ITunes won't open, "windows is checking for a solution to the problem."
I attempt to open up iTunes, and it thinks about it, loads for about 6 seconds, then comes with a window, first saying "Windows is checking for a solution to the problem," then after it loads, it says "A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."
Obviously it doesn't notify me. This has been happening to me for about 2 months. I am very very sad, and just want to go on my iTunes. Someone please help me!! Thank you!
i'm not sure either. i am also running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit but havent had any problems.

Lightroom has stopped running windows is searching for a solution to the problem"
Lightroom stopped running on Vista 32 windows error message says "Lightroom has stopped running windows is searching for a solution to the problem"...Also some RAW images opened in CS2, Bridge or Lightroom have bands of different colors depending on the image and are unusable. At the same time Lightroom works fine on my laptop running Vista 32.
Are you looking at the images at 100% resolution? Banding can appear in other enlargements due to rounding errors.

What is this : "Firefox has stopped working Window is chcking for a solution to the program"

How i solved out itYour Firefox 3.6 is apparently crashing or hanging.
Firefox 3.6 is no longer supported and is not secure, so you are increasing the risks to your computer and personal data. It is probably a good time to upgrade to Firefox 14 from http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html
Do not use any option from Windows or firefox that offers to remove personal data (because that destroys bookmarks, passwords and settings). If you have problems once you install a recent version you may neeed to look at

Disable "Windows is checking for a solution..."
Vista and many applications, including IE7, exist in a fragile relationship wherein the applications crash for many reasons.
Vista has the truly annoying response "Windows is checking for a solution...".
Is there any way to disable this functionality so that the program just crashes?
Given the instability I experience in Vista I am always running task manager so I can kill these processes myself much faster and I find this built-in functionality to be unfunctional.
Your assitance will be much appreciated.Open Start -> All Programs -> Maintenance -> Problem Reports and Solutions.
In the Problem Reports and Solutions window,
Click Change settings -> Advanced settings and
Turn off problem settings -

ITunes won't open after installing update for 10.4
I updated my iTunes to the most recent version and restarted my computer. When my computer turned back on, I tried to open iTunes but it just keeps giving me the "The application iTunes quit unexpectedly" message and asks me to either ignore report or relaunch. Every time I click relaunch, the message comes up again. My OS is Mac OSX Version 10.5.8. Anyone know what to do?
hello Nevada!
After installing the latest itunes update, itunes
won't open at all. I click on it and it just won't
open.
are you getting an error message? if so, what does it
say?
or are you getting no error messages whatsoever? if
so, could you let us know the results of the
following observations?
reboot your PC. open Task Manager to the Processes
Tab. now try to launch itunes again.
does an itunes.exe process appear in Task Manager? if
so, does it persist in there, or does it disappear
after a few seconds?

b noir - i have been following your advice and i want to thank you for taking your time to try and solve these problems for ipod users.
i have been following this message board each day for the past week - ever since my iTunes stopped working. i have not yet seen anyone who is receiving the same error message as myself.
like most others, i downloaded the recent update for iTunes - since then, iTunes will not open. i have tried most of the other proposed solutions to no avail, such as downloading a stand-alone version of quicktime, making sure my msconfig start-up has the correct check marks, etc.
the iTunes set-up completes with no problem - i have tried installing by saving the file to my hard drive and then running and also by running the program straight from the download window. same results.
once i go to open iTunes, i receive the following error message: "iTunes has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. if you were in the middle of something, the information you were working on might be lost. Please tell Microsoft about this problem." Then I click "Send Error Report" just hoping I will receive a required update to make this work.
i was wondering if you could attempt to help me resolve this issue? i have my music saved to my external hard drive, so i am in no danger of losing my music. however, i need to open iTunes to update my iPod.
thanks in advance for your help.

Hello,
Up until recently, Photoshop & Illustrator stopped working. When I would open the program it would begin to load and then come up with the message ' Adobe Photoshop has stopped working'
After which there would be another message ' Windows is checking for solution to the problem'
and then finally ' A problem caused the program to stop working correctly, windows will lose the program and notify you if a solution is available.'
Indesign on startup seems to load normally and is fine.
Do help, time is of the essence.
Thank you,
Tanya

My iTunes opens fine if it is the first time I have opened it since turning my computer on. If I close iTunes, however, it won't open again unless I restart my computer. No error message appears. Clicking on both the shortcut and file in iTunes folder does nothing. I unistalled iTunes and reinstalled it but the issue hasn't gone away. A virus scan has come up with nothing. I would appreciate any ideas that might help to fix this issue.
Having the same problem - am running Win 7 Pro 32 bit. Discovered that when you close iTunes task manager shows that iTunes.exe is still running and will not close unless you reboot. I have also found that after starting Win 7 that if I launch iTunes by inserting a CD, the CD plays and displays all tracks correctly. However, if I eject the CD and insert a different one neither Win 7 or iTunes recognises the CD. These problems seem to have started with the release of 10.5.2 - prior to that no problems at all. Have tried reinstalling and it does not make any difference.

Good day. I need some help... I just installed a new computer and I had to download Acrobat to my system. I have a paid subscription that I have not been able to use for a month because I keep getting the above error message. I have also placed below the "problem signature." I have uninstalled the program, rebooted my system, re installed the program as a "trial" and still can't get any where. My level of frustration is climbing... Is there anyone who has the answer? I've looked in the forums and have not found anything even close to my problem. Thank you for your time, in advanced, any one who helps me out.. Thanks...
