ITunes window keeps popping up...
hi
Whenever i have my itunes window open but minimised when i'm looking at MSN or internet or something, iTunes keeps randomly maximising, thus temporarily preventing me from using my other window. I think this has started happening since either 7.2 or the latest general apple software update.
Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a solution?
Thankyou

Running iTunes as another user - iTunes window keeps popping up
My missus and I have one iPod and want to just use one library on iTunes (hers). Therefore when I want to use iTunes, I run it under her user credentials ("Run as" option in Windows XP).
This loads her library & settings no problem, but the iTunes window pops to the front every 30 seconds, even when minimised to the system tray. Obviously this totally interrupts what I am doing on the PC.
I believe this has only started happening since iTunes was updated to 9.0.2.25. Note - this symptom doesn't happen if I run iTunes under my own credentials, or if the missus is logged on it doesn't happen to her. Both PC accounts are full administrators.
Any advice welcome. Thanks. If you're using Windows Live Messenger or have it running in the background - uncheck the option to show your current song as your personal message.

Itunes login window keeps popping up for no apparent reason
For about 2 weeks now the itunes login window asking for my itunes password keeps popping up for no apparent reason at annoyingly frequent intervals on my touch 3.1.2. This seems to occur regardless of what i am doing on the ipod or which app I am using at the time. If i enter my password and press ok the message still pops up again later. Anybody have a solution?
Hi,
Please go to Control Panel -> Programs and Features to repair the Installation of Office, check if the issue persists.
If the issue still exists, I suggest you perform a clean boot to determine whether background programs are interfering with Communicator:

ITunes window keeps coming forward
I've just installed 11.1.3.8 for Windows 7 and the iTunes window keeps coming forward, overriding any other windows present. It seems to be in 1-2 minute intervals. I can't even type this properly without iTunes popping up. Any help?

I know the title of the article isn't exactly what you're experiencing, but the troubleshooting steps within should still apply:

ITunes application keeps popping up for no reason.
For some reason my iTunes application keeps popping up to the front of the screen to be on top of all of my other windows. this is a problem because not only does it prevent me from doing anything on my computer like type or read things, but if I am typing or doing something and listening to music, it stop the music I am playing, or switching my play list or what have you. I have tried to repair and reinstall the program but it continue to do this. Can someone help me please?
I had the same problem and I finally figured out what was causing iTunes to pop up as the active window. I use FireFox and I have the add-on Foxy-Tunes, when I disabled that iTunes would work perfectly fine! I think the problem is that iTunes just updated to iTunes 10 and Foxy-Tunes hasn't gotten an update so it works with iTunes 10 yet.
I hope this helps! -
New message window keeps popping up
The new message window keeps popping up without prompting, usually twice in a row. I notice
this particularly when I first open the Mail program. The funny thing is that you can't actually type in any text in the new message window. Any ideas???It seemed to work itself out after several days.

Hi all.
I need some help. I have recently installed a new Hard Drive in my Macbook and have re-installed Snow Leopard. Since doing so there have been a few things that haven't been quite the same.
1) Certain buttons decided they didnt want to work anymore. These being the Space Bar, the Tab key, all four arrow keys, Caps lock, Volume up, Eject, and a few others.
After putting up with this for a couple of weeks and looking at numerous forums, they all of a sudden came back to life (Hence why I'm actually able to type this message) THEN, they packed up again. Then started again, then packed again, and so on. They seem to have a mind of their own.
Please... does anyone know whats going on? Is it a hardware prob? Is it something to do with the way Ive installed the Hard Drive? Have I forgotten to do something?
2) Ever since my buttons initially came back to life, the "Do you want to restart you computer?" window keeps popping up every couple of minutes.
It's the window that says "Restart, Sleep, Cancel, Shut Down"
It's driving me insane and I can't help but think that the two probs are related.
If anyone out there has any ideas at all, they would be most welcome.
Many thanks in advance
MadDogSnapsHave you tried reinstalling the original drive? Same symptoms with it?

My Itunes logon keeps popping up and won't respond to my password
My Itunes logon keeps popping up and won't respond to my password, everytime I try and log in or cancel
So you already wiped the old backup and started again??
If that is the case it did a fresh full backup ok?
How much free space is on the TC now?
Do you happen to have multiple network links? Meaning do you have TC bridged to the U-verse router.. with both ethernet and wireless working at the same time. I discovered this one all by my loansome.. having multiple paths does not seem to worry most things on the computer.. but it totally kills TM.
I had the same sort of thing happening in testing a TC I am fixing. So I have multiple ethernet and wireless. The incremental backups became extremely slow.. by turning off wireless and one ethernet so there is only one route to the TC.. it flys again. -
The "save as" window keeps popping up randomingly while browsing, WHY?
Literally every few minutes the pop-up asking to "save as" and it just keeps popping up to save the web page. There is nothing wrong with my ctrl and S button on my key board and I cannot figure out why the save as window keeps popping up. I've done a virus scan and there is no negative results. What's the next logic troubleshooting step?
Does it affect some sites more than others?
If you use the Foxit PDF viewer and have PDFs configured to save to disk, maybe it's related to this problem: [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/927458 Foxit Reader spews a lot "not a PDF" on some pages].
One standard diagnostic step is to try Firefox's Safe Mode to see whether the misbehavior is caused by a custom setting or add-on.
First, I recommend backing up your Firefox settings in case something goes wrong. See [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Backing+up+your+information Backing up your information]. (You can copy your entire Firefox profile folder somewhere outside of the Mozilla folder.)
Next, restart Firefox in [http://support.mozilla.org/kb/Safe+Mode Safe Mode] using
Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
In the Safe Mode dialog, do not check any boxes, just click "Continue in Safe Mode."
If the annoying messages go away, this points to an add-on or custom setting as the problem. Now the challenge is to track it down! -

Another window keeps popping, how to get rid of that
another window keeps popping in spontaneously. Have i got a virus/malware.
Mac cleaner keeps popping in.
How do I avoid that? There is no need to download anything to solve this problem. You may have installed a variant of the "VSearch" ad-injection malware.
Triple-click the line below on this page to select it, then copy the text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C:
/Library/LaunchDaemons
In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.
A folder named "LaunchDaemons" may open. Look inside it for a file with a name of the form
com.something.daemon.plist
Here something is a variable word, which can be different in each case. It could be "cloud," "dot," "highway," "submarine," "trusteddownloads," or pretty much anything else.
There may also be a file named
com.something.helper.plist
in the same folder.
Leave the LaunchDaemons folder open, and open the following folder in the same way:
/Library/LaunchAgents
In this folder, there may be a file named
com.something.agent.plist
where the word something is exactly the same as before.
If you feel confident that you've identified these three files, back up all data, then drag the three files you found to the Trash. You may be prompted for your administrator login password. Close the windows and restart the computer.
Don't delete the "LaunchAgents" or "LaunchDaemons" folder or anything else inside either one.
The malware is now permanently inactivated, as long as you never reinstall it. You can stop here if you like, or you can remove two remaining components for the sake of completeness.
Open this folder:
/Library/Application Support
If it has a subfolder named just
something
(where something is the same word as before), drag that subfolder to the Trash and close the window.
Don't delete the "Application Support" folder or anything else inside it.
Finally, in this folder:
/System/Library/Frameworks
there may an item named exactly
v.framework
It's actually another folder, though it has a different icon. Drag it to the Trash and close the window.
Don't delete the "Frameworks" folder or anything else inside it.
If you didn't find the files or you're not sure about the identification, post what you found.
If in doubt, or if you have no backups, change nothing at all.
The trouble may have started when you downloaded and ran an application called "MPlayerX." That's the name of a legitimate free movie player, but the name is also used fraudulently to distribute VSearch. If there is an item with that name in the Applications folder, delete it, and if you wish, replace it with the genuine article from mplayerx.org.
This trojan is often found on illegal websites that traffic in pirated content such as movies. If you, or anyone else who uses the computer, visit such sites and follow prompts to install software, you can expect more of the same, and worse, to follow. Never install any software that you downloaded from a bittorrent, or that was downloaded by someone else from an unknown source.
In the Security & Privacy pane of System Preferences, select the General tab. The radio button marked Anywhere should not be selected. If it is, click the lock icon to unlock the settings, then select one of the other buttons. After that, don't ignore a warning that you are about to run or install an application from an unknown developer.
Then, still in System Preferences, open the App Store or Software Update pane and check the box marked
Install system data files and security updates (OS X 10.10 or later)
or
Download updates automatically (OS X 10.9 or earlier)
if it's not already checked. -

Running OX 10.7.4 and can't open iPhoto 9.0 window keeps popping up saying to update software then when try to update it says software is up to date
What version of iPhoto do you have (9.0 is the original version from a couple of years ago - you should be way past that - at least 9.1 - probably 9.2 - maybe 9.3)
