ITunes won't accept my credit card

I'm deployed to Afghanistan. My credit card works here. iTunes told me I need to verify my credit card info because my old one expired. I've tried three different cards. I also tried to just save with "no card" to delete the existing card. I keep getting the error message "visit apple support apple.com/support/itunes/ww/." I went there and can't find this exact problem from anyone. I went to apple.com and updated my card there but it's still asking me to verify when I try to download even a free app. Being deployed and wanting to get an app to contact my fiancé, I'd really appreciate the help if someone could help me figure this out. Thanks.

I had my card on Itunes, used it several times and then my son went over his limit a couple of times, so I took my card off.  When my son wanted something, went in to put some money on the account, it would not accept the same card!
We went and bought a gift card.
Tried again today because I want to download a movie and guess what, first off I cannot remember my security questions, cannot find a way to get those reset.  Ok, I'll just buy on Itunes, it still won't accept my credit card.  And I hate, hate their customer service.
I am having the same issues with my son's gaming account.  I don't know what's going on.  At least with the gaming site I could talk to a real person, however, what he said did not help.

  • Itunes won't accept my credit card security code

Itunes repeatedly asks for my credit card security code. I know the code that I am entering is correct - as is my billing address. This has been happening since I had to update my card info as my old card had expired.
Each new device (and I have MANY Apple Devices)  - iPads, iPods, iPhone, Macbook, when purchasing an app, etc. triggers a new request for verifying billing info. At this point, even though I am entering the same, accurate information. I am getting locked out from new purchases and I am in an endless loop of requests for my security code. Should I request that my profile is reset?  Thanks in advance for any advice.

  • Won't accept my credit card for payment. I have not created an account yet.

I am trying to purchase an app. Won't take my credit card. No more try's. can you reset?

Are you using a debit card or credit card? Debit cards don't work anymore for most people.

  • ITunes will not accept my credit card anymore

    Hello people,
After using my credit card (which is in fact a debit card) for 2 months now, and buying plenty of applications for the iPhone 3g from the Romanian store....all of a sudden iTunes stopped accepting my credit card and i don't know why. I still have plenty of money on it but it seems it doesn't matter.
What can i do? It has something to do with the billing information ?
    All the best,
    Andrei D

To be honest with you I don't have an iTunes account so I don't know the details of how it works. Are you trying to do these purchases from your old computer or your new one? iTunes has a one-click procedure and if the itunes account information/authorization is stored on your old computer it probably did not get carried over to your new computer just by moving the library. You might have to reauthorize your account the way you have to authorize your computer for playing music. Again, I'd contact your local iTunes service about this issue since it really sounds like it is dealing with billing.

  • My apple account won't  accept my credit card on the ipod but it will on the computer , PLEASE help!!!

please help my ipod will accept the credit card on the computer but not on the ipod touch now i cant download apps or anything please help, thanks!

Make sure that the account that you are using on the iPod Touch is indeed the same as on your computer. Check Settings > Store and see that the Apple IDs are the same. If you are using different accounts you may have different credit card information on the two accounts.
If you can't figure this out contact the Apple Store. See Apple Store Customer Service on this web page: http://www.apple.com/contact/

  • On my iPhone, the app store won't accept my credit card code. The thing is that it worked before and now it doesn't work. Now I can't download or update apps. Does anyone know what to do?

I have a visa card and i used it on my apple ID and now the AppStore won't accept my code so now I can't update or download apps. Please help!!!! :(

This has happened to me in the past a couple of times.  I can't say i have a definitive answer for you, but i believe it is a problem with the iTunes servers.  I would recommend shutting off all devices connected to the account to be sure you are completely disconnected, then turn one on, connect, and try again.  That worked for me last time i had the problem.  The first time i just gave it a day and it was taken care of.
    Good luck.

  • HT3702 iTunes doesn't accept my credit card

iTunes doesn't accept my MC credit card from Puerto Rico, because the credit card number entered is not a valid number for this card.  But it is!  And the other excused is that the address doesn't match the bank one.  What can I do?

The above reply is ridiculous. I have the same problem, and I see authorization after authorization from the iTunes store on my card. Yet, it refuses to update my card info saying that it is not a valid card for Japan. Seems similar to this issue: https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=2&ved=0CD0QFjAB&ur l=https%3A%2F%2Fdiscussions.apple.com%2Fthread%2F3783135%3Fstart%3D0%26tstart%3D 0&ei=oI3zT7X3HcTmmAWD8LGFBQ&usg=AFQjCNEINTpL-XhyCasZgT0ufSIGe8dBvA&sig2=T9DSGCng ZV_EPcGdyHZfwA

  • ITunes will not accept my credit card info

I had my information stored so that when I wanted to purchase music, I had only to indicate what I wanted to buy and it would present me with a sign in scree, where I could put in my password, and then the account information screen to add my security code from the credit card, and the music should be mine. However, it would not accept the security code, and tells me that there are unacceptable characters in with my credit card information. I blanked everything out and started from scratch, and its not taking it. Whats up with that? Brenda

Usually it's not a problem with the credit card numbers, it's something wrong with your address.

  • ITunes will not accept my credit card security code

I've tried re-entering my info and have fOllowed apples own resolution
Which by the way does not work

Is it a prepaid credit card?  This error occurs due to a discrepancy between what the credit card company has on file and with what you put for your address in iTunes.  Prepaid cards are generally not accepted in the iTunes store because there is no billing address to cross-referance. Even something as small as a period in the wrong place can cause this error, for example, the credit card company has your address as "123 St." but you enter "123 St" then you could get the error.

  • ITunes will not accept my Credit Card Billing address

I tried to update my credit card in iTunes, and each time, it tells me "Your credit card information does not match your bank's records. Please enter a U.S. credit card and matching billing address. Which I've done repeatedly. Apple keeps pre-authorizing an outstanding iTunes bill on my card, 11 times now! and the funds are blocked on my card, - close to $100.00 dollars. I've talked to iTunes CS for at least 2 hours, they keep telling me it's my bank. I spoke to my bank and they say that my card is fine. I charged something on Amazon, it went through fine. Charged something on Netflix, went through fine. B&H Photo, again fine.
I realized that iTunes adds the 4 digit extended Zip Code, which my bank does not use, so I logged in appleid.apple.com and took out the extended 4 digits there, logged back into iTunes, and updated it, so it didn't have the extended 4. Then hit Done. - It came back with the same "does not match" error message, and it ADDED the +4 code again! - Of course it won't match if you keep adding things that aren't there!
Has anyone else been able to resolve this matter? iTunes C.S. won't take responsibility and keeps putting the fault on me or my bank.

  • ITunes won't recognize valid credit card in PayPal

When I try to add PayPal as my method of payment in iTunes, the PayPal Authentication page says, "Error Detected: This recipient requires that you have a valid funding source from United States in order to complete this transaction." I do have a valid credit card in PayPal. I've e-mailed both PayPal and iTunes several times and have received no helpful answers (canned responses only). Has anyone else had this problem?

I have e-mailed iTunes support more than 15 times in the last 2 months and they have not investigated this problem. Two of their responses asked me to reply with a phone number and time I can be reached, and I heard nothing by phone or e-mail after responding with that info.
My credit card in PayPal has a United States bank address and PayPal verified that it is valid.
I haven't found any workaround and am disgusted with iTunes web-based support. I don't believe a person is reading my issue; the support e-mails appear automated - with human touches - to respond to key words in my question but don't answer the unique nature of this issue.
Has anyone else received viable assistance from iTunes web-based support?

  • Itunes will not accept my credit card

The data has been updated by me all! I understand the problem!
    Maybe someone has an idea

It's usually due to a discrepancy between the information you supplied vs. the issuing bank's records. Make sure all the information matches your mailing address exactly:

  • Itunes will not accept my Credit Card entered is not valid in Australia what duh?

This is my first time I've got an issue with Itunes,  I have to say I am APPLE biggest buyer and a loyal customer of APPLE but this error seems ridiculous.  I've been using the same credit card in itunes with no problems till today.  My last purchased was on the 3 March 2012, got 3 apps from itunes for my Iphone.  Just this morning tried to get another app with the same credit card, comes with an error stating that
'The credit card you entered is not valid in Australia. Please provide a valid credit card for Australia'
I find this is totally incorrect, I had contact my financial instituation confirming that there is nothing wrong with my card which is true.  I done searches in Apple Support regarding the error, implying that it could be the post code or the address, I can assured there is nothing wrong with my billing or postal address as it has always been the same.  I don't see what would be the reason my card got rejected?    This is very frustrating NOT HAPPY JAN!!............
Not a happy customer at the moment

It's frustrating, I thought there was something wrong with my credit cards then I called my bank. It was confirmed that two my cards were working. I entered two cards and same error.
You would need Mac Store to update your Mac as well :( its funny it was working two days ago I hope Apple can compensate lol
