Itunes won't recognize my password when I import a file

when I download from Audible it won't automaticly install the file to my iPod. It tell me to manually install. When i try to install I get message that my password is incorrect.

Have you figured out the solution cause I'm having the same problem

After downloading the new OS software, my iTunes won't recognize my password to restore all my stuff after it was backed up!! All my contacts, personal settings, pictures and videos are stuck on my computer and it WON'T restore back to my iPhone!! Funny tho, all my music and folders restored. I am confused and so upset:'( Is there a way to re-set the original password? I have tried every password I can think of and the frustration is killing me!! Any suggestions???

Nope. You obviously didn't read (or didn't remember) the User Guide. I will include a link for you. If you use the iPhone as Apple recommends (so that you do NOT experience data loss), frequent backups are advised, as are synching contacts/calendars with an appropriate cloud service or computer-based contact manager like Outlook.

Just installed 10.6.8, and now iTunes won't recognize my iPad2 when I plug it in. Did I mess up some settings?

After moving up to OS10.6.8, iTunes no longer reognizes my iPad2 when I connect them. Is it the new system, or did I mess up settings on the Pad? I want to install iOS5 on the iPad.

When I have my iPad (iPad 3) around and I start up iTunes on our iMac (Snow Leopard), I can't get iTunes to recognize our iPod (connected via the sync cable). The iPod gets the red symbol and the "Do Not Disconnect" on it, but never shows up on iTunes. They only way I've been able to sync the iPod (30 Gb) is to shut off the iPad, which syncs via Wi-Fi, and re-boot the iPod, then plug it back in. I've written Apple three times, but have never heard back from them. I've enjoyed the connectivity that Apples enjoy, but this troubling inability in iTunes realy torques me.

Interesting -- zero responses after 10 months. I'm the only person who's noticed this?

When my Dad tries to log into his iTunes account he keeps receiving the message his login and password don't match. He then changes his password and it works for a little bit then this starts all over again. Any suggestions? He is using an EarthLink email address could that be a problem?

Does your ID or password have any unusual characters.
Are you getting any date/time errors.
Is this the first time you have used the Apple TV.

Here's a weird one. (MacBook Pro 2.4G 10.6.2) Tried to buy something on the itunes store, and my password does not work. So, I recover the password. Still doesn't work. Then I reset the password... 3 times. None of those work either.
So, I go to my office computer (Mac Pro 8-core 10.6.2) and reset the password again. Works fine. I can access the itunes store or anything else on Apple's site. I take that same password into the other room, and using the MacBook Pro, the itunes store says "invalid user or password" and will not allow me on. Yet, I am still on that computer, using that same password, to log into the forums here... This computer will log into Apple but not into itunes.
itunes support says that since the password is stored on their site, it should work on either computer. It doesn't.

I am having a similar issue. I recently tried to sync my Ipod with iTunes and got a message saying 100 songs were not autorized and I need to authorize computer. Odd as I have been syncing these devices for years. I go to authorize, and iTunes won't recognize my password. I change password. Still no luck. then I go to STORE>>VIEW MY ACCOUNT, and using the same user ID and password I can access all my info. But when I try STORE>>AUTHORIZE COMPUTER, I get the failed message again. How is that possible? So, now I have music I can't play on my iPod for absolutely no reason.

I tried to download iOS 7 and I got an error message and iTunes said the update failed. Since that moment, my phone has shown the iTunes logo with the cable, prompting me to plug my phone into my computer and sync it with iTunes. Conveniently enough however, iTunes won't recognize my iPhone when I plug it in, but it will recognize my iPod touch when I plug that in to the computer. I have restarted my computer, reinstalled iTunes numerous times and yet nothing has worked. So essentially I have no ability to restore my phone and no ability access it in any way shape or form.....any help?!

I changed my Apple ID to my new email and now cannot find any way to access icloud. Unfortunately I had allowed icloud to hijack my airbook files, so of course I am afraid I will lose them tomorrow when I exchange my iphone for a new one and cannot keep an icloud account i cannot access. Unplug your Iphone out of your computer and replug it back in. It took me several times before I could do this

Hello skdog I possibly think your ipod touch is black because it has not charged. If your dock is broken it might just mean the dock will be broken and so might be the USB port. You should see an Apple shop nearby and hand it over and see what they can do. I hope this information works!
