Itunes won't see ipod. Have tried all available solutions I could find.

I have an Ipod classic. When I hook it to my computer itunes start automatically but the ipod never appears under devices. I have tried all the suggestions I found on the net but nothing helped. Thanks.

Embedded youtube videos do not play. I have tried all available solutions. They played before with no problem.

This problem has been brought up and I tried every possible solution...uninstalled and re-installed...updated, etc. The video shows the opening frame, but when I try to play, I get the same error message "am error occured, please try again later" The video plays fine in IE.
The website with the video does not make any difference. They do not play anywhere using Firefox. Below is one URL example.

HT3983 Since I have downloaded IOS 6. My and my wive's Iphones are giving us a message saying the USB Driver isn't installed. I have tried all the steps I could find on here. Still no luck.

Same note about no USB installed. Have gone through all steps I can find on the community. Both my work and our home PC are affected. Seems to be directly related to downloading IOS 6. As I pull my pics to my PC just before that date without issue.

Can't access localhost - tried all posted solutions I could find!

I'm running an Intel iMac that came installed with Leopard. I set up my localhost server a year or two ago when I was in a different location and then didn't use it for a while. Now I can't seem to access my localhost page!
To start, I've tried a lot of the solutions I've read online.
Here's some info about the setup:
1. PHP is enabled and running
2. Both the /etc/httpd/users/yourusername.conf and /etc/apache2/users/yourusername.conf files are configured to Allow all
3. The Sites directory is configured to Allow all in the etc/apache2/httpd.conf file
4. permissions for my sites folder are set to 777 (read & write for everyone)
5. apache's group is set to www
6. I have set up an alias which is the same as the name of my computer and the root directory is a folder located in the Sites folder
7. The /etc/hosts file is configured for this alias with the IP 127.0.0.1 (localhost)
8. To access the localhost page, I've tried http://computername.local - http://localhost/~user - http://IPaddress and http://IPaddress/~user
I've tried everything and still the localhost page returns a 403 Forbidden page. Anyone know how to fix this problem? Maybe it's something really simple that I'm overlooking? I have changed locations since I last used it and therefore I'm on a different wireless network, but provided by the same service provider and router (don't know if this is important). Please help!

My question was answered. It was a simple solution so I feel very silly. I just had to change permissions for my Users/username folder (since apache needs access to each directory leading up to the localhost root directory). Thanks so much for your help!

I use Mozilla Firefox and have a PC with Windows 7. Obviously, buying a ipod and being unable to use it for 3 days (and counting) because I am unable to register it, is pretty frustrating. Did you try all of this:
iTunes Store loads partially or returns "Error 306" or "Error 10054"
Proxies, parental control settings and software, security or filtering software, or a bad iTunes Store cache can cause this.
To address proxies, Remove Internet Options proxy settings and connect to the Internet without a proxy.
To reset iTunes Store cache:
In iTunes, choose iTunes > Preferences (Mac) or Edit > Preferences (PC).
Click the Advanced tab.
Click the "Reset cache" button.
Click OK and see if the issue is resolved.
Adjust Parental Controls in iTunes:
Open iTunes.
Access iTunes preferences:
On a Mac: From the iTunes menu, choose Preferences.
On a Windows PC: From the Edit menu, choose Preferences.
Click the Parental Controls tab.
Remove restrictions on Parental Controls.

The same story. No 3G after updating to 6.1. Told my daughter temporarily not to do an update on her iPad with 6.01. We've exchanged SIMs. I inserted her SIM in my iPad - 3G appeared immediately. And my SIM in her iPad with ios 6.01 also WORKS FINE. We use the same provider - Megafon Moscow. After attempting to revert SIMs to original configuration, 3G disappeared on my iPad again. Don't know what's going on with SIM during the update to 6.1

Nooo or you would use OS X Recovery Mode: Disk Utilty and then Startup Disk.

It isn't the installation of the Adobe Download Assistant which can cause this problem it is where you select to download the install files too. The Adobe Download Assistant would be installed to your Program Files/Applications folder and install files would be downloaded to your user folder, by default, or your desktop.
Alternately you can intitate a direct download by following the steps listed at http://forums.adobe.com/thread/981369.

Conversion Log ends with "flattening 3gpp files, removing j2k files...An error was encountered in the sqlite database: unable to open database file
conversion log: Conversion Failed.

Log says “unable to convert SQLite db” and then “Conversion failed”. This is before it does anything with specific images. The line right before the above is “gpp files flattened . . .” which I believe are sound files

Flash plugin has crashed and I have tried all the solutions given on the site..never happened before until i updated firefox for the past 1-2 months?

Flash plugin crashes a lot more frequently since I updated it (the past month or so??) I have tried the latest Firefox version 3 and updated it to version 4.
I have tried all the solutions given such as complete uninstalling or changing the integer to -1

I'm not sure anyone here knows more about the Java plugin than you do...
Were you starting the control panel from disk as administrator because it didn't work starting it through the Start menu (if you have Control Panel set to View by Category, the Java control panel is under "Programs").

Upgraded to Firefox4 and all my bookmarks are gone, I have tried all the solutions listed under lost book marks can someone please help me.. I have seen people say they have solved this but never tell how.

As it says above I lost all my bookmarks after upgrading to Firefox 4.
I have tried all the solutions under the Lost Bookmark page and they either do not apply or did not work.
I even found a old backup and imported it and it did not work.
I have seen several people say they have the same problem and have fixed it but never say how.. Please help

I've encountered the same problem; I (reluctantly) upgraded Firefox after years of happily using version 2, and discovered that I should have, apparently, saved my bookmarks before updating.
There is NO "places.sqlite" file anywhere on my hard drive.
Following the procedure at https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Lost+Bookmarks#Restoring_bookmark_backups restores the bookmarks folder saved *today*. . . after Firefox reverted to a *two year old file* and saved it over my existing one. (How do I know it's two years old? It has house search information from before my toddler's birth, that's how.)
There is no bookmarkbackups folder.
Searches across my hard drive for the following files turn up nothing useful:
* bookmarks.bak
* bookmarks.html
* bookmarks.html.moztmp
* bookmarks-(date).html
* bookmarks-(date).json
Oh, there *is* a bookmarks.html file that's larger than the 7/2 one that's been created; it is, however, from a transfer from IE bookmarks dated 2006.
None of the rest exit. Even searching for just the extension of .json turns up nothing.
I really, really want my bookmarks back, and I am not thrilled about this; I trusted Firefox not to screw up on an upgrade, and that's the only reason I didn't make a backup before installing. Silly me.
