Itunes won't sync my new songs into my iphone 4s

I would like to know why one of the last itunes updates won't let me sync music into my iphone 4, instead it added music I don't want and I looked for these songs on my itunes library so I could delete them hoping this would this would fix the problem and they're not even in my itunes library. I find this strange since when my iphone wouldn't sync these songs that I did want and added songs I didn't I tried to sync my ipad and everything went well. Also, when I want to play a certain song on my iphone it goes to another one that I don't want and plays that one. I want to know how to fix all these problems, thank you.

I was having the same issue and it was extremely frustrating for me. I tried everything short of restoring to an earlier backup, but what worked best for me was plugging in my phone and looking at summary>options> and clicking convert higher bit rate songs to 128 kbps. It worked for me, although I'll be the first to admit that I don't know why. I have about 2,900 songs in my library, so it did take an hour and a half for all of the songs to convert and then sync in their new forms, but I was so relieved to have the issue taken care of that I really didn't mind. I have a couple of suggestions for you to attempt to resolve this issue. First, I would try re-creating your iTunes library following the instructions listed here:

You may also need to simply try restarting your phone and attempting to sync again after a restart. Information on completing this can be found here:

Restored 4th Gen Ipod, now itunes won't sync all my songs, what to do?

I was having trouble with my ipod, so I restored. Now all the songs on my itunes won't sync down to my pod. It took like 20 songs out of 2000. How do I fix this?

It comes up with a 1428 error message sometimes, and sometimes it says that I have to restore my iPod. I have restored it many times, but it just keeps going in a circle and will not sync my songs back to the iPod.
hmmmm. if you're relentlessly getting a recovery mode message, then you might be having a Windows drive letter confusion. see the following document for troubleshooting suggestions with that:

iTunes won't sync all of the music, it is skipping random songs, they still come up on the Music on the phone but cannot be played.. If anyone knows how to fix this please help.

Was this music purchased from iTunes or ripped? I have had problems in the past when I changed Apple IDs, and the content purchased through my previous account would not sync. If memory serves, I think it was an issue to do with the Mac not being authorised to access my old account. Signing in with my old account and authorising it resolved it. Not sure if this helps, but thought I would share.

Itunes won't sync all the songs

My Iphone 4s simply could not sync all songs in my album. Itunes could make it look like it synced all of them to the phone while in reality only 70% of the songs are playable, the non-playale ones are going to be in grey and you couldn't even click onto them. When I plugged the phone into my Itunes again, it showed the same thing. So I tried to sync it, only to find that it would not carry any "grey songs" over. If you hit sync, it would sync the first 2 songs, then it would AUTOMATICALLY say sync cancelled. And in the end no songs have been synced at all, my phone is still without the remaining 30% of the songs.
There are absolutely no songs I could get over that are marked grey. Any of you have been through this before? Is there a solution to "reactivate" the grey songs? They're perfectly playable on my computer, just that I can't get it onto my phone.
I have had problems with Itunes before and I hope this incident won't add to the hate I have for this software.

mine is doing the same thing other than Itunes saying it can't read the format. I can't play 90% of my music. I took it to an apple store the other day an they told me only purchased music will work. Not even a music upload from a CD. Which to me is a load of ....because my wife has all the songs on her iphone that are greyed out on mine and they work on hers

My iTunes will not sync any new songs that I've put in onto my phone.

My iphone 5s hasn't been backed up to my Icloud because my Icloud doesn't have enough space BUT I don't see how that correlates to Itunes not syncing my new music onto my phone. I have around 8 GB left on my phone so there shouldn't be a problem. Even when it says that it has synced, I'll go onto my music on my phone and it won't have those songs in the recently added playlist or on my phone at all.

Itunes does not sync 128 kbps songs to my iphone

I have tried both manual and automatic sync. All Other bitrates work fine, the songs also play fine in iTunes. They have also been working fine on my iphone until recently, but they suddenly vanished and will not resync.

OK. I managed to fix this. That's what I did:
1. In Finder, make copy the audio files that won't synchronize.
2. Rename the files e.g. appending a "2" at the end of the name.
3. Import the files in iTunes (drag and drop from Finder into iTunes' Library)
4. Rename the album in iTunes (e.g. also append a "2" at the end of the album's name)
5. Put the new files in a Playlist and synchronize
After that I removed the original files and changed the names back so that the copy is like the original was before.
I suppose the important thing is to make iTunes "think" that those are new files. Note that I did remove the files from iTunes and add them back without renaming or copying and it did not work. I supposse that the copying and/or renaming is important.

Are you sure you have a 2G iPod? See:

A 2G can go to iOS 4.2.1 via iTunes directly if you have iTunes 10.X on your computer.
A 1G can go to 2.2 via iTunes amd 3.1.3 via the link proved already in this discussion.

This may indicate a hardware issue with your device. Follow Troubleshooting security software issues, and restore your device on a different known-good computer. If the errors persist on another computer, the device may need service.

My iTunes won't sync all my songs with my iPod

I'm using auto sync, just like I always have, and the box is checked to sync all songs with the iPod. If you check the bar at the bottom of the sync page, it *thinks* all 5000+ songs are on the iPod, and there's plenty of room left. But when you play one of the songs on the iPod, it says playing 1 of 800. Some of my songs are unchecked to not sync, but we're talking 100 max. So how do I get the missing 4,100 songs to copy??
The iPod is an iPod touch with iOS 5.1.1; Mac is using OS 10.9.1; iTunes version 11.1.3.

Have you tried performing a restore on the iPod?

ITunes won't show my new AppleID on my iPhone

My eMail address has changed and my old one no longer works. I have updated my AppleID but iTunes asks me to log in with my old eMail address and won't accept my old password or my new Apple ID one. I don't have Find My Phone on and never have. The problem predates my upgrade to iOS7 this evening. Any suggestions?

The iphone is not storage/backup device.
The sync is one way - computer to iphone.
The only exception is itunes purchases. File>Devices>Transfer Purchases
You should copy everything from your old computer, or your backup copy of your old computer, to your new one.
