Itunes wont give it all
ive purchased an album and in my account it has says i have paid for the full album. However, last night my disk got full and it only downloaded 4 of the songs, i have freed space and it should fit now, but how do i claim all the other songs on the album i have paid for!

If it only downloaded 4 songs, and then stoped downloading, the rest of the songs should be in a (What I personally call) a "Download Basket" on apples site. To get the rest of the downloads in iTUnes goto the top and hit Advanced then "Check for purchases" it should then start downloading all the songs that did not finish. If you go there and a download does not start you may have to email the music store here http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/musicstore/download/ (Also check out some of the articals and links at this page)
You may want to invest in a cheap external harddrive that connects to a PC thru a USB port. Here in the US atleast you can get them for about 60 to 100 bucks depending on its size. You can use it to store your music on AND to create backups of pretty much anything you wish, documents, pictures ect ect

Does iTunes.exe persist in the task manager or disappear again quickly. This can be a clue to the cause of the problem.
If iTunes persists this points to either firewall blocking or a damaged configuration file.
Try briefly turning off your firewall to see if iTunes will launch. Otherwise the link I will give at the end tells you how to delete the configuration file.
If iTunes doesn't appear or appears briefly and then disappears this may be a digital signing issue, also dealt with in the link.
It is a good idea to scan your PC for viruses and spyware, as malware can cause problems.

If the things I suggested above don't wiork, try working through the whole article.
All this is on the assumption that your Quicktime is working normally. I am a bit worried that you have been installing and uninstalling different versions, it just complicates the issue. -

Can you start QuickTime on your computer?
You'll probably have to search for the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility and use it to remove QuickTime Player and iTunes. Then download and install the iTunes again. -
ITunes wont open at all since incomplete update
Tried to install latest update and rec'd an error code. Ever since then (2 days ago) itunes wont open at all. I tried to install again via the Apple website.. Still wont open. Should I uninstall and reinstall? Will my library remain stored?
Try the following:
1. Go to Microsoft website to fix install and Unistall problems. Click "Run now" from Fix it to remove all iTunes & related installer files:

Follow the instructions from Apple article listed here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923 to remove all components
3. Reboot your computer. Next, download iTunes from here:http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ and install from scratch -

Interesting. I think an iTunes version 10.5.x ought to be able to launch without having a QuickTime.qts on the system. So the problem report might be lying to us in this instance.

Yes I'm aware of that. The procedures are also for trying in cases where iTunes can't be reinstalled due to a "Could not start Apple Mobile Device service" message.
If you're getting a different error message relating to the Apple Mobile Device Service (or Apple Mobile Device Support) when you try to reinstall iTunes, post back to let us know what that error message says. (Precise text, please.) -

it was a little hard to read your post due to your grammar, but I need some more info on you in order to help.
First off, I need to know which Windows OS you are running? What antivirus and firewall programs are you running? Is iTunes and/or Quicktime installed on your PC?
Have you gone to Windows Website to download and install any new updates recently?

Itunes wont back up all the music on my iphone4 only purchased
I have purchased music on my phone4. I also have music that was on my old CD collection which I ripped and imported into my itunes library on my computer. So my iphone now has purchased music from itunes store as well as my old music collection ripped and converted to itunes format.
I got a new computer and authorized it on itunes. I also have icloud service set up. When I attempt to back up my iphone it only backs up my purchased from itunes music but not all my other owned music not purchased on itunes. The songs are there on my iphone and play fine, just wont back up.
I found a downloadable software for $29 that claims it will asssit me in transferring my iphone content but seems like I should not have to purhcase software just to back up my iphone.

Your best bet is to have access to the old computer to transfer the music to your new computer, the article below will assist with that.

what is the deal. surely you can test your own software before rolling it out..
I have a 2.16ghz Macbook pro, osx 10.4.7 and its a reasonably vanilla install.
nothing out of the ordinary.
So why is it that Itunes wont play a single file. it just sits there, looking like its paused, but when in reality its not. I can drag the playhead thru the track, but nothing happens.. it just wont start playing.
I have tried removing the library file and rebuilding it, i have tried repairing permissions.
this is lame. lift your game.First, get rid of any offending third party software. That is the most frequent cause of problems with iTunes updates.

I have an iphone 4s and I just downloaded itunes on my hp with windows and the new itunes doesnt give me an option to sync my mnusic library onto my computer from my iphone. ive tried restarting it and unplugging it and they dont give me any options!
iTunes will only transfer music purchased from the iTunes store from your phone to your iTunes library. To do that, authorize your computer for the Apple ID(s) used to purchase the music in Store>Authorize This Computer, then connect your phone to your computer, open iTunes and go to File>Devices>Transfer Purchases.
Music from other sources on your phone (such as from ripped CDs) must be extracted from your phone using 3rd party software such as Touch Copy (PC or Mac) or PhoneView (Mac only).
If your iTunes library is still on your old computer, the best solution is to copy the entire iTunes folder (not just the music folder) from your old computer to your new one, as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4527. -
