Itunes wishlist wont delete songs!

Updated to the latest version of itunes yesterday and since then the order of my wishlist has changed with the buy now button disseapearing. Unable to delete any song in the list just reappears 2 seconds later. Anyone else having the same problem?

I wrote a user tip on this just yesterday.  It should solve your issue.
iTunes has an issue deleting individual songs from the wish list.  Albums can be deleted just fine.  My tip explains how to delete the songs.

  • My iTunes keeps randomly deleting songs.

I know it isn't because it's full, I don't have enough for that to be the problem, but over time I go to look for a song I know I purchased and it's missing from my library. When I go to the store to find the song or album, it asks me to buy it again as if i never had. It's driving me crazy and I don't want to keep paying for music twice. Help!

I estimate iTunes really randomly deleting files and the iTunes Store really completely forgetting you ever purchased an item at about my chances as winning the lottery (for which I never buy tickets).
Do you have more than one AppleID?  You cannot merge AppleIDs and items purchased with one will remain permanently associated with that ID, thereby not appearing in the Store as purchased if you log on with a different ID.

  • HT1933 When I updated my Iphone 4 with itunes. It deleted songs and changed my ringtones. How do I replace my lost songs and stop this from happening again. Thanks :)

When I updated my iphone 4 with itunes. it deleted songs and changed my ringtones. How do I stop this from happening in the future and get my songs replaced?

You have POP mail account.   That's how those types of email accounts work.
You want an IMAP type of account, where if you delete on phone, it will also delete on server.   Should you ever restore your device again it will only update the mail that hasn't been deleted.
You didn't say which email service you use, but try contacting them to see if they offer IMAP.  Or you can switch.

  • ITunes 7.01 Deleting Songs

After upgrading from iTunes 6 to 7, I have found that it has randomly deleted songs from my library. Even after reinstalling Tiger and importing all my songs again, it did the same thing. Has anyone else had this problem and is there any solution?

I've decided to set up a webpage highlighting all the problems that people are having with it. It can be found at http://www.jazz-maverick.co.uk/itunes7/itunes7.htm, would it be ok if i posted your comments there?

  • Itunes Match Makes Deleting Songs from iPhone impossible

I'm so frustrated by iTunes Match, and would love to know if anyone can tell me if I'm doing something wrong.
The issue I'm having is that I can't delete songs which have been downloaded onto my phone from my phone with my phone.  Whether the itunes Match service is disabled, or enabled and the "show all music" option is disabled, the music app does not respond to swiping to delete albums, artists or songs.  I've tried every configuration of settings I can think of.
Does anyone have a way to fix this?  I've done many hard reboots and come up with nothing.  I can of course delete by using my home computer, but I'm paying for a service that should allow me to download from the cloud and delete what I've downloaded while away from my desktop.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
    thanks

    Hi Kevinpnb,
    Welcome to the Support Communities!
Sorry to hear of your frustration with Music Match on your iPhone.  You should be able to delete the music from your iPhone by following the steps in this article:
iTunes Match on iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5637
Deleting songs downloaded to your device
You can delete a song or album from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch at any time. Don't worry; it'll still be in the cloud.
    Tap the Music app.
Tap More > Songs at the bottom.
Scroll or search for the song you would like to delete from your device.
Swipe right to left on the song, and then tap Delete.
Note: You must be in Artists, Songs, or Albums view to delete songs from your device. Deleting from a playlist won't remove a song from your iOS device.
Also, this information can be found on page 64 of the iPhone User Guide for iOS 7
    http://manuals.info.apple.com/MANUALS/1000/MA1565/en_US/iphone_user_guide.pdf
Remove a song from iPhone. Tap Songs, swipe the song, then tap Delete. The song is deleted from iPhone, but not from your iTunes library on your Mac or PC, or from iCloud.
If you have iOS 7, this will delete the song from local storage, but the song will still appear with a cloud symbol in the Music app, as you've noticed. To hide the iTunes in the Cloud purchases, navigate to Settings > iTunes & App Store, and disable "Show All: Music”
There may be a few orphaned songs on your iPhone that were partially downloaded or corrupted in some way. If that is the case, you can erase all of the music from your phone.  Follow the instructions below and select the Music app under Usage:
iPhone, iPad, and iPod: Understanding capacity
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1867
If the issue still persists, try backing up your iPhone to iCloud, and then restore it:
iCloud: Restore your iOS device from iCloud
    https://support.apple.com/kb/ph12521
I hope this information helps ....

  • ITunes does not delete songs  -- Send song files to the Trash for deletion

    27May2012
    Apple Support:
I have Itunes on an external drive.  I put the (song) files on another external drive for storage becasue the itunes drive is full.
After copying the files, I tried to delete the songs.  I had the option to keep the files or send them to the trash.
I selected the send to trash option, then went to the Finder to empty the trash.
The files were taken off the library, but the files were not deleted.  My hard drive is still very full.
How do I delete the files  -- remove them from my hard drive.
    Anohter issue:
I tried the same thing earlier this morning.  I may need to reinstall the songs on Itunes (once I get itunes to delete the files from the hard drive).
I appreciate any help you can give me.

It's definitely intel, why wouldn't it be?
    I don't know.
    You list a G5.
A G5 is a PowerPC chip made by Motorola, not Intel.
And G5 Macs/iMacs have not been made for +4 years.

  • ITunes keeps restoring deleted songs/won't delete songs

I just realized that I posted this question accidentally in the iTunes for Mac forum so I figured I'd ask here since I'm actually a PC user.
I tried absolutely every suggestion in this thread (https://discussions.apple.com/message/17046601#17046601) and nothing is working for me.
I'm in the main music library, not a playlist.  The files are not read-only.
I've tried deleting the files every which way I can think of.  I've tried deleting them in both iTunes and Windows explorer.  Every time I do, they always temporarily show up as being deleted from iTunes but then they just magically come right back the next time I restart iTunes or sync my iPhone.
I can delete all of my songs except for these five (which I legitimately purchased from the iTunes store).
I think it's a problem with permissions.  I'm the administrator and yet I've tried editing the permission on the files. When I do, it shows that I have indeed edited the permission on the files giving all users (including myself) the right to delete these five annoying files that won't delete.  But then as soon as I do that and then try deleting them in iTunes or via windows explorer (even if I empty the recycle bin, it doesn't matter) the files just pop right back up in iTunes and Windows Explorer and revert back to their original permission state.
I've even tried renaming the files and then deleting them and then emptying my recycle bin and then closing down iTunes and then restarting iTunes and it still restores these five songs (even though the other 10 or so songs I deleted at the same time deleted just fine and haven't come back).
Does anybody have any ideas on how I can delete these songs?  They're not corrupted so far as I can tell, they play fine.  I just really hate them.  They're like the bloody zombies, everytime you think you've finally found a way to kill them, they keep coming back to life.

Sorted- no idea how but it was one combination of switching icloud downloads off, on, syncing 0 then all music, ejecting, reconnecting, and turning itunes and ipod off and on did the trick!

  • Same Ipod recognized twice by iTunes, crashes when deleting songs off iPod.

I know that others have had this issue but there was never an answer and it was awhile back so I figured I'd post a new message. Everytime I sync my iPod it is recognized twice by iTunes. What I mean by this is that it looks as if I am syncing two iPods with the same name at the same time, although upon examination there contents appear different (when looking at the color bar that shows how much of the iPod is video, music, other, etc...) In addition, if I attempt to delete a song or songs off of the iPod, Itunes crashes but with no error message, just straight to the desktop, no questions asked. I know this is not a problem with drive letters as I have already checked that out and Windows is only recognizing the iPod once as the Q drive and no other drive shares that letter. Can someone please help? (or will my question end up in the iTunes message board graveyard of unanswered problems like so many others?)

so yeah i just tried that... didnt work. I changed the drive letter from G: to I: and no dice. This is all after i used msconfig to disable all third party services that automatically load at windows start up. Yet once again, those weren't the problem. So i completely uninstalled itunes, redownloaded, and then reinstalled the newest version with the third party services still disabled. Once again, itunes crashes : /
my friend is coming over in a bit and im going to see if i can successfully connect to her itunes. Only other options right now i feel i have is to pay apples sorry *** $30 to help me solve this over the phone.. or i can restore my ipod, then try again : ( any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated : )

  • Itunes playlist is deleting songs, I want to keep!

When I try to create a new playlist, if any songs in the playlist are in any previous playlists, it deletes any duplicate songs from all previous playlists. How do I keep all my previous playlists the same if I want one song in multiple playlists?

See Why did iTunes 11.1 (126) delete all (SEVERAL HUNDRED) Podcasts.
More recently a new option has been added that automatically deletes podcasts when they have been played. it is turned on by default so you may need to revisit your settings. I'm on an iPad just now so I can't check the details.

  • ITunes: How to delete song duplicates

I currently have 6200 songs on my ipod touch and around 1100 are all duplicates. I know how to use the display the option on itunes, to display all duplicates, but I just want to see the ones I have to delete, not the whole list. If that is the case, I would have delete each duplicate one by one. Basically what I am saying is that I just want to select all the duplicates I need to delete and delete them, lol.

This forum is for questions from those managing sites on iTunes U, Apple's service for colleges and universities to post educational material in the iTunes Store. You'll be most likely to get help with this issue if you ask in the general iTunes for Windows forums.
    Regards.

  • ITunes has mysteriously deleted songs and entire albums from my Library...

  • Itunes match wont upload songs that are 64 kbps and lower

so i have about 7 songs that are 64 kbps or lower and it says they are ineligable to upload HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You could select the songs and re-encode them into 128 kbps AAC.  The quality will be pretty much the same albeit a twice as large file, but you'll be able to upload those files and access them.
If you have the original CDs, re-rip them at 128 Kbps or higher.  THAT would be the best quality solution as suggested by Sparta! above.

    Hey renie1515,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
When you download past purchases on an iOS device or computer, that device or computer becomes associated with your Apple ID. This article describes how to manage these associations.
iTunes Store: Associating a device or computer to your Apple ID
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4627
Once a device or computer is associated with your Apple ID, you cannot associate that device or computer with another Apple ID for 90 days.
Note: Removing a device from your Apple ID does not override the 90-day timer. You must wait 90 days from the day the device was first associated with your Apple ID before it can be associated with another Apple ID.
    Have a nice day,
    Mario
