ITunes won't allow me to play a certain song

My iTunes won't allow me to play Paradise by Coldplay but allows me to play other songs. They told me to put my Apple I.D in and they recognized it but then it played another song. Help?

iTunes can play many different types of mpeg-4 videos that are not compatible with the iPod. iTunes can playback 720p and 1080p mpeg-4 AVC baseline 1.4 videos that can't even be played using AppleTV (or the iPod). So iTunes compatibility doesn't always mean iPod compatibility.
However, you can convert it in iTunes to ipod compatibility.
Highlight the movie in itunes, go to menu ADVANCED and select "Create iPod or iPhone version".

Itunes does not allow me to play or import songs from my CD

I just installed a new external Cd rom drive and Itunes recognizes the Cd is there and lists the song titles but when I try to play the songs it zooms through the songs not playing any and when i try to import them it says that all of them are obsurdly long and are not playable. The Cds work fine in other programs like Windows Media player. This is what i got when i ran Cd diagnostics:

I'm trying to get a video on my iPod but it's not allowing me, it says it can't be copied because it won't play on my iPod, despite it playing just fine on iTunes itself. I'd really appreciate the help. The video file is mp4.

ITunes won't allow me to play/sync to ipod a digital copy

I've just bought X-men Origins: Wolverine on dvd and it came with a digital copy, so i tried adding it to iTunes and that seemed to work but when i tried to play it, it plays (the seconds and minutes go forward) but with no picture/sound. When i tried to sync it to my iPod it said that I'm not authorised to play it on this computer. Thoughts?

Try creating a play list and then choose only the songs you want in that play list.
Then in iPad settings for music. Select manual selection and then just put a check mark by the new play list you just created. This way it only syncs this customized play list and not all of your music.
Sorry, I don't have specific steps in front of me. You can probably just search for a tip on Apple's website if you need specifics.

ITunes won't allow me to drag and drop songs into playlists

Running OS X 10.6.8 and iTunes 10.4 (80).
I cannot drag and drop songs within iTunes to create playlists or move songswithin playlists.
Here's what I've already tried:
-Reset iTunes Store cahce
-Log out & in of iTunes Store
-Quit & Restart itunes
-Rebuilt iTunes library (by moving iTunes Library.xml file and getting rid of .itl file)
-Checked info on iTunes folders so that permissions are both read & write
-Restart computer
-dug through a discussion of this problem on MacRumors and none of those solutions worked.
Getting frustrated and hate that I have to dig around in discussions and wait for the community to figure this out instead of Apple answering and solving the problem when their software doesn't work.
Has anyone figured out how to fix this? Aaaarrgh!

No, I haven't had any solution to this problem. None of the myriad of possible solutions work. Doesn't someone from Apple monitor these boards? I've given up in getting it fixed and am seriously ****** at the lack of response on Apple's part without me paying for an answer. This is a ridiculous way to support software, where I have to troll around a discussion board hoping someone stumbled upon a solution and will actually reply to this thread.

Won't allow me to play music purchased by an old email address, even though my computer is authorized

I have a ton of music that I purchased when my Mac account had a yahoo email address. I've updated my account to include my current mac address. iTunes won't allow me to play any of the old music, and it asks me to sign in with my yahoo address version of my account - which doesn't exist anymore. So I authorize the current account, and iTunes says I'm already authorized. Still won't allow me to play the music. How can I get all of that music to be a part of my real, current iTunes account??? Great, so now I have to airplay it by linking my computer to my Apple TV and then the movie has to buffer! So, all that time I spent downloading the HD video has to technically "download" again by buffering. The more I use Apple TV, the more I feel like this item was not created by Apple. I don't even use it for what I originally purchased it for. If I would have known that anytime I wanted to sync a movie from my computer to Apple TV by using airplay that it would have to buffer the movie, I would have never ever ever ever ever purchased this waste of time device. So the video has to technically play all the way through one time first so Apple TV can "remember" the movie to play it back in real time afterwards.
Am I missing something here? Am I doing something wrong that can be fixing my problem? I should have known that the Apple TV had so many things backwards when simple things like when you are using the remote and you reach the bottom of your list, in order to cycle back to the top of your list you have then press the directional buton back the other way rather than most modern day devices that will automatically cycle you back to the top or to the other side when you reached the bottom or end but keep on pressing the button. That **** annoys me when I am doing a search for a movie and have to type the name in manually and have to cycle back and forth to the letters. It makes me feel like I am using a rotary phone or something!

I was told by someone to try and purchase something directly from my Apple TV and that will help authorize my Apple TV. So I picked something that was free and it downloaded.
Then I went back to the Movie that would not work and it played just fine.
So it seemed to work. I will have to try it on other movies and TV shows later.

Purchased a song on my iTunes account, on my personal macbook and iTunes will not allow me to play it. Receiving message that I need to authorize my computer and even after I have done that it still will not allow me to play the song. Any suggestions? This is only happening with this one particular song.

Sorry, but as KP guessed, Apple will not exchange the card, and you are correct that you can't use a US iTunes card in Canada. You will need to give or sell it to someone in the US.

I've started to build a new library of music but iTunes won't allow me to manually manage the music on my iPhone without doing a complete sync, and erasing my first library. How do I resolve this?

It sounds as if you are trying to move it while attached to iTunes and move individual songs. In the Summary page of iTunes, do you have Manually Manage Music checked? If not, that is why you cannot move individual songs. If you change to manually manage music, it will give you a warning that it is going to delete all of the current music on the phone and only take what you manually move over there.

Forget the pad for a moment and just think about I tunes on your computer. Every now and then( 3 times over 6 years) when doing an I tunes upgrade, I tunes seems to lose track of some of my music files. They show up in the I tunes listing, but when you try to play, it cannot find the source. The cause is always that I have somehow moved some or all of the music to a library that is outside of the set of libraries I have dragged into I tunes.
On your computer, search for one of the songs. All the missing ones are probably together, and when you find one, you will find the rest. When you find it, note the directory and file path to where it lives, then add that path to your I tunes

Note, the original listing will still be in I tunes, so you will get double listings for theses songs, and no easy way to tell which is the valid ane and which is not, other than the ! Symbol when it cannot find the file. I know of no good way to get rid of the duplicate listing except manually going through and deleting them.
One you get them back into your I tunes library, they will sync and play fine.
Second side effect, if you are streaming to atv, and it comes accross one of those entries that leads nowhere, it simply stops streaming, and you have to restart the play.

I just bought an ipad 2 (which is compatible with HD movie right?) and i want to buy my sister's favorite movies "Tangled" and "Toy Story 3" in HD so i can transfer those to my iPhone and iPad.
but my monitor isn't HD monitor yet, and iTunes won't allow me to buy the HD movie anymore
it kinda strange because i've bought some HD movie before, but now it says:
"This cannot be purchased in HD on this computer
To buy or rent this in HD, your computer and display must both support HDCP"
is there a way for me to buy those movies in HD without having to buy a new HD monitor or purchase it on my iPad ? because my pc has faster connection speed than my iPad.

Apple does not provide support in these forums. Everyone who replies, with extremely rare exceptions, is just a fellow user.
There are several different possible issues presented in this thread, so it's difficult to provide any ideas or suggestions since I can't tell which of the "same problems" you actually have.
