Itunes won't sync music to my Iphone 5C

Okay so I've been reading what everyone has said to do when itunes won't sync to your phone and I've tried EVERYTHING!!! My phone still isn't syncing. I have a Toshiba laptop which has windows 8 & I don't know what else to do. Please someone help me. I'm starting to get ****** off because everyone else has figured out a way to get it to work but I can't. My computer recognizes my phone but itunes doesn't. Any suggestions?!

I know that most of these posts were put up a little while ago
But.
I too had a similar problem - my thoughts were:
Something to do with update to IOS 7.4
Corruption
Itunes software issue
After a LOT of research, I found a simple step that solved this issue for me.
I had been running my sync (pre - IOS 7.4) as automatic - see the options section under the summary tab
I changed my selection to manually manage music and videos and tried another sync
Wha La!
It began to copy over 700 songs that had not properly synced to my Ipad 2
BONUS: it then started to sync my videos again.
Hope this helps somebody.
It certainly made my life less frustrating
Downside: I have to MANUALLY manage - but it's better than all the hassles
NB: I don't know why this error occurs and I'm not sure this fix will work for everyone's issues but it can't hurt.

  • My iTunes won't sync music to my iphone 4

My iTunes won't sync music on to my iPhone 4. It syncs music on to my ipod 3rd gen, but not my iPhone. All my software is up to date, and all my settings are correct, but nothing seems to work. I've tried, turning my phone off and on, restoring my phone, restarting my computer, unchecking and checking my music, and nothing seems to work. I only have one playist with all the songs I want onto my iPhone, because my whole iTunes library doesnt fit onto it. Another note, it was working perfectly fine yesterday and this morning. But earlier today, my music only showed 3 artists, 2 albums, and 622 songs (which is how much I should have on there), and I tried re-syncing my iPhone, and now there's no music on there at all. Please help, music is the main thing I use my phone for, and its gonna make me go crazy if I dont fix this.

  • My iTunes won't sync music to my iPhone

Ever since I updated my Macbook to OS X Mavericks, my iTunes will not sync my downloaded music onto my iPhone 5. When I plug my iPhone in with the cable and sync, it does steps 1 and 2 in the sync process, skips 3-5, and then just finishes with step 6. If I create playlists and download music from my phone, it all transfers to my Mac, but if I download music and create playlists from my Mac, it won't show up on my phone. If I turn on Home Sharing, everything shows up, but I don't really want to have that on all the time and I still want to be able to listen to all my music while I'm traveling. I have plenty of space on my iPhone so I know that is not the problem. I was hoping it was a glitch in the Mavericks software and the updates would fix it, but I've had no luck so far. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks in advance!

    Dear smart people at Apple
I've worked out why my songs wouldn't download, you'd moved it all to iCloud. In the process, losing over 300 songs. Now I know I had a fair amount of illegal downloads in my itunes but who gave you permission to go in there and delete them? not really on that is it? plus you've deleted songs that i'd put on from CD! what's all that about? I actually went through the effort of buying a CD (a very old fashioned way these days, you probably send songs via thought waves at head office) which i've paid for and since that time got rid of the CD thinking my songs would be safe. You don't know how cross I am.
    Queen collection - gone
    Stone Roses - gone
U2 - gone (mostly for the best)
S Club 7 - gone (definitely bought that)
Come on chaps, fancy giving me my music back, that I partially paid for?
Thanks, a ****** off iPhone and Itunes customer.
Oh by the why whilst I'm here, i'm on my 2nd iPhone 5 as the first was faulty from the start as the 'genius' who designed it, and the moron who manufactured it forgot to put the glue on the back of the battery. Therefore instead of iPhone I bought an iRattle. Sort it out man. You used to be great, and now, well I just don't know.

  • ITunes won't sync music to my iphone.

A little context. I've always shared an itunes account with my cousin and all our songs would be the same. But to make this possible i would have to meet him and sync my iphone on his computer. But i have my own computer now with alot of different songs and would like to sync the new songs and get rid of all the old songs on my phone.
Whenever i hit the "sync" button it makes a little notification button but does nothing. It also greys out and when i uncheck "sync music" and hit "apply" still nothing happens. Also when i hit "back up now" nothing happens aswell. Therefor since im not very tech savvy i dont wanna risk restoring my phone and potentially screwing everything up and deleting it all. I can't manually drag songs into the "on this iphone" option either. Any advice would be much apprieciated.

iOS devices sync with one and only one computer.
Attempts to sync to a different computer will remove all the media on the iOS device and replace it with media from the new computer/library.

  • I just updated my iTunes to 11.1.3 and now it won't sync music to my iPhone 4... Help please!!

I just updated my iTunes to 11.1.3 and now it won't sync music to my iPhone 4... Help please!!
I have switch the setting on my iPhone to manually manage music and back and it still won't sync the new music

    cutwright 93,
I have a 4s, and I've had that problem, too. I've tried every method mentioned on the boards. If Ellips's suggestion didn't work, try this, and please let me know if it worked:
(I did the following while the phone was connected to my pc...if that makes a difference.)
    1. On the phone, go to Music.
    2. Click "More."
    3. Click "Shared."
    4. My phone lists "iPhone" and my iTunes Libary. Try clicking the name of your music library.
    5. Wait until the circle makes its loop.
The synch still failed to complete, but all of my music was on my iPhone, again. Whew.

  • My itunes won't put music onto my iphone, i'll click and drag it to my phone but it won't take it. how do i fix that

My itunes won't put music onto my iphone, i'll click and drag to my phone but it won't take it. How do I fix that?
    Please help me out...

You can only do that if you switch manually manage ON.
Connect iPhone to iTunes, select iPhone in iTunes left panel, go to Summary tab and switch Manually manage music and videos to ON.

  • ITunes won't sync music

I have an iphone 4 and I have never had this problem until today.  Itunes will not sync music.  My iphone has songs in the music app but when they are clicked on they will not play anything.  There seems to be no file there to play.  In Itunes on my computer, I click on my Iphone under devices and go to the music.  It shows the music that I have but to the left of each song is the syncing icon.  What can I do?

    Hi,
I also got this problem earlier today (iPhone 4). I tried the fix mentioned in this blog (I know it is for IOS 4.2.1 ... but I was desperate):
    http://blog.chron.com/techblog/2010/11/is-your-iphones-music-gone-after-updating -to-ios-4-2-1-heres-a-fix/
    As the blog mentioned:
    • Connect your iPhone to your computer and launch iTunes on the computer.
    • The phone appears under devices in the left-hand column; click the arrow to the left of it so your media categories appear and select music.
    • Play a song on the iPhone via iTunes on your computer.
    • Sync the iPhone again
    • Re-open the iPod app on the iPhone
The thing I did differently was that I picked a song where the "Last Played" field was blank. Make sure to play the song til the end. I did a sync again then (lo and behold) my songs (magically) appeared in the Music app.
Hope this helps someone out there.

  • Itunes won't sync music to iphone 5

I've just upgraded to the iphone 5 32gb from 16gb and having a few issues with syncing music.  My  iphone 5 (16gb), I passed on to my mother as I wanted a 32gb, but I'm using the same apple id for both phones. I used restore from icloud to set up the phone initially.  All my apps and books sync, but music will not sync no matter what I do. I've tried resetting the phone, it made no difference. I've tried erasing the phone and setting up from itunes, instead of icloud and it made no difference.  The music appears in itunes as greyed out with a stationary cycle to the left of the music titles.  I'm hoping someone can help me here or my only alternative is to take the phone back to the shop and get a replacement.

OK,  in a final attempt I finally managed to get it working!  I did this by erasing the phone again and setting up as a new phone and then syncing with itunes.

  • ITunes won't sync music to iPhone

I have been trying for 5 days to sync music to my iPhone 4 6.1.3 I have tried ticking all of the different boxes. I have made sure "Sync Music" is ticked. When I press apply it comes up with 4 steps and then says syncing finished. But it doesn't actually copy the music. I have uninstalled itunes, reinstalled it, restarted my phone, turned the wifi off and nothing seems to be working.I don't think the problem is with my iTunes because it syncs absolutely fine to my iPad. I'm running out of ideas. I was thinking of resetting my iPhone but I don't want to lose my app history because it might not work. I don't really know what to do. Please help.

i have the same problem, please some help

  • Itunes won't sync music to my iPhone5!!

I just updated to OSX Mavericks and I have the latest update for iTunes, but when i sync my phone to my macbook pro and try to put my music on it, nothing happens. When it gets to part 4 or 5 (whichever one is the part where the music get's sync'd) it just skips over it and finishes. I have been stuck for so long, I have tried looking at support sites etc... but nothing is working. I tried downloading songs from itunes, and from the internet and nothing will sync. Advice would be greatly appreciated!! i am so frustrated, i have tried syncing over wifi and thru the cord but it doesn't make a difference. it's like this happened out of nowhere. thanks in advance!

''I was experiencing the same problem and tried all sorts of stuff, including items in this thread with no luck, this is what ultimately worked for me.
    1.  Download iFunBox (or other utility that gives you access to the filesystem)
    2.  Delete the _iTunes_Control folder
    3.  Delete everything in the Purchases folder
    4.  Force a sync in itunes
    5.  Profit.
So far I haven't seen any weird problems, other than my songs now sync.''

  • ITunes won't sync music to my iPad

iTunes won't transfer all the music from my computer to my iPad. The sync starts, it transfers about 500 of 2500 songs, then just stops.
I have tried disconnecting wifi, reinitialising the iPad and practically every other tip I could find on this forum: no joy.
Just seems incredible that the music I have (mostly) paid for on iTunes won't sync from one device to another. Are Apple trying to get me to pay for iTunes Match?!
Thanks in advance for your help...

I don't use and never have usediTunes Match, I almost never buy music from iTunes, and I can sync all of music just fine - purchase and imported from CD's.
Have you tried syncing with the cable if you are using WiFi? Do you have enough storage space on the iPad? Could it be that the sync stops in the same place very time indication a corrupt song or album? Have you tried syncing the music in bits and pieces - simply as a troubleshooting step?

  • ITUNES WON'T SYNC MUSIC ONTO MY IPOD!!!!!!

k, so a while ago, i was messing around with realplayer, and noticed that i could make it the program to put music on my ipod(i already have itunes) and now, itunes won't put music on my ipod, i press sync and it shows up for a second then says complete, i check my ipod and the new songs aren't on it, and realplayer screwed up so i uninstalled that thinking itunes would then become the main source of putting music on my ipod, so does anyone know how to make itunes the main program for music syncing on my ipod?

So you have 1550 songs in your iTunes library on your dad's computer, but only 130 synced to the device and only 22 (the purchased songs) will actually play on the device?  Is that correct?
How is your iPod configured to sync music from your iTunes library on your dad's PC?  In other words, what options do you have enabled from under the iPod's Summary and Music configuration tabs in iTunes?

  • ITunes won't sync music to iPhone 6 Plus

On my old 5S 32GB I had iTunes Match turned on.
I just got a 64GB 6 Plus, set up by restoring from my 5S iCloud backup. Since I now have 64GB of space, I decided to have all my music locally again, so I turned off iTunes Match.
I plugged my 6 Plus into my Mac and told iTunes to Sync All Music. I have about 20GB (3600 songs) of music, and I set iTunes to convert it to 128kbps when syncing, so I expected it to take a while. The blue bar at the bottom (Audio) indeed showed I'd now have 20GB of Audio on my iPhone.
However, the sync went really quickly, and when I checked my 6 Plus, there was no music on it.
I plugged it back in, and the blue bar had gone (i.e. saying there was no audio on the phone).
I restarted Mac and iPhone, tried again. This time it seemed to be taking ages to sync, so I went to bed and left it. I got up this morning and sync had finished. I checked my phone, and all my albums are there, but there's no artwork, every song is greyed out, and has a Stop button next to it.
    Any idea what's going on?
iPhone 6 Plus running 8.0, Mac Mini running latest OS X 10.9.5 and latest iTunes 11.4. Note that iTunes Match is not, and never has been, enabled on the Mac Mini.

I am having the same issue. My new iPhone 6 plus, with iTunes Match, will not sync with my macbook pro. I keep getting a message stating the sync failed due to some songs not authorized for my computer. All of the songs were purchased under my account. So it won't sync. I need to sync my tones to my phone and I can't. I am up to date on all software updates for both.
Did you find an answer to your problem? Has anyone else had this issue?

  • ITunes won't sync music video to my iPhone 3G

I purchased a music video from the iTunes store and it won't sync to my iPhone. What gives?

One thing that might help out.
When your iphone is connected, on the summary screen, is the iphone set to sync automatically?
If not, you might need to drag and drop your music videos to the iphone.
If it is set to sync automatically, then go to the music tab and make sure the box is checked to sync music videos.
If it is, try right clicking(control click) on the iphone on the left of itunes under devices and reset warnings.
Now try to sync again and see if any error messages come up.
    Hope this helps.

  • ITunes won't sync music to iPhone 4

I bought a new laptop a few months ago, and installed iTunes. I moved all my music from my old laptop on to my new one, yet my iPhone 4 will not sync to it. I am not able to simply drag tracks across from my library and onto my iPhone, but instead have to create a playlist and autofill them, which means I can't delete or edit song information once i have put them on. This also meant i lost all my music when updating to iOS 5, and whilst I have got some of it back, I still have to autofill songs. If anyone knows how I can get back to being able to sync music like i could on my old laptop, please tell me, even if it involves resetting my phone/iTunes.
