I just bought a new laptop that came with itunes already installed .... it loaded fine the first time but ever since I clicked yes to upgrade it won't load. initially it said that there were files missing so i have restored the pc, tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times , now it comes up with a window saying itunes has encountered an error and needs to close....

what u did is right, quicktime is what disrupts the loading of the iTunes, u shouldnt have anymore problems, although a few new computers are having problems with iTunes.. Hp, Dell, Packard bell comes with a warning about itunes compatability...

Going absoluteily crazy here.. I have anew Asus laptop (64bit) Windows 7 and it will not install Itunes.. I'm using Firefox and the file downloads from the apple site but when going to install it says Security warning, Publisher could not be verified.. That is not necessarily true. You are allowed to make a back-up of media you own and, at least in the Netherlands, even a copy of a work you've borrowed from a library. The law expressly permits this and you pay a certain amount for recordable media to allow for home use. See http://www.thuiskopie.nl/nl for this. If you then decide to destroy the media, i.e. do not transfer the media to someone else, I don't see how you infringe copyright by keeping the back-up. But I guess some so-called creatives like the idea of making money in all kinds of hypothetical ways...
It is a nice dream, where you have to work once and then earn a lot of money by selling millions of copies from your work. But buyers can make copies too!! Hahahahahaha!

when you buy stuff it's connected to the appleID not the computer
nor the appletv which have no storage so there is no option to get it from the atv

Ive download itunes four times, and quicktime three times.
I have no idea what to do.

Even though you're getting a different error message, try heading into the iTunes compatibility tab, as per the following document. (Make sure that none of the boxes in there are checked ... having any box in there checked, not just the compatibility mode box itself, can cause problems.)

Could you please let me know if you are using the latest version of Adobe Reader i.e. 11.0.10
What OS version are you using?
Have you opened the file on the web or within Reader itself?
You might close the file, launch Reader and go to Edit> Preferences> Security(Enhanced) and uncheck 'Enable Protected Mode at startup' option.
Let me know if this sorts your problem.

My itunes music library is on an external NAS, my laptop has died, so I have bought a new one. Do I just install itunes 9 on the new laptop and point it as the NAS? Will it then find all my music ok?
