ITunes wishes to update deleted apps.

iTunes wishes to update deleted apps, they are no where to be found on my iPhone and seem invisible on iTunes, when I 'check for available downloads' they will ALWAYS appear and try to download, I pause them then delete them but they always come back, without fail.
Does anyone have any ideas? Before i say goodbye to crapple and go to android.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
This works for some users. Not sure why.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year. Then see if you can connect to the store.

  • Itune's I updated my app's

on Itune's I updated my app's but now thay require a higher iOS and my Ipod can not update becuse it is a 2Gen. is there any way to down grade the apps?

-No. If yo have the version on your iPod you can delete the updated app from iTunes and then transfer it back to the computer:
iTunes Store: Transferring p urchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer
    - If you have a computer backup that has the earlier version you can restore that to your iTunes library.

  • Itunes crash during update all apps or even a few apps at a time in windows

My itunes crashes when I click "update all apps" or even when I just update manually a few apps at a time.  Its not related to the version of itunes it seems the issue has occured during the passed few versions.  I've tried logging off the store account and relogging in.  I've reinstalled itunes.  I've uninstalled all apple programs from the pc and itunes and reinstalled everything fresh. I've deleted the library files and let itunes create new ones and the issue still persists. Any ideas?
    Thanks

  • HT4972 Update deleted apps

It would be nice if Apple included a ' Warning! Back up your phone before update or all apps will be deleted.' Some of us are not remotely tech savvy & think an Apple pop-up that says 'ready to update iphone with new software?' means all is well  to proceed.  It wasn't until I panicked after discovering the update deleted all my apps that I researched & found the note on website to erase & backup phone before running latest IOS update. Does anyone know how I can get them back? I understand some people lost all their photos too. I don't use ICloud....just basic iPhone functions.

Apps do not get deleted when updating the device, where did you come up with that misconception?
    Update Process:
Device is backed up to iTunes
Device is updated and put into a "like new" state
Device is restored from previously created backup putting everything back exactly as it was prior to the update.
The process is slightly different if running iOS5 and updating directly on the device.

  • ITunes Update Deleted Apps and won't back Apps up

I was helping a friend who uses Windows. He upgraded his iPod touch last night and when he did it deleted half of the apps that he had on the device. The apps that are on the iPod touch aren't getting backed up to iTunes either.
I am a Mac user and haven't seen anything like this so I was not able to help him.
    Any ideas?

I found the solution on this site, and it worked for me:
    http://www.technipages.com/itunes-app-screen-and-options-to-sync-apps-are-grayed -out
This problem is usually caused by a restriction setting on the device you are syncing with. You may have enabled this setting to prevent your kids from making purchases while you weren’t looking.
To fix this problem, disable the restriction with these steps.
From the iPhone, iPod or iPad, select “Settings“.
    Select “General“.
    Tap “Restrictions“.
Enter the password that was set on the device. If you don’t know it, ask anybody who has handled the device to see if they set a password.
Slide the “Installing Apps” setting to “On“.

  • 2.0.1 Update Deleted App Recognition

After spending 6 hours updating my original iPhone to system 2.0.1 and restoring multiple times today, all of my purchased apps are no longer recognized as installed by the App Store. When I open the description for Day Bank, for example, it lists the price rather than saying "Installed" as it did before the update. When I try to download again, the App Store tells me that it is already installed.
Will I be able to update through the iPhone, rather than the desktop iTunes, under this new configuration? Will I be notified of app updates on the iPhone given that my purchased apps are not listed as "installed"? I prefer to update apps from iPhone so that my expenses and to do lists are not deleted on each update, as some have reported happening when updating from iTunes.
As a side note, this is the last time I will update my iPhone operating system because the hassle is not worth it.

I solved the problem by myself and wanted to share the method with everyone:
I suspected that there was some corrupt data on my device and thought the most likely candidates were either the saved photos or some of the applications that saved data on the iPod (e.g., the news apps or the ToDo App). I started off by deleting the photos, rebooting and backing up. This didn't work.
Then I went ahead and deleted the applications I described above. I found that deleting all the applications at once didn't work. I had to delete them one at a time and rebooting after each delete (uninstall). I tried backing up after this step and things worked out well. Hence, I was able to update my device to 2.0.1.

  • Does ota update delete apps? Do i have to install all apps again?

I Want to update to ios 8 but i don't want to delete my apps and all data.

A successful OTA update does not delete anything. However, occasionally a glitch occurs and you have to connect to iTunes and restore your iPod. Thus, make sure you backup before each iOS update.

  • ITunes is downloading updates for apps I dont have

I used to own an app but deleted and itunes keeps trying to download the update for it but I dont own it ! its angering me! someone tell me what might be wrong

How do I cleaer this show they will stop showing up?
Contact itunes support and ask them to clear your download queue, they are the only ones able to do so. you can't yourself clear this queue.

  • After backing up on iTunes, the new update deleted everything!!

    Hi!
I have an iPod 4g.  I backed up my information on the iTunes, then followed the steps to download the new update.  After all is said and done, which took about 20 minutes, everything is gone.  The music is what gets me hot since I do not have the cds anymore to upload from.  Any suggestions?
    Thank you!!!

The backup that iTunes makes does not include music or the apps themselves (it does include app data) and some other things.  If those items are not in the iTunes library of the computer on which you did the update they are gone from the iPod and can't be synced back to the iPod at the end of the update.

  • ITunes won't update from App Store

Unable to update apps on my iphone without agreeing to the new Itunes terms: 75 iphone pages!!

  • IOS update deleted apps

Today I updated my Ipod touch 3rd generation 8GB. Recently I had bought a few apps including Angry Birds and Cat Physics (both great games!) After syncing my ipod, backing it up twice and installing the update I put all of my apps and songs back on it. I then went to play those games and they were no longer on my ipod or macbook i decided to look for the receipt for these it is was in my inbox, so i do have proof of buying these apps. I don't know how to get these back without buying them again!
    please help!
P.S. i also noticed that my notes weren't saved and my progress in other games were not saved! HELP!
    Thanks<3

You can simply download them again using the same iTunes Store account that you used to get them the first time. There will not be a charge for downloading an app that you already paid for before. The key here is using the same account in iTunes Store.
More than likely your notes and previous data on games is probably lost for good. I have seen several posts on this subject since the iOS 4 update and have yet to see a satisfactory method of recovering this data after the update.

  • ITunes 12.1 update in App store continues to ask me for an upgrade, but it´s already installed

    Hi
I have a macbook pro late 2013, I updated to Yosemite recently. App Store asked me for an iTunes update to iTunes 12.1, I did it as usual, waiting everything its ok, but after upgrade app store stills asking for the update, I can´t find another similar issue on forums, so I decided post my question in here with the hope that somebody have the same issue and of course to know a solution. I apologize for my bad english. Thank you.

    Hello bananasareyellow,
Please try remove the old Azure SDK from control panel and reinstall with the new package:
    http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=518001&clcid=0x409
I saw a related thread from here:
    http://stackoverflow.com/questions/29281710/azure-sdk-2-5-1-fails-to-publish-cloudservice
If the problem cannot be resolved, please reopen a new case on Azure related forum. The azure sdk is not installed within Visual Studio Setup. It is standalone so you need to post on specific forum for help.
    Best regards,

  • Why don't iTunes 11 get update of apps by syncing the already updated apps on iPad or iPhone?

    Please help!!!
So annoying...coz it is too much waste the time waiting for every devices apps updated.

    Hello Stickerless!
Be sure to check if the notifications are enabled in Settings > Notifications and check what does appears in the notification center.
If it's everything configured and it doesn't work as it should this issue may be resolved by resetting all settings in Settings > General > Reset.
If that doesn't work, create a backup of all your content and restore the device.
