Itunes + Windows Vista 64bits = ERROR
Hi!
I'm having problems to intall the *64bits version* of itunes.
During installation, Windows shows an error of incompatibility. How can I resolve this?
I need it to sync my itouch 3g.

Doublechecking something. If you download the 64-bit installer from the following location, do you still get the error message?

I tried what the diagnostic told me to do, and repaired the installation. I was able to burn a CD in iTunes, but after I restarted, the drives have disappeared again! Here's the diagnostic info now:

Just updated to iTunes 10.7 on Windows Vista 64bit and now when I try to connect to the iTunes store and just get "Uknown error has occured-42408" Please help!!!!!!!

The only but is there are again some problems with upgrading from 10.6 to 10.7, but this is another story.

LV8.5.1 Labview memory is full error message Windows Vista 64bit
I have a small application where the top level vi will no longer load into either LV8.5.1 or LV8.6 (see attachment) when using the project exployer. Anyone else have this problem?

I downloaded latest update of iTunes (windows 7, 64bit) and have now the problem runtime error R6025 pure virtual function call (Microsoft Visual C runtime library) - Who would have a solution to that problem?

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it, which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

ICloud wont work on Windows Vista 64bit

Ive been using iCloud with my iPhone 4, iPad and my MacBook Pro since it came out and it all works perfect.
Now I wanted it to run on my Windows Vista 64bit Desktop PC, to sync with Safari, Outlook etc.
My problem is: Everytime I start iCloud and confirm my username and password, iCloud is just shutting down saying "iCloud is no longer working" (in German: iCloud funktioniert nicht mehr)
I reinstalled it severall times and its always the same error...MobileMe has the same error by the way...Ive searched so long on the web and in other forums but no one had a clue...Hopefully you can help me!

p0lyHmmm. No, not exactly, but close enough (for me). Sorrry, in my rush I klutz'd the response. First I had MicroSoft do a clean install of 64 bit Offfice on my 64 bit Vista, then I uninstalled MobileMe, and iCloud, then reinstalled iCloud in that order. Oh...and by the way ... this was on 2 of my Vista machines. My virgin Win 7 machine had no issues at all with 32 bit.
The salient point I (regretably) missed in my first reply was to clean up the all references to Outlook in the registry. The tech tought the problem was related to keys for a (long ago) trial version of Office; Tho that was speculation on his part.
One thing is clear: The Apple tech said MobileMe has been replaced by iCloud and to remove it!
In the process, I learned that each (4) MS tech's stated, "Outlook has no issues, the problem is with Apple." I had to force them to do a clean install ... after failing with 2 techs I took a harder stance - happy I did. One told me they are under pressure to keep their calls under 15 minutes. Uninstall/cleanup/reinstall took ~2 hours.

Windows Vista 64bit and Zen, Video Convertsion
We just updated out computer to one with Windows Vista 64bit.
Everything was fine until we tried to convert a .mov file to place it on the Zen. First it said we needed Quicktime ver 7 (which apparently the original video was created with). Tried to install that, to no avail. Turns out Quicktime 7 is not supported under Vista 64bit, according to Apple.
I then found on another message board of people having trouble running iTunes on Vista 64. Use the following link:
http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
You can then select the 64bit version of iTunes.
After the install the video conversion worked perfectly.
Hope this helps others.

Yes. Both the computer and OS X are fully 64-bit compliant.
You can install a second video card that does not work with OS X but does work with Windows. Third-party video cards do not work with OS X because they do not have the EFI boot ROM required by OS X. They will, however, work when you boot into Windows. You do not need to convert the Mac Pro to a Windows-only machine which would seem a waste of perfectly good hardware and software.
You can install any SATA hard drive in the Mac Pro. There is no limitation with regard to size. Cache, however, is a feature of the drive and not the computer. Apple does not "qualify" drives for use with the computer.

Can anyone tell me if PSE7 is compatable with Windows Vista 64bit? I'm trying to prevent my system from continually crashing.
This has been answered many times before, but my 2 cts for what it is worth...
I have a new PC with Vista Home Premium 64 bit, 6 GB memory, two disks, quad processor, MS Office Small Business, etc. I made a backup on my old machine to a USB disk of my 40 GB of pictures managed with PSE-7. I then installed PCE-7 on the new 64 bit machine and did a restore of the pictures. All worked first time without the slightest problem. I also installed much other software also without doing anything special concerning the 64 bits and without any problems.
Two other points possibly of interest:
- One can deal with iTunes loosing access to playlist items by exporting the playlists into an XML file and making a global edit of the file path names if the data strutcture on the new machine is different. One then imports the corrected XML.
- I bought a 2560*1600 30 inch NEC display and viewing good-quality digital pictues is amazing. The first time I have found an output device with resolution better than a tiny fraction of what is in the picture files. Colours are also excellent.

Palm Centro / Windows Vista 64bit
Has anyone figured out how to sync music to a Palm Centro using Windows Vista 64bit? My understanding is that there is not a USB driver for Vista 64. I can already HotSync my Centro using Bluetooth, that works (albeit slow) but can't sync music and as anyone with a Centro knows, removing the memory cards is inconvenient.

View Solution.Even if there was a way to sync music files to your Centro from a Vista desktop, music files tend to be large and take a long time to sync. The best way to put music files onto your card with any operating system is by dragging & dropping onto the /audio folder on your card with a card reader. Removal of the micro SD card from the Centro isn't all *that* inconvenient. Not like you need to do it very often.

Problems (bugs) with Project Explorer LV8.5.1 Windows Vista 64bit

I am using Windows Vista 64bit with all updates and service packs on an ASUS G1 dual core 4gig memory. After writing code for a while I find that I cannot execute my top level vi from the project explorer. I can run the vi from outside the project no problem. If I try to create a new project and load the vi into it the LV hangs and the windows task manager cannot kill either the vi or the new project explorer, I have to reboot the computer to recover. I have attached the vi.

Help with Drivers for HP dv8315nr for Windows Vista 64bit
Hi everyone! In 2007 i bought a laptop a HP Pavilion dv8315nr with the hope that the stickers in his keyboard saying "Vista Compatible" was true and the promise of that the AMD Turion processor can handle a 64bit OS. Today i realize that was not entirely true, because i got the Windows Vista ultimate for 64bits and the processor can handle this OS but i see that in the HP site don't provide any support for the drivers, so i get the problem that i don't have audio in my laptop and the modem adapter doesn't work either.
My question is can anybody help me with the audio driver for the HPdv8315nr for windows vista 64bit, that's my priority.

JorgeI have the same problem with my Photosmart 7350's--I have two. I cannot get either to work with the New Mac Pro driver--Gutenprint .... I got the new drivers from Apple for HP but they fixed nothing. I even downloaded the newer drivers from HP, but their Printer Assistant does not seem to be working. I downloaded it twice. I can get a test page to print a few lines but the rest of the page is blank. When I try to print with either Pages or Word I get either nothing or trash.
My computer is the New Mac Pro 2.8 8-core with OS X 10.5.4.
These printers work with my Windows machine and I have read where they work with the Mac OS X. Can someone help. The link for printing trouble shooting did not help. My guess is the driver but I cannot get one do show up even after the HP download.
