any ideas or suggestions?

Sometimes you will get a list of five or so matching playlists and a "MORE" option. When you clicked on this in the past it would show a list of other searched matches. But now it simply dumps you right back to the current page. Has this search capability been removed for some reason? It was working just a couple weeks ago and mysteriously stopped. I've tried on several different computers, in different locations.
Does this have something to do with the whole PING deal, they want us to share playlists with only people we follow or know?Refer to this artile:

Your first statement explains the second statement. To use the German iTunes Store, you need to prove that you're a resident of Germany (that is required by the content owners who will not allow cross-border sales) and the only way Apple can provide such a verification is by requiring that you enter in either a German credit card or a German-purchased iTunes prepaid card. Since I presume the former is not a possibility, you'll need to do the latter if you wish to purchase content from the iTunes Store. Again, this is not Apple's choice but is forced on them by the content owners as a requirement for Apple being allowed to sell the content. The EU is working on regulations that would force the content owners to allow access pan-EU, but that's still in the works.
You do not need an iTunes Store account to activate and run your iPad, though; at least, I didn't need one for either of my two iPads. If you only want to set up an account so you can get free iPad apps, take a look here:

Read the steps carefully as the order in which you follow them is apparently critical. This seems to come and go, or only apply to App Stores in specific countries, so you may not see the option for "None" when asked for a payment type.

When I click on anything in the F/fox newsletter that takes me to Google Play, it shows it in French. I have a French ISP but my registered preference is for English. What do I do to have Google Play material appear in English ?

If you are not logged in, Google settings/preferences usually are retained using a cookie. I can't tell which cookie is relevant.

Boot into the Recovery volume (boot with the Command + R keys held down), select Disk Utility and repair both the disk permissions and the disk. Reboot normally and check the performance. Any improvement?
Have you run any "cleaning" or "optimizing" apps on your Mac or install any antivirus software? Download and run Etrecheck. Copy and paste the results into your reply. Try resetting ...
Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home button down at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings.
You won't lose any data as a result of a reset. -
I search in Google for a term, then click on Shopping on the Google results page. For an instant, I see the results, then that page disappears and I get an empty page with (function(){})();
I don't get it with a Yahoo search or with shopping within a department store site.Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

When I sync my iPad my movies don't show up on my computer... This is stupid, I am not going to turn my computer on every time I want to download a movie for my kids and then move it to my iPad... If this is the case I will be better off buying a portable DVD player! I just want my movies to show up on my iPad so I can move them to the computer. We have a 64 gig one and this is really disappointing! If this can't be fixed I won't be spending any more money on apples digital products. My devices are being used by kids and I need a way to back up what they don't save in iCloud!

DW CS6 - Spry collapsible panels - How to have panel close when you click away from it?
I know typically onmouseout is used to close other items, but I could not figure it out with the spry collapsible panel. I have the panel opening onclick and closing onclick, but I would really like for it to close when you click anything else on the page outside of the panel.
Thank you!Sorry, I did not mean other collapsing panels close when you click away from it. I simply meant in general for the closing after clicking away function, you can use onmouseout. I was working on something with collapsing panels and I wanted it to show the information when you clicked on it, but when you click on another panel, they both remain open. I really want both to close. I believe accordion does this, but not quite what I am looking for either.
Here is a better example of what I would prefer: Houston Public Library
If you visit their page and click "Find it" a box pops down with information and then when you click anywhere else on the screen, it closes that box. When you click "Research," it closes the "Find It" box and opens the "Research" box. There is likely a much better way to do this, but I am pretty new to this.

In the navigation toolbar on the right side of the bookmark yellow star you find a small blue triangle. When you click it, some of the selected bookmarks show up and can be called up immediately.
I have deleted some without problem, but I could not add new ones. I would like to have there at least 10 items.

Accordion throwing an error when you click in it
Hi All,
I've got an Accordion (code at end of message) that (when you click in it) throws the following error:
TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference.
at mx.containers::Accordion/focusInHandler()[E:\dev\4.0.0\frameworks\projects\framework\src\ mx\containers\Accordion.as:1357]
I looked into it, and here's the code that's throwing the error:

The line that's bombing is "showFocusIndicator = focusManager.showFocusIndicator" -- the problem is that focusManager is null.

As I was thinking about it, I figured that must be the solution... but the problem is, I have no idea which container is the right one to use. I tried SkinnableComponent, but it wouldn't even compile, saying that I couldn't have TitleWindow as a child of SkinnableComponent since TitleWindow didn't implement mx.core.IUIComponent.
So, I tried SkinnableContainer, and now it seems to be working. I'm guessing that implements IFocusContainerManager in a satisfactory fashion for the Popup system, then, yes?

i am trying to download itunes 10.7. i have windows vista 32-bit. when i click on download. the pop up window comes up and ask to save or cancel, and then the webpage says thank you for downloading. it hasn't downloaded it. what can i do to fix this?
I'd first try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:

If you use Firefox instead of IE for the download (or vice versa), do you get a working installer? -
Running iTunes 11.0.3 64bit Windows 7. The "join Tracks" line has disappeared from the box that opens when you click "options" after inserting a CD. Only 2 lines show up: "Get track names" and "Submit CD Track names". Where did "Join Tracks" go?
