ITunes window missing in one account

Good afternoon:
We have a shared iMac with three accounts. As of yesterday, one account has no iTunes window. The other two accounts work normally. In this third account, when you start iTunes either by attaching an iPod or by opening the application manually you see the iTunes menus across the top, the iPod syncs including the address book, etc, but there is no window. Clicking "show browser" makes no difference except that at that point the choice in the menu becomes "hide browser".
I can't find it minimized and there are no other open windows.
I fear this is, once again, something stupid, but I would appreciate it if any of you would let us knowhow to find the window again. Thank you

Thanks for such a complete and dramatically fast answer. As always, this place is full of the most helpful folk.

You can't do it yourself. If you've just redeemed it and not spent any of it then you could try contacting iTunes Support and see if they can move it the other account : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

  • How to manage multiple itunes gift cards on one account?

I am assuming our family is not the only one that had gift cards received as Christmas gifts--for multiple members of the family, who all use one iTunes account. I cannot figure out how Billy's $20 avoid being used by Sally, who has her own $20 gift card?
    How is this done?

There has got to be a better way!  If I set up new ids for each child, will they lose access to the content they have already purchased under my id?
No, but each device is limited to protected content from up to 5 different accounts. Updating iOS apps purchased over more than one account is non-trivial as you have to actively log in to each account in turn. I would suggest sticking to one account while everyone is living in the same household.

  • Can i move iTunes app purchases from one account to another?

My daughter has an itues account and she uses it for her purchases from the itunes store.  She purchased an iPod Touch for her son and used her account with the iPod to purchase apps for him.   She just purchased an iPad for him and obviously all the purchased apps he used on the iPod Touch cannot be downloaded to the new iPad without her having her account on the iPad.  If we create an iTunes account for him, is there any way to transfer the purchased games etc to his account.
If I understand correctly, there can be more than one account on the iPad but my daughter does now want him to have access to her account.  If this is not possible, can we set it up so he can only access his iTunes account and not hers?  In other words if we download all the games etc that were purchased for him, will they be available if she leaves her account on the iPad but changes the PW so he cannot access the account?   He would only have access to his iTunes account.

You can only use one account per iPad, and you can't transfer purchases to other accounts

  • How do I send my iTunes Library folder from one account to another?

I just bought a new Retina and I used migration assistant to bring my old account (A1) to my new computer. The thing is, I wanted a clean fresh hard drive, more so, a clean fresh account (A2) that doesn't have years of random downloads and applications on it. However, I cannot find a single way to bring my iTunes library over to this new fresh account, A1, that I set up. I still have the old computer. Is there a way to transfer my library from the computer to the new account, or transfer the library from A1 to A2?
    Thanks!

  • How do you change an iTunes gift card  from one account to another?

    I Want to know!

Click here and ask the iTunes Store staff to put the balance back onto the card; they'll only do this if none of it has been spent.
iTunes Store credit can't be spent on any sort of gift.

  • Is it possible to get my iTunes money out of one account and put it into another account?

So I bought a Macbook Pro recently and a lady, who was working at the Apple Store, was putting in a Back to School giftcard for $100 in my account but I forgot the answers to my security questions. Since the lady already have put that money in that account, I was wondering if I make a new account and take the money out of my old account and I can put it my new account. Will it be possible or not? Please answer my question

  • How do you sync songs from an ipod from one account to another acount?

I have one iPod but two accounts. Both have music. I can no longer access the account my iPod is registered to. How do I move the songs from the iPod to the other account.

Was the music purchased from the iTunes store and if so, does the music include DRM protection - not iTunes Plus songs?
If so, you can't transfer iTunes content purchased with one account to another account. DRM protected content is associated with the account the content was downloaded with and cannot be transferred to another account.

  • Sharing iTunes library on one windows computer with multiple accounts

Should be a simple process but from what I have gathered, based on the iTunes help page pertaining to this procedure, you copy the iTunes Media Folder to a shared location. I do not have a problem with that but it then states you must consolidate, which means it puts a copy of all your media from the iTunes Music Folder into the Media Folder. So basically I will have two copies of this taking up space on my computer.
Is there a better way to share the complete library between multiple users on one computer?

If you want a truly global accessible iTunes music folder to share on a Win 7 multi user account setup then I have found this to be the best way. You may find other methods online, including Apples own method of moving just the media folder but to me its not the best way. The way I configured mine allows all users to access the same iTunes library completely. No need for moving just part of the files, consolidating or duplicating files.
    1.Browser to C:/ users /your_username/
2.Right click on My Music folder and choose properties
3.Select the location tab and choose MOVE
4.Set the new location by browsing to C:/ users / public / public music
5.When asked if you would like to move files choose Yes
6.When asked if you would like to make this the default location choose Yes
    7. Log in to each user account and do the same thing as above
Now when you install or start iTunes on any of the accounts modified as above, iTunes will automatically use the Shared Folder for music, apps, etc.. No need to have duplicate files.

  • How do I merge my itunes folders from two user accounts on one computer?

I've made purchases from audible.com and on itunes from two different user accounts on my home computer.  When I try to sync my itouch with my library I am missing the purchases I made from the other user account.  How can I merge these together so i can have everything at once that I have purchased?

Copy or move the song files from one account to a shared location and then drag them into the open iTunes window when logged into the other account.

  • How do multiple family members use iTunes.? One account or multiple?

How do multiple family members use iTunes. One account right now but apps gets added to all devices and iTunes messages go to all devices.  Can multiple accounts be setup and still have ability to share purchased items?

    Hey Ajtt!
I have an article for you that can help inform you about using Apple IDs in a variety of ways:
Using your Apple ID for Apple services
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4895
Using one Apple ID for iCloud and a different Apple ID for Store Purchases
You can use different Apple IDs for iCloud and Store purchases and still get all of the benefits of iCloud. Just follow these steps:
    iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch:
When you first set up your device with iOS 5 or later, enter the Apple ID you want to use with iCloud. If you skipped the setup assistant, sign in to Settings > iCloud and enter the Apple ID you’d like to use with iCloud.
In Settings > iTunes and App Stores, sign in with the Apple ID you want to use for Store purchases (including iTunes in the Cloud and iTunes Match). You may need to sign out first to change the Apple ID.
    Mac:
Enter the Apple ID you want to use for iCloud in Apple () menu > System Preferences > iCloud.
Enter the Apple ID you want to use for Store purchases (including iTunes in the Cloud and iTunes Match) in Store > Sign In. In iTunes 11, you can also click iTunes Store > Quick Links: Account.
    PC (Windows 8):
Enter the Apple ID you want to use for iCloud in the Control Panel. To access the iCloud Control Panel, move the pointer to the upper-right corner of the screen to show the Charms bar, click the Search charm, and then click the iCloud Control Panel on the left.
Enter the Apple ID you want to use for Store purchases (including iTunes in the Cloud and iTunes Match) in iTunes. In iTunes 10, select Store > Sign In. In iTunes 11, click iTunes Store > Quick Links: Account.
    PC (Windows 7 and Vista):
Enter the Apple ID you want to use for iCloud in Control Panel > Network and Internet > iCloud.
Enter the Apple ID you want to use for Store purchases (including iTunes in the Cloud and iTunes Match) in iTunes 10 in Store > Sign In. In iTunes 11, click iTunes Store > Quick Links: Account.
Note: Once a device or computer is associated with your Apple ID for your iTunes Store account, you cannot associate that device or computer with another Apple ID for 90 days. Learn more about associating a device or computer to your Apple ID.
Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities!
    Cheers,
    Braden

  • I have two apple ids. How do I get all my itunes to one account?

I have two apple ID's. Most of my iTunes music was purchased using ID #1 and resides on my MAC. The MAC runs an OS so old that I cannot upgrade to the current version of iTunes. about 1/4 of my music was purchased using ID#2 (the current one) and resides on my windows based machine. Using the Home Sharing feature I can see all of my music on the Windows machine. However, upon upgrading to iPhone 6plus it seems that I only have music purchased via my phone (so about 1/4 of the 1/4 portion that is under ID#2). I have tried backing up to an external HardDrive, I have tried syncing using iTunes. I cannot seem to get all of my music on one account. Ideally, all of my music would be under ID#2, accessible by my MAC, my Windows based machine, and my iPhone 6plus....SOMEONE PLEASE HELP. I've read countless threads on the topic and nothing I try seems to work.

Sign out of the account you don't want and then Sign In with the account you want to use.
