ITunes won't load all the way...Help??

My iTunes store comes up, bar loads half way, no error message. It is only the white screen. I'm on Windows 7, and I have tried reinstalling it, restoring, repairing and uninstalling completely. I'm out of ideas. Can anyone help me? I can access my account, but I can't get anywhere else. The bar just stops loading. I've tried running diagnostics, but every time I do that, iTunes becomes non-responsive.

I've tryied installing iTunes 7 like 8 different ways and it won't install all the way each time it stops at "Resigtering modules"
by any chance, do you have SpyCatcher antispyware software installed on that PC? in quite a number of these "registering modules" hangs, modules installed by SpyCatcher have been interfering with the registration of the itunes modules.
if you do have SpyCatcher, try uninstalling SpyCatcher altogether prior to an itunes install. if the itunes install then goes through properly, you can reinstall SpyCatcher afterwards.

  • My macbook pro won't load all the way when I start it up.

Lately, my mac book pro has been slow to use, and the colour wheel pops up often. I shut it down earlier today, and now when I try to start it up, it won't load all the way. When I do manage to get to the homescreen, the applications and toolbars won't load. Any ideas what the issue might be and how I can fix it?

It could be a number of issues, Fred.
Have you optimized your photos to no larger than 1000x750 pixels, per the FAQs to the right of this forum? Oversized photos are the chief reason for these types of failures.
    http://forums.adobe.com/thread/431851?tstart=0
You also say your videos are MP4s. Are these AVCHD video or are they from a "webbie" camcorder, such as the Flip cam? Flip video uses a proprietary codec that often jams up video editors. This is also covered in our FAQs.
    http://forums.adobe.com/thread/437535?tstart=0
Finally, have you ensured that the drive you are saving your video to has adequate free space and is freshly defragmented? You should always have at least 30 gigs of free space on your drive plus 30-50 more for each hour of video you're outputting.
And, if you are exporting to a drive other than your C drive, you should ensure that the drive is formatted NTFS rather than FAT32. FAT32 drives have a file size limit that often chokes video output.

  • My iTunes won't scroll all the way to the bottom. How can I fix this?

I have a large library, and I can't scroll all the way to the bottom. This is the same for the iTunes homepage, and any other pages, so that I cannot get to the bottom of the page. How can I fix this?

''downloads won't open from the Download List:''
The Downloads Manager ("Ctrl+J") is more like a log of downloads, it does not verify that the download still exits. Make sure you are setup to download to a permanent location, not into temporary files that get cleaned by the browser or by CCCleaner or something designed to clear out temporary files.
    Tools > Options > General > Downloads: ...
Tools > Options > Privacy > [x] Remember download history
Don't clear your download history automatically, but having a lot there whether they exist or not, can slow down Firefox at least it was an issue:
The may be additional about:config settings in addition to the above.

  • Thumbnails in library grid view won't load all the way

Anyone else getting this in LR 3.2? Kind of frustrating to only have half or so of the thumbnails in
grid library view load. This also happens in the scroll bar view.
    Win 7 64 bit

    Are these huge files?
Are you generating standard or 1:1 previews?
If 1:1 try switching to standard to see if that helps.

  • Sometimes when I start to load an image for the first time, it just stops and even if I refresh the page it won't load all the way. Why?

There seems to be no real reason why this happens. I've even tried clearing history and cookies and it doesn't change anything.
Most oddly, on some websites where I have accounts, on some accounts the images load and other times they don't.

Thanks I suspected it might be something along those lines, I've not read much about ImageObservers so I will do now :)
Although I just made a brief test and opted for option 2 and now I'm getting an out of memory :S
"Exception in thread "Image Fetcher 0" java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space"
Edit: So I'm now using more memory with these images than the heap can take. By using the:
new ImageIcon(imageToAdd); //loads the imageAm I now doubling the memory required for one image as this ImageIcon is created as well as the Image?
Is there a way of increasing the amount of memory Java is allocated easily without having to put in command line parameters every time? This will be running from a Jar file, can I do something with that?

    Edit numero 2:
Had a brief google around see it's not easy but will have a look at cutting my images down in size before allocating more memory to java :P

  • The apps I get from the App Store won't download all the way?

I Have gotten some apps from the App Store and they won't download all the way. It says that they are waiting. Also some of my already downloaded apps that need updates won't  update and I can't get into them. Please  help me I'm new at all of this stuff.

I have posted these suggestions for the "waiting" apps issue many times in the past. Many of these suggestions have worked for others in the past. Hopefully, one of them will work for you.
    1. Tap the "waiting" icon and see if you can pause it. If it does pause, then tap it again and see if it will resume. If that works, repeat the same steps for each "waiting" icon.
    2. Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
    3. Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first.
    4. If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Sign in and then try to update again. Tap one waiting icon only if necessary to start the download stream.
    5. You can also try deleting the waiting icons - tap and hold down on an icon until it wiggles - the tap the X on the icon to delete it. Then try to download again. Apps may also be able to be deleted in Settings>General>Usage>Storage if you cannot get the X to pop up on the icon.
    6. You can try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered.
    7. If all else fails, download the updates or the apps in iTunes on your computer and then sync the content to your iPad.

    Hello williamsherry,
You want to reset your computer back to factory settings.
First to make sure that you’re not having a problem with any of the hardware in the computer, run a diagnostics test.
    Turn off the computer.
As you power it back on tap the F2 key. This will load hardware diagnostics.
    Run the start up test.
This will test all the hardware in the system and detect any problems.
If all tests pass you can run a recovery from the partition on the computer.
    Recovery from Windows 7
If Windows 7 opens correctly, perform the following steps to start a system recovery from the Windows 7 start menu.
    Turn off the computer.
Disconnect all connected devices and cables such as Personal Media Drives, USB drives, printers, and faxes. Remove media from internal drives, and remove any recently added internal hardware. Do not disconnect the monitor, keyboard, mouse, or power cord.
    Turn on the computer.
Click Start, All Programs , Recovery Manager , and then click Recovery Manager again.
If you are prompted for an Administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation. If a User Account Control window asks if you want to allow the program to make changes to the computer, click Yes.
Under I need help immediately, click System Recovery.
The Recovery Manager asks if you want to restore the computer to its original factory shipped condition. Click Yes, and then click Next.
The computer restarts. If the recovery partition on the hard disk drive is functioning correctly, the Recovery Manager window appears.
    Click System Recovery.
When System Recovery prompts you to back up your files, select a backup option:
If you have already backed up personal files or you do not want to back up personal files, select Recover without backing up your files, and then click Next. Continue to the next step.
Click OK in the warning that appears.
After the system recovery is complete, click Finish to restart the computer. Complete the setup screens and wait until the computer finishes the setup.
Once the setup is complete, turn off the computer, reconnect all devices and cables, and then turn on the computer.
Before using the computer, update and protect your computer. Reinstall any virus and security software that was installed before the system recovery.
Reinstall any software programs that were added after purchasing the computer, as well as any files that were backed up.
Here is a link on how to perform a system recovery.
Clicking the White Kudos star on the left is a way to say Thanks!
Let me know how everything goes.
    Have a good day.
