ITunes won't Accept!!!

for some strange reason iTunes won't accept file's whose format suffix is: .rmj, is there a decrypter for this format of file available for download??

Aaron, .rmj files are REAL MEDIA streaming files that are not meant to be 'saved' . . . they do it that way for a copyright reasons, I suppose.
That said, I Googled ".rmj", and a LOT of converters are out there will do what you want. Since I've never used one and since I didn't see any free ones, I won't make a recommendation, ...well, you Google .rmj and you can decide what would be best for your sound needs AND your wallet.
Good luck!

My billing information is correct however iTunes won't accept it. I have tried changing it to "no" card, my statements from the banks are addressed to the same address. What the **** is going on?!

Debit cards already in an account seem to keep working, but many people have reported that when entering or updating a card that debit cards are now rejected, and they're not listed in the accepted payment methods.
As to your issue, only the iTunes Store can help you with this. I understand the irritation, but please note that the U2 free offer is just a single song, not an entire album, so we're only talking about $.99 if you miss out but still want the track. Not a big deal, in my humble opinion.
    Regards.

  • ITunes won't accept my password or let me log in

I am trying to log in to iTunes from my desktop (Mac), and my password is being rejected. Error message says I entered password wrong, and says an email will be sent to me at my email address on file. However, no email every arrives.
NOTE: I have no problem logging in with my Apple ID and password when I go to www.icloud.com or when I go to Manage My Apple ID Account on the Apple web site. There clearly does not appear to be a problem with my ID or password, but iTunes won't accept it! I was logged in probably an hour ago, but logged out in order to access some of our other family Apple ID accounts, and no I can't get back in!

  • My iTunes won't accept my iPod

Alright, the long story in short is that our computer underwent a factory reset. During this, it was unable to transfer my music onto an external source. Luckily enough I had my complete library stored on my iPod; however, after reinstalling iTunes on my repaired computer, I found that the iTunes would not let me put my music back onto the computer. Since most of my songs are very old (and very important to me) iTunes wouldn't accept them and would only take the few it recognized as being from the iTunes store. My question is: how do I put my songs back on my computer!? My entire library is now resting only in my iPod and I can't even sync new music onto it because iTunes will erase everything on there. Someone please help!

Connect your iPod to your computer. If it is set to update automatically you'll get a message that it is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press "Cancel". Pressing "Erase and Sync" will irretrievably remove all the songs from your iPod. Your iPod should appear in the iTunes source list from where you can change the update setting to manual and use your iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it. Also when using a lot of the utilities your iPod needs to be enabled for disc use, changing to manual update will do this by default. Check the "manually manage music and videos" box in Summary then press the Apply button: Managing content manually on iPod
Once you are safely connected there are a few things you can do to restore your iTunes from the iPod. If you have any iTMS purchases the transfer of purchased content from the iPod to authorised computers was introduced with iTunes 7. A paragraph on it has been added to this article: Transfer iTunes Store purchases using iPod
The transfer of non iTMS content such as songs imported from CD is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there is a manual method of accessing the iPod's hard drive and copying songs back to iTunes on Windows. The procedure is a bit involved and was written long before iTunes 7 so it requires a little adaptation, also it won't recover playlists but if you're interested it's posted in this thread: MacMuse - iPod to iTunes
If you prefer something more automated then there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. This is just a selection, you'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos, photos and games as well. Have a look at the web pages and documentation, they are generally quite straightforward. You can also read reviews of some of them here: Wired News - Rescue Your Stranded Tunes
    YamiPod Mac and Windows Versions
    iGadget Windows Only
iPod Access Mac and Windows Versions
    PodUtil Mac and Windows Versions
    iPodCopy Mac and Windows Versions
    TuneJack Windows Only
    CopyPod Windows Only
Whichever of these retrieval methods you choose, keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync.

  • ITunes won't accept password on MacBook Pro

This is a recent problem that just started happening - everytime iTunes opens it won't accept my password. No error message - it just keeps prompting me to enter password. I can use itunes but can't log in to my account for app updates or itunes store. Password works fine on iphone and for logging in to this forum, and i Message. Tried reseting and also repairing permissions as suggested in other posts - neither of those worked.

    *Hi Kyoki,*
*Welcome to AD. Nice to have you here. Yeah it's very frustrating having your computer crash and losing your music. I hope once you're able to add your music back from your iPod that you'll keep it backed up on an external hard drive or DVD's/CD's... Were you able to contact Apple Support to assist with the password reset process?*
    Thanks

  • ITunes won't accept my credit card

I'm deployed to Afghanistan. My credit card works here. iTunes told me I need to verify my credit card info because my old one expired. I've tried three different cards. I also tried to just save with "no card" to delete the existing card. I keep getting the error message "visit apple support apple.com/support/itunes/ww/." I went there and can't find this exact problem from anyone. I went to apple.com and updated my card there but it's still asking me to verify when I try to download even a free app. Being deployed and wanting to get an app to contact my fiancé, I'd really appreciate the help if someone could help me figure this out. Thanks.

I had my card on Itunes, used it several times and then my son went over his limit a couple of times, so I took my card off.  When my son wanted something, went in to put some money on the account, it would not accept the same card!
We went and bought a gift card.
Tried again today because I want to download a movie and guess what, first off I cannot remember my security questions, cannot find a way to get those reset.  Ok, I'll just buy on Itunes, it still won't accept my credit card.  And I hate, hate their customer service.
I am having the same issues with my son's gaming account.  I don't know what's going on.  At least with the gaming site I could talk to a real person, however, what he said did not help.

  • I've recently changed my network provider. iTunes recognized the new number and amended it in iTunes. My original number is now available but iTunes won't accept it or allow me to change the number on the device. How can I resolve this?

    Hi Guys
I have just changed my telophone provider in the UK from )2. To transfer the number, which I wanted to retain, took 24 hours and I was given a new number by the new provider Virgin Mobile. To unblock my iPhone I had to connect it to iTunes, which recognised my device and changed the telephone number. 24 hours later, my old number returned but iTunes won't recognise the device or allow me to change the number back to the original. How do I reslove this?
    Many thanks ;-)

If you only changed the name of your ID rather than creating a new ID, just go to Settins>iCloud and tap Delete Account then sign back in with the new name.  (Deleting the account from your phone does not delete it from iCloud.  Your data will be synced back to your phone when you sign back in.)
If you created a new ID, you'll have to go to Settings>iCloud on your phone and turn all data you are syncing with iCloud (contacts, calendars, etc.) to Off.  When prompted choose to keep the data on your iPhone.  (If you are syncing iWork documents with iCloud, also open your iWork apps and turn off iCloud syncing and choose to keep the documents on your phone.)  After everything is turned off, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.  Next, set up a new iCloud account using your other ID, then turn syncing for your data (contacts, etc.) back to On.  When prompted, choose Merge.  This will upload the data to your new account.
You won't lose any photos in your camera roll or photo library.  If you have any photos in your photo stream that are over 30 days old that are not in your camera roll or saved on your computer, be sure to save these to the camera roll before deleting the account.  To do so, open the photo stream album on your iPhone in the thumbnail view, tap Edit, tap all the photos you need to save to select them, tap Share, then tap Save to Camera Roll.

  • HT204053 have an apostrophe in my work email...itunes won't accept

Help! I have to create an itunes account with my company email. There is an apostrophe in my email and itunes will not accept the email.  I took the apostrophe out but then I don't get the email to verify the account. suggestions??

  • ITunes won't accept iPod Touch Remote

I'm trying to use the Remote App on my iPod Touch with the most recent version of iTunes (the one that includes support for the iPad). At first it accepted my iPod Touch 2g, then wouldn't let it connect anymore. I bought a new 3rd generation, and the same thing happened: it let it connect, then all of a sudden, it won't anymore. I've checked to make sure that the box is checked under the Devices tab AND I've double checked to make sure that iTunes is listed as an exception on the Firewall.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes AND done a factory reset on the iPod. I'm at wits end! Using the iPod as a remote is a big deal for me; I'm using it in a general music room and I need it to be able to control iTunes from anyplace in the room, not to mention using it to control music for concerts.
    PLEASE HELP!!!!!

I like you and a lot of people (I've been ready posts here and on iTunes reviews) have been trying to get this app to work, been at it for 2 days. I just got it to work and it is still working even after turning my iTouch off then back on. It actually finds my library each time now!
I have AT&T Gateway Broadband. There was the problem. I had to change the firewall for the broadband hardware. By typing http://homeportal in your browser it opened up all the info about my Gateway. There you can change the firewall settings.
I got all of this info from the following site (because we have a OutCast speaker - that I LOVE). Anyway the last page on this link is where I got the info to change the Hardware Router firewall setting. Some of the other info may also help troubleshoot.

Hope this can help you or someone else!!!
Good luck, I know how frustrating it can be.

  • ITunes won't accept a payment method... donno what else to say

Ok, So I'm a US citizen living in Canada, apparently this concept is too much for iTunes to handle.
When trying to pay for iTunes it asked for a credit card, I would like to just use free apps, but I guess this is the penalty I pay for going with Apple. So I enter my credit card and my address and get the message that this credit card is not valid in Canada (because I got it in the US). This is pretty amusing though because the 7-11 down the street finds it perfectly valid and is more than happy to take it.
So fine, I change my location to US, proceed to enter my US address (which is still valid, though no longer where I have my bills sent to). Fill out the form once again, and this time get a message that says my information doesn't match with my credit card. This one isn't a surprise, my credit card company knows I'm in Canada.
Fine, I'll use paypal, that -is- still linked to my US address/bank, and is perfectly valid and up to date. So I once again tell iTunes that sure, I'm living in the US (a blatant lie, but I'm getting pretty desperate to get at my free apps). So I hit paypal and continue, firefox opens, log into my paypal, click accept, etc and it sends me back to the iTunes store site at the end of it all, perfect, I log into paypal and there under my pay list is iTunes store, sure enough it worked.
So I open back up the iTunes app and click Sign In.... "This apple ID has not yet been used with the iTunes store". ARRRRRRG!
Since then I've tried changing my billing address on my card to get iTunes to accept it, which didn't work but resulted in such amusing errors as "Errors.zip", that's what it said, right above where I put my address in... but nothing I've found yet, across 2 credit cards and paypal has worked.
Is it really that hard to download free apps? Everyone recommended this because of how easy it is to use. Being an IT student I scoffed, as I often do at Apple products, but hey, I also recognize something well designed, and the iPod is that... now if only I could use it...
So I guess what I'm saying is... any tips or advice on how to get this to work?

I'd recommend contacting your bank and ask if there's anything on your account that might be stopping you from using your card. You can also contact support and have them check your account.

  • Itunes won't accept new songs

I have successfully uploaded over 7300 to itunes. These songs have been acquired in multiple facets such as downloading, and burning from cd, etc. However, the last two albums I have tried to upload to itunes by dragging or by adding folder itunes acts like I have done nothing at all and the songs do not appear. I have the UAC control off in Vista and I have checked the ownership settings of these songs and they are the same as all my other mp3's. What do I do to get itunes to accept music again? Any ideas or anyone experiencing this problem who has solved it please help!

I tried to look at this feed, but I get an error when looking at the URL: http://thisweekinforex.com/blog/?feed=podcast
Here is the information Chrome returned:
The webpage at http://thisweekinforex.com/blog/?feed=rss2 has resulted in too many redirects. Clearing your cookies for this site or allowing third-party cookies may fix the problem. If not, it is possibly a server configuration issue and not a problem with your computer.
Error 310 (net::ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS): There were too many redirects.
I too tried to generate my podcasts using PodPress with our WordPress.org site. I found it didn't work for me.
I finally disabled the plugins and tried Podcast Generator (http://podcastgen.sourceforge.net/) to generate my first working feed. Since then I have maintained the feed myself by directly updating the feed.xml file using my favorite text editor.
    Hope this helps!
