Itunes wont connect to itunes/computer
Upgraded to ios 7 for the first time a couple of days ago, more specifically 7.0.4. When I tried connecting it to my computer, my ipad gave me a message asking me to either trust or not trust the computer, no matter which one I choose it leads to the computer making a sound that means a device has been disconnected but it is still listed under devices as 'Apple iPad'. It does not open in itunes at all.
I'm using the cable that came with the ipad. I've tried; every USB port on my computer, restarting the computer, powering down the iPad and turning it back on again, reseting the iPad's settings, running repair on Apple Mobile Device Support, updating iTunes, reinstalling iTunes, checked the cable(works with my ipod classic), using my other cable that came with my ipod and I tried going into 'Devices and Printers' to update the drivers. When I tried updating the drivers I went to 'Apple iPad' and went to the properties, I was unable to update the drivers as there was no option to do so. Strangely the manufacturer and model number were unavaliable, the only info in the properties was that the device model was an iPad.
Running Windows 8.1 and ios 7.0.4 (on a third generation iPad)
I'm out of ideas, any help would be VERY appreciated.

My ipod wont connect to the computer but will connect to an ipod stereo
I have a 2nd generation nano that I have had for 2 years, but not used very much. It has always worked fine and still does however it wont connect to the computer at all. I have tried different ipod usb cables and different computers. It will charge and play on an ipod stereo. I would like to be able to hook it up to the computer so I can put more music on it. Has anyone had this problem before?
Update to the newest version of iTunes if that doesn't work
Try uninstalling the drivers,
Plug in your iPod
Right click on My Computer and click on Manage
that will bring you to the Computer Management
On the left hand side click on device manager
on the right side click on the plus sign next to Universal Serial Bus Controllers
it will show a list, in that list locate iPod or USB mass storage device
right click and select uninstall
Unplug your iPod and plug it back in
Windows should automatically start installing them again
if nothing pops up then right click on Universal Serial Bus Controllers
and choose scan for hardware changes -

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

For how to restore:
iTunes: Restoring iOS software
To restore from backup see:
iOS: How to back up
If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

Hi wiilson Cunha,
Oh man! That definitely sounds frustrating. Let’s see if we can troubleshoot this issue by following the steps in this resource:
If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch doesn't respond or doesn't turn on - Apple Support
http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201412
If your device gets stuck during startup
When starting up, you might see the Apple logo or a red or blue screen for a long time, or your device might restart again. Try these steps:
Make sure that you have iTunes 12 or later on your computer.
Put your device in recovery mode.
When you get the option to restore or update, select Update. This will reinstall iOS without erasing your data.

My iPod classic wont connect to the computer. The light comes on but it doesn't even come up with 'connected' screen on the ipod. Have tried different computers, usb cables and ports, as well as restarting computer, updating itunes, and rebooting ipod. Still works in Logitech iPod player, however it has just wiped itself of all songs so at the moment I'm stuck with a useless iPod. Any suggestions please???
If you happen to have a USB docking cable that is new (or close to being new), try using that one. If the cause is the dock connector on the iPod becoming worn, if you try it with a cable that is not worn, it's possible that it may connect for data.
I believe the dock connector is internally part of the logic board, so it may not be economical to have a repair shop (including Apple Store Genius Bar) do the repair. You'll need to ask for pricing.
If you are good at such things, this web site has DIY repair guides

If it's the most recent iPod classic, it appears to be quite difficult to pry open. I have an older 4th gen (and 3rd gen) "classic" iPod, and those are fairly eash to pry open, using the plastic tools. -
I just replaced my iPod 5th gen. a week ago, and it was working fine, but when I went to go turn the screen on, it wouldn't turn on. I've tried to put it on the charger and it wouldn't charge and it wont connect to my computer, how do i fix this? I tried to reset the iPod, by pressing the home and power button but nothing works. It's literally a brand new iPod, I dont know what to do now. Help?
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

i have recently moved house and changed internet provider. i have had trouble getting my imac to stay connected to the wifi but this problem has now been solved after a lot of tech support from apple. however my apple tv still wont talk to my computer and itunes account. when i hit the computer icon on apple tv it comes up with "could not connect to J.... B..... library" "make sure the computer is on the same network as your apple tv, the itunes version is up to date, and itunes is running" all of this is correct and i have tried resetting, restoring, reloading, deleting the account and adding again, restarting the modem and all of the same on the imac. still cant get it to work.

Needs to be restored, but it wont connected to the computer.
I have a 5th gen iPod classic that I bought off Amazon. A few days ago, when I plugged it into my computer, it told me it needed to be restored. So I went throught the prosses, and when it finihed putting all my music back on, I disconnected it. When I was choosing a playlist, I realized they were incomplete, so I hooked it back up to the computer to add them, but it wouldn't show up. My ipod then showed me the whole "you're ipod needs to be restored, use Itunes to restore it" blah blah.
So, my ipod is stuck in disk mode, I can't use it. It wont connect to my iTunes so I can restore it. I've tries updating iTunes, reinstalling itunes, resetting the ipod and non of it works.I assume you are running the latest version of iTunes and have all the latest Windows updates and patches applied to your system?
Sounds like the iPod's filesystem is corrupted. Can you try connecting the iPod to another Mac or PC and restoring it again on there?
