ITunes won't see/play music on iPhone
Folks: Tried searching the discussions database before posting this but maybe I'M the only idiot facing this problem...
My iPod crashed, so in the meantime I figured I'd use my iPhone. Hooked it to my computer, recongized it fine, Music, audiobooks seemed to transfer to my iPhone fine (I can see them AND play them through tghe iPhone from my computer in iTunes) BUT -
Anytime I go to my iPhone on its own - disconnected from my computer - and launch iTunes, all I get is Store information. I cannot seem to locate ANYTHING I transferred (and I KNOW is on the phone) using iTunes. If I go to "More" as a control and try to launch "Configure" everything is blacked out and I cannot reconfigure anything. It seems like iTunes on my iPhone won't recognize anything I transferred.

Well, sirprise. Apparently iPhones don't use iTunes to play audio. There's an app called just "Music" that acts like an iTunes app...

Ever since I updated the operating system, itune doesn't play music on iphone 4. If it plays, it plays only one song and gets stuck. I've tried to reconnect to the computer to see whethere there has been missing portion during the upgrade... but not really. does anyone have the same issue?
What does "gets stuck" mean?

Have you tried the basics from the manual? Restart. Reset. Restore. -
Installed latest version of iTunes, now I cannot play music through my Airport Express. I'm seeing the message "An error occurred while connecting to the AirPlay device "living room". The network connection failed..."Living room" is what I named the is what I named The AirPlay function of the Aport Express. Thanks!

iTunes won't see iPhone but sees it in iPhoto. The iTunes doesn't show a "Devices" title in the side window. Any information on how to fix this problem. Would like to start using iCal and sync the iPhone 4s using iTunes (etc.)

While playing music in iphone, the view switches too easily to landscape. All I have to do is rotate the Iphone by what seems like only a few degrees, and it gets stuck in landscape (cover art) view. To get it back in portrait (current track) view, I have to rotate it again. Is there a way to get rid of the landscape view? I hardly ever want to see cover art not related to the current track.

I meant that it barely takes a tilt for it to turn. For example, if I'm wearing it on a belt clip. Is there a way to adjust the sensitivity? -

-thanksIt means taht you're using auto transfer for the iPod. Anything on the iPod is also in iTunes, do you can play it from there.

I'm having the same problem, even more:
- Watching movies over AppleTV: switches off every 20min (sleep mode).
- Listening to iTunes music ofer AirPlay: the same.
- A whole confusion with switching airplay destinations (AppleTV, AirportExpress) over iPhone remote app. Sometimes remote cannot find my library anymore
- Before, I was able to multitask: stream a DVD to AppleTV, using airplay mirroring, and simultaneously stream music from iTunes on the same computer, over the iTunes airplay selector, to loudspeakers connected to AirportExpress. No longer possible.
I've grown a big Apple fan in short time, proudly living what for others is the future (your media stored anyhwere, controlled from anywhere, played anywhere, stop thinking in terms of devices). And, I've learnt to savour the moments when you can look your Microsoft friends deep in the eyes and say: "The big difference with Apple - it just works"...
At the moment, I'm trying not to invite my friends. -

I've bought songs on itunes and they wont play on my iphone because a cloud is showing but wont download the song...frustrated!!! Sometimes I can listen to them and then the next day there's a cloud showing.
On your iPhone tap Settings > iTunes & App Store then make sure Music is switched ON.

My iTunes won't let me connect my iPhone because it says I need an updated iTunes, but when I try to download the new iTunes, it says that my Mac software (10.5.8) is too old. However, there are no software updates available. What can I do?
It depends on what iPhone you have.
If it's an iPhone 4S or earlier, click here.
If it's an iPhone 5, you need to buy a Mac OS X 10.6 DVD, and that requires an Intel Mac with at least 1GB RAM.

I had my iTunes set up to play music through my receiver & speakers upstairs. I have airport with RCA plug ins to my receiver auxiliary jacks. Homesharing is on & everything checks out but it no longer works. Any suggestions? I have no firewall & I have removed Smith clean program to fix this issue. I am running OS 10.8.2
I called AppleCare this morning and Sean helped me out in a huge way. In all of my attempts, I had not done a factory-default reset on the main base station and apparently some sort of endless loop had occurred between those two stations. Sean was very helpful and patient with me, but now the system is working as promised. Moral of this story is if a factory default rest doesn't help on the "problem" base station, try resetting all of the units.

I am trying to sync Go Rock TRMS03SR Bluetooth Portable 3D Surround Speakers with my Airport Express or iTunes So I can play Music in Multiple rooms. I have a WiFi network, my living room speakers are connected directly to Airport Express, so how can I get the wireless bluetooth speakers to play at the same time in my bedroom?
Did you ever get this to work? My guess is that the speakers are out of bluetooth range at that distance.

ITunes won't sync some music videos to iPhone?
Hey gang-
I have lots of iTunes purchased music videos in iTunes that I also sync and enjoy on my iPhone 3gs. But I also have some music videos that I made myself from video I shot. They display and play fine in iTunes on my Mac.
But the weird thing is the ones I made will NOT sync to my iPhone. Now- I recall learning something about this a few years ago. I seem to recall iPod and iPhone are much more "fussy" than Desktop iTunes about what they consider to be a Music Video. Something to do with Metatags, but it was very specific about which ones?
Here's what I do know:
1) Both my types of music videos appear in the Music Videos Smart playlist in iTunes on my Mac.
2) When I Get Info, both types of Music Videos show Media Kind of "Music Video" on the Options tab.
3) Both play Audio and Video perfectly in iTunes on my Desktop Mac
4) But the ones I made will NOT sync to my iPhone, even though the playlist they are in is selected and "Include Music Videos" is selected in the iTunes Sync Music tab.
Can anyone remember what the "magic" is to getting iPhone to get on the same page with iTunes on Music Videos? Running iTunes 10.2.1 and Snow Leopard 10.6.6 and iOS 4.2.1 on iPhone 3gs

When I sync music from iTunes to iPhone, the music shows a dotted circle in iTunes and doesn't show or play on my iPhone music app.
any ideas how to resolve this?after looking at a few other posts, i tried the uncheck the sync box, did a sync, rechecked the box, and synced again. the music is now downloading into my phone. if anyone else has this problem try this first.
