Itunes won't run, says "invalid drive g:\"

There are two users on my PC. After upgrading to itunes 7 only the user that is the administrator can run itunes. When I log in as the other user and click on itunes, it begins to install then stops and says "invalid drive g:\" What can I do to resolve this?

Are you trying to RUN it in the other account or INSTALL it. Big difference. You should only have to install iTunes ONCE for the entire computer and all user accounts can use it.
However only one user account at a time can be running iTunes in Windows (Mac users can have multiple users all running iTunes at the same time). So you installed it on the Admin account. Now shut down iTunes. Open the other account and simply run iTunes (if that isn't what you did before).

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
The section Install missing components has advice on breaking down the iTunes installer into the individual .msi files which might prove useful if Apple Application Support won't install normally.

Itunes won't run - says quicktime is v6.5

After responding to apple's notification that new software is available, I downloaded and installed the latest version of itunes and quicktime. I restarted the machine and now I can't launch iTunes!
Get error message: Quicktime V 6.5 is installed - iTunes requires Quicktime V7.0 or later.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled from their download package twice now. Any ideas out there?

I had the oitunes version before 8 came out and now that it did I tryied to upgrade it but an error message came up saying "invalid drive e:/" so I went and looked for a solution so I tried uninstalling it and installing it agian but the error message still comes up, so now I'm stuck with no itunes at all. At some point, for your computer, the registry settings for the location of folders, such as "My Music" have been changed to point to a drive E: that is no longer there or maybe was never there.
What you need to do is go into your registry and look for this E: drive.
Unfortunately, there are multiple entries in your registry that can point off into the distance. What I do is go into regedit and just look for "My Music". On my system, which is going to be different because it's Vista 64 bit, the registry keys of interest are:
HKEYCURRENTUSER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders
HKEY_USERS\<long random meaning number that is user specific>\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders
If that doesn't work, look through the registry for E:\. Somewhere you've got a system variable in your registry pointing to a drive that doesn't exist.
Another option is to get a USB thumb drive and map it to E:\ so that you have a drive on E: and then everything should work.

You appear to be able to backup your contacts without iTunes. Google "backup iphone contacts without itunes".
The way to avoid having to get a tech person in is to get past the idea that your problem (which you still haven't defined) is "beyond my ability to fix". ;-)

ITunes won't run - invisible window where iTunes should be, but it never launches.

I'm running Windows Vista 32 (I know, I should upgrade) and over the last few weeks, I noticed that my podcast wasn't downloading new eps. Now, iTunes won't run at all.
I've done a full scan of the PC and there are no viruses found. I'm using Kaspersky.
I've un-installed all Apple apps and rebooted before trying to reload iTunes and it never runs.
Anyone have any idea what might be preventing iTunes from running?
I have a Windows 7 PC on the other desk, connected through the same switch and Cable Modem and iTunes is running fine on it, so it's not network / internet related, as far as I can tell.

Let's just run through the standard procedures for that one again, just to be sure.
first, head into your Add/Remove programs and uninstall your QuickTime. if it goes, good. if it doesn't, we'll just attend to it when we attend to itunes.
next, download and install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. Then use it to clear any existing itunes and/or QuickTime installation configuration information from the PC. (Launch CleanUp, find any iTunes and/or QuickTime entries in the list of programs in CleanUp, and remove those entries.)

next, use the the following document as a guide for manual removal of leftover itunes and quicktime program files:

now try another itunes install. does it go through properly this time?
(If any step of this procedure failed to work, explain to us as best you can what the problem was.)

ITunes won't run at all after updating 10.5

I have recently updated iTunes to 10.5, and now it won't run/open at all. Gives me an error and doesn't even open it at all. I have tried everything apple says to do but nothing has worked so far. Please help me, I really want my iTunes running again! If you need more information/details, please ask. I'd be happy to help you if you're going to help me. :-)

TS3297 updated iTunes won't run on iMac OS X 10.6.8

I have the updated iTunes 11.0.3 and OS X 10.6.8 but now my iMac won't let me open iTunes as it says it is not supported. My Mac is a late 2006 and so, I cannot download OS Mountain Lion (if that is a potential solution), so I don't know how to get iTunes to open now. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I try to update iTunes but get error saying invalid signatures? why can't I update?

I try to install new version iTunes, safari and quick time and can't. I get error saying " invalid signatures". Why will these not install? I have windows xp.

Download iTunes again and then run the install. When his happened to me, the second download and install ran without any problem.

I am unable to update my itunes. It keeps saying F: drive is unavailable. I have never had and F: drive and cannot change this.

I have tried to uninstall itunes to re:install and get the same problem.
I have also tried removing all apple software and when I get to remove itunes I get a message saying that the itunes minibar (toolbar) is not a valid resource.
This is begging to drive me mad as I have not synced my iphone or ipad for several months.
