ITunes, Windows & mp3 player

Hey All,
I received a iTunes gift card for Christmas which is great, but here's the problem. I have 'another' MP3 player (which is not an iPod.....Zen micro) & I went to purchase a song, but it would not transfer over to the MP3 player. Is that true? Will it not work on my Zen micro? If so, this gift was completely useless to me, right? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

That's right, the iTMS sells AAC songs, purchased songs have an m4p file extension.
Use up your gift card, then burn those songs to an audio CD. Re-rip them back into your PC as MP3 files.
That is the only way to get them on your Zen.

yes i am stupid. but i cannot download my itunes to my mp3 player. sansung.
or is it because itunes or only for ipods?

Only the iPod/iPhone range and the iTunes enabled phones from Motorola are compatible with iTunes for Windows and with the standard copy protected songs from the iTunes Music Store. If your MP3 player shows up in Windows Explorer and allows you to drag and drop music files then you should be able to add compatible files directly from your iTunes Music folder.

  • Itunes to MP3 player?

I purchased a song from Itunes and can't figure out how to sync it to my MP3 player. Can I transport the song to Windows Media Player so I could rip it into MP3? Please help!

Thanks, I was able to change the setting in Preferences but it said it does not apply to purchased itunes or something like that
iTunes Plus songs can be converted in iTunes.
When I rightclick the Itune, there was nothing that would prompt me to convert it to MP3.
If you see 'Create MP3 version', choose it.

  • Itunes & sony mp3 player

Hi to whomever can help me-
I just bought a mac, but I already had a Sony mp3 player which already has all my music on it. Is it possible to transfer music to it, or is itunes only compatible with ipods?
    thanks!
    Laura

Ya you should be able to use it with iTunes just fine. But not automatically like an iPod can.
One way is if the Sony shows up as a standard drive on the computer (it should right?) you can probably drag and drop tunes directly from the iTunes window onto the Sony. It should make a copy on the Sony. If not, then you can always do it outside of iTunes by simply going into the iTunes folder and drilling down to the songs or albums you want and manually dragging and dropping them into the Sony.
Just make sure you set up the iTunes preferences for importing to use MP3 files to keep your library compatible with the Sony. By default, after you install iTunes starts set up for importing as AAC files (MPEG4).

  • How do I import music from itunes, windows media player or my music onto a ipod?

I have just got Now 83 on cd and want to download it onto my iPod touch (4th gen ios 6.1), I have iTunes and have made a playlist with the songs on, I have ripped the files onto windows media player and  i've got the songs in my music folder. What do I do now? I've tried copying the playlist and file but it doesn't work so... (10 points if good answer)

So literally all I need to do is sync my current iTunes library on my iPod to the computer I'm using now as I have synced my other songs onto another computer?
If this is yes, you will get 10 points.
    Don't lie.
    No - exactly the opposite.
You cannot sync the music on the iPod, from the iPod to iTunes.
    You have a choice:
Follow lllaass's tip, mentioned in his post of 22:35 this evening. Not my preferred method, because I believe it becomes difficult to manage with a large complicated Library and an absolute nightmare if you ever need to Restore your iPod. Not to mention moving everything to a new iPod, eventually. But don't let me stop you.
Take my advice. Put all your music etc. into one Library, using an external drive to move songs from other computers to the one computer and iTunes Library you intend to use. That way, you have one Library to work with (which you should then regularly back up onto the external drive, so that if your computer's drive fails, you can restore your Library from the most recent back up). Play counts, Playlists etc. etc. are all there, in one place. Less likely to lose some content, compared to having stuff all over the place.
    Assume that I am lying...
    Huh? What's that all about? I'm trying to help you. I have quite a few points to my name, you can see for yourself. Those points are awarded by people who feel that I've helped them, I don't put them there. You will find that I can be very caustic in some of my posts, but that's with people who deliberately come here to cause trouble. Unfortunately, there are many of them. Their posts usually start with;
    I hate Apple
    I don't like iTunes
    I bought an iPod
they have a user name such as "Fred Linux 985"
    ...and they have no points
    (I have nothing against Linux).

  • Itunes & Windows Media Player

Does anyone know if I can play the music I have on my itunes in Windows Media Player? Or how to change the file format successfully so it will play in WMP. I've just bought a new phone & want to put some of my music onto my phone, but don't know how to.

    This microsoft link should help:

WMP does not convert audio files, though the Windows Media Encoder found here:
    http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/forpros/encoder/default.mspx
will work-at least with WAV files. Of course iTunes has been able to convert files to wav for quite awhile.
    From this document:
    https://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/forpros/codecs/comparison.aspx
you can see that Microsoft would prefer WMP users use WMA Pro as an alternative to AAC files.

  • Itunes + windows media player files...?

can anyone help me with a file ive been having problems with a file for windows media player, i want to move it to itunes, but ive tried so many ways, dragging, opening files, almost everything i know of. If someone could reply to this post or email me at [email protected] with the subject Ipod+Windows media player, thatd b great, thanks.

if it works in media player, it's probably the wrong format for iTunes (.avi won't work!). i dont know if they plan to fix this or not, but you can find software to covert the file types.

  • Sync itunes to mp3 player

Can I sync songs purchased from the itunes store to a Mp3 player? If so, how?

Not directly no. iTunes does not directly support other players. If the tracks you purchased are iTunes Plus (which has no copy protection), then if your player only supports MP3 (and not AAC, the native iTunes Store format) the tracks can be converted to MP3 which you could then sync to your player by whatever process it uses. Another option for synching might be iTunes Agent.

  • When is CreSUCKive going to make an iTunes compatible MP3 player?

They would probably inch their market share over 0% maybe?
Of course it will be a buggy piece of s**t, that a few crackers will rationalize buying while everyone else iPods it... ohh my flash player is purple and it costs more than the iPod but it has FM radio whaaa whaaa.
Don't get you panties in knot over this creSUCKi've buying little girls ,nobody cares.

are you some sort of a moron? If u dont like creative products return them and go get what u want. Dont go around insulting the product left right and center. If ur happy with an ipod fine, the use that. As for me. Apple and the whole MAC world can go down the drain. PC is the most simple way to go.
Oh and cresucki've, think about this if u can. Ipod comes from apple, ofcourse they will make it compatible to itunes. The creative products are meant to be used with PC and Windows Media Player. Learn this st and then post something, friggin idiot.

  • Itunes &windows media player compatability

I use WMP and used to burn cds. I then installed itunes and while I can still burn cds using the same "d" drive using itunes I can no longer get WMP to recognise that drive and cd burner. Is it possible that by installing itunes it has overridden the possibility that WMP can use the same drive to burn cds.
    Many thanks
    Brian

  • How can I separate my itunes music from my windows media player music?

I've tried changing the file location in preferences>advanced, but every time I open iTunes it doesn't find the library.

Changing the location of the iTunes Media folder tells iTunes where to put new media, not where to "find" the library.

  • Importing Windows Media Player playlist into itunes is possible?

    Please Help!
Is there any way to import a WMP(*.m3u, *.txt or whatever) playlist into iTunes?
I just want to know it is possible or not, because I am tired of making same playlists for WMP and iTunes everytime for several devices.

Yes, though as I recall iTunes wants absoulte file paths. You either need to edit the playlist before import or use a script I wrote called ImportM3U which, as a bonus, can convert any unprotected WMA files on the fly and add them to the playlist.
BTW, if you're going to try to get WMP & iTunes to share playlists you'd better disable any options for automatically organizing files. See Getting iTunes & Windows Media Player to play nicely for more info.
