Itunes won't play the whole of the track

I chose a track from a CD I had loaded on to itunes to use as a ringtone for my iphone.
The instructions I followed said that the clip musn't be longer than 30 seconds, so I did that and loaded the track onto my iphone. The ringtone on the iphone is working fine.
But, when I played that particular track on itunes, it always cut out after 30 seconds.
So, I deleted the whole album and reloaded it onto itunes.
But it makes no difference. It still cuts out after 30 seconds.
I tried:
clicking on the track,
then right clicked for "Get Info",
then "Options"
and changed the time back to the length of the originsal recording.
But it always changes back to 30 seconds.
Please can anyone help?

Did you delete the hard copy of the songs from your computer after you uploaded them?
If so just highlight the said songs and delete but do not check the box that says delete from iCloud and your songs should play fine.
This happens when the original file is moved from the location that itunes was looking for it at and if you did this because you uploaded it then it will still be in the cloud you just need itunes to read from cloud and not think it's supposed to be finding the original file

ITunes won't play the last two episodes of my BlogTalkRadio podcast

The latest two episodes of my podcast hosted on BlogTalkRadio and syndicated to iTunes won't play. Both episodes play the BlogTalkRadio-supplied preroll ad, and there is correct length and description metadata, but the files play 1 second of silence.
Both episodes work fine when listened to on BTR, and all other previous episodes work on iTunes.

It's not really possible to comment unless you would like to publish the URLs of both your feed and the Store page - this latter can be found by control-clicking on the podcast image (or where it should be) - and choosing 'Copy link'. Please include the http:// in both cases to make the links clickable.

My computer says that all my music files are iTunes compatible but iTunes won't play the songs; how do i get them to sync?

I formerly used Zune, which i find much more user friendly than iTunes. I bought most of my music through that program, but have since tried to import the files to iTunes so i can put them on my iPhone. All of the files have the iTunes icon & under properties say that the program that will automatically play it is iTunes, but when i click play iTunes opens up but nothing plays. They play just find on Zune & Windows Media Player so i know the track are fine. Why won't iTunes play them? i'm honestly so frustrated.

If they were songs you purchased from itunes, try redownloading them from your purchases...
if that doednt work, make sure the optuon to copy files to itunes media folder is checked in settings, then find and download from the net. and re-add them to your library

ITunes won't play the radio

This has been going on for about a week or two. I open iTunes and try to tune into a radio station but an error message keeps popping up...'An error occured while trying to contact the radio tuning service...try later'
Anyone else getting the same problem?
Believe it or not everyone, I thought I would just conduct a little experiment. I disabled my firewall, McAfee and the radio worked. If anyone is having problems with the radio and happens to use McAfee, disable the firewall.

Moved Library from one Mac to another. iTunes won't play tracks in order.

I moved all my iTunes music from my Mac Pro to my MacBook Pro by simply moving the "iTunes" folder from one to the other. There wasn't anything in the MacBook Pro iTunes folder so I just deleted it and replaced it with the one from my Mac Pro.
However although all looks just right in the iTunes browser when I open it up, unfortunately iTunes won't play the tracks in order.
If I play a track on one album when it comes to the end of that, it doesn't continue with the next track on that album, but rather skips to the first track of a later album.
I wonder if anyone has any suggestions for how I might remedy this?

I don't use it, no. I've been reading about it recently, and it was an example of where the quality of a Song can change if it is downloaded from iTunes Match.
I've used Home Sharing though, as follows:
1. Copy music from CD to iTunes on Windows PC
2. Transfer music from Windows PC to iMac using Home Sharing
I do this becasue the iMac doesn't have a optical drive. I haven't checked to see if the quality has changed, but I assume it just copies the files so it wouldn't make sense if the quality had changed.

ITunes won't play imported tunes w/o original CD in CD-Reader

I imported some tunes into ITunes from the original music CD, but when I remove the CD ITunes won't play the tunes until I put the CD back in the reader. Solved my problem. I had plugged in my new ION USB turntable to an USB port but not to a stereo amplifier thinking that the sound would play through my IMAC speakers. According to the ION user manual sound will come through my computer speakers when I recording a track from a record. What the manual did not say was that plugging into the USB port disabled the speakers from ITunes. When I unplugged the ION cable from the USB port I got my ITunes sound back.

Hi,
As you have match, I suggest that you create a new library by holding ctrl whist launching iTunes. Select create new library. Sign into iTunes Store and activate match. You will now have access to your music and will be able to stream your music.
Options : get a new external drive formatted for mac and either download music from match or copy music from old drive to new one. Alternatively you could reformat old drive and download music from match - I would not be comfortable using this option as it means erasing drive before being able to use with mac.

ITunes won't play content bought in the iTunes store.

I purchased some video content from the iTunes store a while ago, watched it a few times without a problem. But since a few weeks ago, iTunes won't play it, all I get is a black screen, and a progress bar at the top.
Everything else works fine, appart form this. Which is annoying, since I paid for it.
Is there any way to fix this, or should I just ask the iTunes store for my money back?

I am having the same problem. Why do we keep using Apple when their support is so pitiful? You cannot contact Apple about problems. Hopefully they will eventually correct the problem. Good Luck.

My music is stored on iCloud and when I'm playing a playlist, it'll only play the track I choose and won't go on to the next one, it just repeats the one I selected. Any ideas please?

I have the same problem!! only thing is that i have the ipod touch 5th generation and a mac. I've been trying to find a way to get all my music to play cuz it will only play on itunes but when i try to play it on my ipod it'll just show a circle with a red square in the middle next to the songs i cant play.

Depending upon what country that you are in (music can't be re-downloaded in all countries) then try deleting the track from the Music app on your iPad and redownload it via the Purchased tab in the iTunes store app (or via the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes).

Itunes doesn't play the video anymore

Help! ITunes doesn't play the video clips anymore just the sound works.
I've restarted, quit the other applications but no result.

If you are playing through remote speakers, iTunes 8.1 will not play the video. Previous versions would play fine using only the computer's speakers, but 8.1 requires the remote airtunes speakers be deselected.
