ITunes won't allow me to play/sync to ipod a digital copy

I've just bought X-men Origins: Wolverine on dvd and it came with a digital copy, so i tried adding it to iTunes and that seemed to work but when i tried to play it, it plays (the seconds and minutes go forward) but with no picture/sound. When i tried to sync it to my iPod it said that I'm not authorised to play it on this computer. Thoughts?

Try creating a play list and then choose only the songs you want in that play list.
Then in iPad settings for music. Select manual selection and then just put a check mark by the new play list you just created. This way it only syncs this customized play list and not all of your music.
Sorry, I don't have specific steps in front of me. You can probably just search for a tip on Apple's website if you need specifics.

New computer hard drive won't allow old songs to sync to ipod

We had a virus hit our laptop and had to wipe out everything on the hard drive and reinstall the oper. syst. We backed up the itunes for 4 different accounts first. They all reinstalled OK, but the songs in the library won't sync to the ipod because it says that our computer isn't authorized to hold the old songs. It looks like itunes doesn't recognize our computer anymore. Anyone had this happen to them?

I did that with all 4 accounts, but still no success. The only ipod that I synced and lost songs was my own, the other 3 ipods (my daughters) still have all of their old songs on them. If they manually manage music rather than syncing, could they keep their old music and load the new music also?

I have a ton of music that I purchased when my Mac account had a yahoo email address. I've updated my account to include my current mac address. iTunes won't allow me to play any of the old music, and it asks me to sign in with my yahoo address version of my account - which doesn't exist anymore. Great, so now I have to airplay it by linking my computer to my Apple TV and then the movie has to buffer! So, all that time I spent downloading the HD video has to technically "download" again by buffering. The more I use Apple TV, the more I feel like this item was not created by Apple. I don't even use it for what I originally purchased it for. If I would have known that anytime I wanted to sync a movie from my computer to Apple TV by using airplay that it would have to buffer the movie, I would have never ever ever ever ever purchased this waste of time device. So the video has to technically play all the way through one time first so Apple TV can "remember" the movie to play it back in real time afterwards.
Am I missing something here? Am I doing something wrong that can be fixing my problem? I should have known that the Apple TV had so many things backwards when simple things like when you are using the remote and you reach the bottom of your list, in order to cycle back to the top of your list you have then press the directional buton back the other way rather than most modern day devices that will automatically cycle you back to the top or to the other side when you reached the bottom or end but keep on pressing the button. That **** annoys me when I am doing a search for a movie and have to type the name in manually and have to cycle back and forth to the letters. It makes me feel like I am using a rotary phone or something!

I was told by someone to try and purchase something directly from my Apple TV and that will help authorize my Apple TV. So I picked something that was free and it downloaded.
Then I went back to the Movie that would not work and it played just fine.
So it seemed to work. I will have to try it on other movies and TV shows later.

Purchased a song on my iTunes account, on my personal macbook and iTunes will not allow me to play it. Receiving message that I need to authorize my computer and even after I have done that it still will not allow me to play the song. Any suggestions? This is only happening with this one particular song.

I've started to build a new library of music but iTunes won't allow me to manually manage the music on my iPhone without doing a complete sync, and erasing my first library. How do I resolve this?

It sounds as if you are trying to move it while attached to iTunes and move individual songs. In the Summary page of iTunes, do you have Manually Manage Music checked? If not, that is why you cannot move individual songs. If you change to manually manage music, it will give you a warning that it is going to delete all of the current music on the phone and only take what you manually move over there.

Forget the pad for a moment and just think about I tunes on your computer. Every now and then( 3 times over 6 years) when doing an I tunes upgrade, I tunes seems to lose track of some of my music files. They show up in the I tunes listing, but when you try to play, it cannot find the source. The cause is always that I have somehow moved some or all of the music to a library that is outside of the set of libraries I have dragged into I tunes.
On your computer, search for one of the songs. All the missing ones are probably together, and when you find one, you will find the rest. When you find it, note the directory and file path to where it lives, then add that path to your I tunes

Note, the original listing will still be in I tunes, so you will get double listings for theses songs, and no easy way to tell which is the valid ane and which is not, other than the ! Symbol when it cannot find the file. I know of no good way to get rid of the duplicate listing except manually going through and deleting them.
One you get them back into your I tunes library, they will sync and play fine.
Second side effect, if you are streaming to atv, and it comes accross one of those entries that leads nowhere, it simply stops streaming, and you have to restart the play.

Sorry, but as KP guessed, Apple will not exchange the card, and you are correct that you can't use a US iTunes card in Canada. You will need to give or sell it to someone in the US.
