ITunes won't download because my computer isn't "modified"?

Okay. So when I got my iPad and started syncing things, my iTunes just didn't work after that.
Being the stupid idiot I am, I ended up just deleting off my whole computer.
Now, I cant install it because of my system not being modified.
I did a system restore and uninstalled all the Apple things I had in my computer and still nothing works :c.
Is there anything else I can do?
( I run on Windows 7, and Im not sure if I got 32 or 64. I got this laptop back in December 2011 )

I have a brand new Dell computer and a new nano, I get the same message. I have uninstalled 3 times with the same result. I can successfully download version 4 and version 6 of itunes, but I need version 7 to get my ipod to work. All Apple said to do was to uninstall and try again, very helpful....not. Why is this acceptable, to buy something that won't work?

  • Why do I see: iTunes Help is unavailable because your computer isn't connected to the Internet.  IE9 works fine but iTunes does not connect to the store.

I have tried 4 days to get iTunes 10.4 working on my Win7 x64 machine.  I purchased a new iPhone4 and after syncing it the first time, I can't connect to the iTunes store.
When I try to run iTunes Help, I get this message "iTunes Help is unavailable because your computer isn’t connected to the Internet."  However IE9 and Google Chrome run as always...... no connection problems.
I have already uninstalled IE9 x64 and iTunes 10.4 x64 and reinstalled but still the same.  I followed all the instructions I could find about firewalls, ports, SSL etc.

  • TS3212 itunes won't download because something about "mobile device not authorized?"

itunes won't download because something about "mobile device not authorized?"

    Hi buckirich,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.  It sounds like you may need to restart the Apple Mobile Device Service.  This article has instructions for doing this:
How to restart the Apple Mobile Device Service (AMDS) on Windows
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1567
If that doesn't resolve the issue, I would recommend trying a thorough uninstall and reinstall of iTunes as described here:
Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923

  • ITunes won't download because MSVCR80.dll is missing

I have had an iTunes account, and have much music on file.  I have recently been unable to access it because MSVCR80.dll is missing.  It said to uninstall my iTunes, which I did, but now the new version still won't download.
    Help, anyone??

Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

I deleted iTunes and I am trying to download the current iTunes from the Apple website but it keep giving me an error that says 'Internet Explorer cannot download itunesSetup.exe from appldnld.apple.com. It is a desktop computer so I can't just take it to the local library to add it from a wifi connection. Any help is appreciated.

  • My itunes won't download because of older itunes software

I've tried to redownload itunes on to my computer after it was reimaged, and it wont allow me to download it because of old itunes software. Anyone know how to fix the problem? I've tried to delete any old itunes update software remaining on my laptop, but it wont delete.

Probably could be some residue in registry. For windows 7 see support.microsoft.com/mats/Program_Install_and_Uninstall
Did I see XP? There is a similar tool (no longer supported by microsoft) available on the web called windows installer cleanup utility. It allows you to inspect the registry. With EXTREME CARE delete any entries containing the words  iTunes, Quicktime, Bonjour

  • ITunes won't open because of computer settings

I'm trying to install iTunes on my boss' computer so we can access his work-related iPad/iPhone app purchases. We keep getting the error "The iTunes application could not be opened. The disk you are attempting to use is full."
This error made no sense to me because his hard drive has over 200GB free. I finally figured out that iTunes automatically creates folders in "My Documents" that it needs in order to open.
The problem is that on campus, "My Documents" is universally mapped to an individual network drive - NOT the C drive. And this drive is too full to support iTunes.
I tried manually moving the folder over to the C drive, but iTunes automatically recreates the folder on the networked drive when I try to open it.
How can I change where iTunes does this when I can't access iTunes at all?

I tried manually moving the folder over to the C drive, but iTunes automatically recreates the folder on the networked drive when I try to open it.
Okay. Try instead creating a new library on your C drive, using the instructions in the following document:
[How to open an alternate iTunes Library file or create a new one|http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1589]

  • ITunes won't download to my computer

ITunes was working fine until I tried to update to the latest version. When I did, things went wrong. I tried to reinstall but it would not work. I then tried to delete ITunes and even did a System Restore. Still no luck. When I try to run ITunes, a message comes up that some of the required files are missing and to reinstall ITunes. When I try to reinstall, it gets al;most all the way through the install process and a message comes up that older version of "Bonjour" cannot be removed and to contact my Technical Support Group. When I click that message off, the install keeps going for a few more steps and then suddenly stops, throwing up a box that says ITunes Installer Interrupted ..... your system has not been modified..... try again later

With the Error 2, let's try a standalone Apple Application Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of the issue.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR:
    http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm
Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleApplicationSupport.msi to do a standalone AAS install.
Does it install properly for you?
If instead you get an error message during the install, let us know what it says. (Precise text, please.)

  • When I'm trying to sync my iPad with iTunes on my MacBook Pro, i keep getting a message that certain recent purchases (TV shows) won't sync because the computer is not authorized.  But, it IS authorized!  What's going on here??

I've recently upgraded my iPad to OS 5 and I am running iTunes 10 on my MacBook Pro.  For some unexplainable reason, I'm now getting a message that items (mainly TV shows I've purchased through iTunes) are not able to be downloaded because the computer is "not authorized."  But the computer IS authorized.  I follow the instructions to "authorize" it and, of course, I'm then told that the computer is already authorized!  Still, the downloads won't sync.
Can anyone help me out with this?

I have the same problem. It is only with tv shows and only with programs I have downloaded after the software update.
Apple support sent me the above link too....but it doesn't solve the problem...my computer is authorized and the content is in my library and will play on my Mac air, but it will not sync the tv shows, it keeps saying my computer isn't authorized for it.
No answers here, but you are definitely not alone with this issue.

I downloaded an album but some of the songs won't play - says my computer isn't authorized to play the song. I checked the authorization, and this computer is authorized. How do I fix this?

If just some of the tracks on the album are doing that, that suggests those tracks are damaged.
If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copies of the dodgy tracks and try redownloading fresh copies. For instructions, see the following document:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
Otherwise, I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the items that are not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the items, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" links next to the items.
