ITunes won't open - will not let me direct it to the iTunes folder

I have iTunes 6 on my main internal HD and my iTunes library and files on my 2nd internal HD.
I have just put these disks into another computer.
Now when I try to open iTunes it says the folder iTunes cannot be found.
I know where it is and I could direct it to the new location but it won't let me. It only has one button that says OK and if I click that iTunes quits.
I've read here on the forum that if I hold the option key while starting iTunes it will let me find the folder. No it doesn't. It just quits as I described above.
How am I supposed to point it to the library?

Of course not. Reinstall and if the Libraries are in the standard location in your computer (i.e. iTunes placed them and not you), it will immediately find the libraries. Just don't throw away the libraries. You can reinstall over the existing iTunes. BTW never forget to backup your computer.
