ITunes Windows too small

Just a comment. This does not affect the operation of iTunes but I just wanted to point this out. Your panes such as the New Releases, Just For You, Exclusives and Staff Favorites are slightly too small. Since I can't adjust the font size, the names of the artists are always cut off on the bottom. Can you , in future revisions, make the panes adjustable or just make them bigger so the information is not cut off? Thanks, and if by chance there is something in my setup that is wrong please let me know?

Hi, Jeff,
Just FYI, the Discussions are pretty much just your fellow users. Apple employees rarely read these posts. If you want to make a suggestion to Apple about iTunes, the best way is through the iTunes feedback page

My iTunes window is too big for screen. I cannot access the shrink control on the lower fight corner of the screen.
Any other ways to shrink the screen to fit?

• Why are pop-up windows too small, text is being cut off. Problem is occurring with webkinz

When I go to webkinz, the pop-up windows are too small to display all the information in the box. Text is being cut off. It works fine with Explorer. This has not always been a problem-- but is giving problems in the lat month. It occurs when you sign in, not noticeable on opening home page.

Reset the page zoom on pages that cause problems: View > Zoom > Reset (Ctrl+0 (zero); Cmd+0 on Mac)

• Illustrator CS6 - opens in window too small

Anytime I double-click on an Illustrator file to open it, the Illustrator CS6 window opens up too small to view the file. It comes up with an error message that says "Can't open the illustration. There is not enough room for the window; increase document area and try again."
If I then click on the box to expand the Illustrator window to full-size, then I can open the file. It's just frustrating that everytime I try to open an AI file by double-clicking on it, I get this error message.

Like many I'm experiencing the same problem. 'Can't open the illustration. There is not enough room for the window; increase document area and try again.' Running Windows 7 - dual monitors although I don't believe that's the problem. Tried the suggestion in preferences uncheck 'open documents as tabs' didn't work. Tried Properties shortcut tab choose 'Maximized' didn't work. This is what I find, when I right click to open a PDF in Illustrator - I can open the first illustration (if it was closed using Exit), but I get this error on the second illustration I try to open in the same way. If I close an illustration using the X than when I try to open the illustration the next time I get the error message. If I chose Close or Ctrl W - the next time I open the application I get the error - HOWEVER, if I close the application by hitting Exit it will open properly the next time. Even if the first illustration opens properly I still have a problem with the second one. Can anyone help as this is a pain. Been using CS6 for sometime but this just started happening ~ 3 months ago so it didn't start with the upgrade.

• LoV - popup window too small

Hi all,
I'm using Oracle Forms Builder 10gR2. I have a LoV attached to a button but when the user open it - the popup window which appears is too small and customer has to enlarge it.
Any ideas how to set it larger? Maybe in property palette or other option i have to define?
Thanks in advance,
Bahchevanov.

You can set the width and the height of the LOV plus their x and y position in the property pallette at design time.
cheers

• Spotlight results window too small

When I do a Spotlight search and then click on "Show All", it opens a small Finder window. Too small to read full file names. If I click on the green plus button in the upper left, it makes it taller, but not wider. So I have to drag the lower right corner to widen it, and then re-size the columns so I can see full file names.
If I close the window, the next time I open a Spotlight search, it defaults to the same too-small size.
This happens every time.
Is there any way I can change this default and save the size and column spread I want?

I just created a new account and the result was the same: the "Show All" results window opens up very small and has to be manually re-sized.
Is there a system-wide preference file that can be changed for that, or am I stuck with it?

• Preview problems - window too small, etc

On Preview, I tinkered with the setting and now a new window opens in very small window and when I press zoom on a screenshot instead of the perfect resolution images like previously (65% zoom), it goes up to 75% and is blurry.
How can I fix this?

The text size is dependent on the text size set in IE7 when
you open HS.
If the preview text is too small, increase the text size in
IE under
VIEW-TEST SIZE.

• Add bookmark window too small

Does anyone find the window that opens when you add a bookmark WAY TOO SMALL. If you have more than 6 folders it creates scrolling through a tiny window to find a folder.

first of, and mostly, why isn't that box movable and re-sizable in the first place?
It's a window for god sack!!! Why do we have to stuck in the face with that "make believe box" ??

• Itunes window too large after upgrade!

After upgrading to itunes 8.2, the the itunes window opens so that the bottom of it is below the bottom of my display. I can't get to the "handle" on the bottom corner to make it smaller, and I can't get to any commands on the bottom of the screen (can't add playlists!!) Any suggestions?

Go to System Prefs and change your screen resolution. Resize the window, then change the resolution back.

• ITunes window too long. Cannot resize it.

My iTunes window is too long on my screen. I cannot reach the bottom to shorten it, as it extends below the window border even after raising the window to the top of the screen. How can I shorten the window from below?
Thank you.

Mountain Lion you can now resize windows from all 4 edges and all 4 corners.
Go to the top edge of the iTunes window till you see the down arrow then click drag the top edge of the iTunes window Dow.
Click in the title bar and drag the window up.
Repeat as necessary.
Or Option click the green button at top left of the iTunes window.

• Itunes screen too small

ok i just got a new ipod nano and i downloaded the new software. when i connect it and it shows up to say register your ipod its too small to see and i can't see it say register now just register later on the left side. what should i do?

Hello and Welcome to Apple Discussions.
Two options:
1. Increase your computer's display resolution above 1024x768 (XGA) or
2. Click the left hand pane scroll bar and drag to the left, shrinking it to the point where the Register button appears on the right.

• Command+F search window too small How to make Wider?

I always need to make the window wider when I do a search because the name is truncated and I need to move "kind" to see the entire name.
How may I make the window default to be 3 inches wider every time I do a search?

You're telling me that You can open the find window, stretch it all the way across your screen, widen or narrow your columns and those window modifications will remain for all subsequent times you do a command+F shortcut?
Yes, it does keep that pref even through several restarts. It may be because I'm running 10.6.4 and don't have a 10.5.x disk handy to test. I thought it was the same in 10.5 but perhaps not.
(Notice I have widened the column considerably and it sticks.
AFA "Last Opened", notice the drop down menu in the screenshot... is this the feature you're talking about. It looks like Apple may have listened to your input and addressed it in 10.6

• ITunes Window Apparently Too Small

I just received a 160 GB iPod classic as a gift and tried syncing it with my iTunes. It prompted me to download a more current version of iTunes so I downloaded iTunes 7.5. I cant do anything with my new iPod because I'm stuck at the software license agreement screen, I clicked on "I have read and agree to the Software License Agreement" but the only two options on-screen that I can see are to cancel and save, neither of which do anything. I've tried unsuccessfully to expand the iTunes screen and even uninstalled and re-installed iTunes. Nothing works. It seems like such a simple problem but it has been aggravating for the past few hours or so. Anyone have any solutions?

Going back to the suggestion by mmu1253397, what is your screen resolution? Your resolution may be too small (640x480 or 800x600 for instance). If you right click on your desktop, choose properties, then go to the settings tab, you can increase your screen resolution (drag the slider to the right). By doing so, you shrink the size of everything on your desktop, thereby allowing you to display more (including more of a maximized window). I'm running iTunes on three different PCs with resolutions of 1024x768 and 1600x1200 and have had no issues displaying the complete iTunes window.
