ITunes wont redeem my code, nor will it tell me it's invalid.
Hi guys,
I bought a $25 dollar iTunes gift card today, and when I try to redeem it, nothing happens. I still have the same amount of money in my account. I click the "redeem" button/tab and at the top it says "Accessing iTunes Store" and nothing happens, or else I'll click "redeem" and no "Accessing iTunes Store" message appears at the top of the window. I don't get any "invalid code" messages either.
Any help?
If iPhone music is not on iTunes Library, you need a 3rd party tool to help you

When i try to download the new version of itunes my computer says it cannot download and tells me to click the download only option. When i do this it then tells me the download has been stopped due to an invalid signature.
How can i fix this?That one suggests the installer has gotten damaged during the download.
I'd first try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:

If you use Firefox instead of IE for the download (or vice versa), do you get a working installer? -
I have purchased a £15 itunes voucher redeemed it but it will not let me purchase anything with it
i purchased the voucher from a tesco store and redeemed it no problem
i cannot purchase anything with it as it keeps asking for bank details
i phoned apple support and they told me to go to a store.
i went into an apple store and was told they couldnt help me unless i made an appointment with the genius bar, so i simply told the guy what the problem was and he simply told me i had to phone apple support. so i re contacted the support 08000 number but they gave me a 0844 number which i refuse to call because it will cost me more than £15 to get my problem solved
i am absolutely outraged that apple has stopped live chat as matters like this were always resolved so easily and were alot less stressful
i am easily stressed and with heart problems this does not help my condition at all
i will not forget it as i refuse to curl over and allow a multi million pound company steal £15 from me and demand me to pay more money by phoning them to resolve a issue that is not my faultYour issue is with the iTunes Store, and they have no phone support nor live chat and to my knowledge never have. The Genius Bar and Apple technical support cannot help with iTunes Store issues. Go here:

a few questions before proceeding.
are you getting an error message? if so, what does it say? include error message numbers if you're getting any.
or are you getting no error messages whatsoever when you try to launch itunes?
if you're getting no error messages whatsoever, do you just see the wee hourglass for a few seconds, and then nothing? if so, do you also have Norton Internet Security 2005 installed on that PC?
or are you seeing a brief "flash" of the itunes license screen (and then nothing)? if so, do you also see similar behavior when you try to launch your QuickTime?

I have a Macpro Book and I just downloaded new software to my ipod touch(3rd gen). Now it does not show up in itunes nor does it turn on. I believe it just downloaded the software and never updated it. What do I do?
You appear to have a second generation iPod touch, not a third, and those can't be updated past 4.2.1. Apple sold 8GB second generation models at the same time as the third generation ones.

Itunes wont read my iphone but will read my ipod nano?
Neither me or my wife can get our iphones to show up on Itunes, but my ipod nano shows up just fine. I went through all of the troubleshooting process and still nothing. Can someone help, i have a 3gs and my wife a 3g.
I'm having the same problem. My iPod Classic syncs up with iTunes and charges fine, but when I plug in my wife's iPhone 3G (may be 3GS) it doesn't do anything; it doesn't charge, it doesn't mount, it doesn't show up anywhere. There's no response to either my iMac or her iPhone, as if it isn't plugged in at all.
I've tried different cords, different ports, restarted the computer, restarted the phone... ugh...
I'm using iTunes 10.4.1, Mac OS 10.6.8... I've gone through the Troubleshooting Assistant at http://www.apple.com/support/iphone/assistant/itunes/
The iPhone is charged... never had a problem before; synced it previously with no issues. -
I have an ipod touch that was set up on this computer. There are other ipods hooked up on this one, but this one won't work. it hasn't had an update in a while, and it won't let me update it because it won't connect to itunes, or show up on the computer. There is no place that says there is a software update on the ipod. I was wondering how to get it updated or at least get it connected to itunes?

ITunes update wouldn't update nor will it reinstall
I attempted to update my iTunes. The update didn't take. I tried to repair it several times, no luck. I uninstalled iTunes on my computer, tried to reinstall. No luck. Get getting stuck on the following message: "Service "Apple Mobile Device" (Apple Mobile Device) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start systems services."
Not sure what any of that means. Please help!!!!The phone app seemed to work fine and i was able to make calls. Home just always sent me to favorites and it wouldn't sleep. I'd left my power cords at work, so it basically drained the battery all the way down and then when i plugged it in today, it seems to work fine (it started with the apple logo, so i assume it was reset). This is only the eighth day i've owned it, so i'm a little frustrated. It is 2.1 (it was 2.0 for one nightmarish day).
I'm worried that it's going to start doing it more often, or, like Siedneck's phone, just not come back to life at all.
One other point: i had to force quit the photo downloader earlier in the day while the phone was connected; i wonder if that had to do with it's erratic behavior...?

I'm having similar problems, but Katrina S's suggestion didn't work for me. From my desktop, I'd transferred my music files to an external USB hard drive and the library database files to my laptop. iTunes plays perfectly, but I get the same error message when I try to consolidate. I changed permissions on the external drive and on the iTunes library folder, when needed, to make sure either my user logon or an administrator (which includes me) had full permissions. Still can't consolidate, though. CarolynOtt, did you find a solution yet?

I have an IPhone with music on it and I have an iTunes account on my Mac book pro, its the same itunes account as my phone and it wont let me put music on my phone nor will it allow me to sync the music from my phone to the itunes on my computer. Can you please help me out???? thanks

hi, i have an imac which i bought second hand but but the itunes store wont load up nor will me songs ect sync with the itunes on this comp? i have had no issues with this on previous laptops.... any more of this and i may move to samsung! please help!

Guys, I found another user and what he said to do worked!!! I have copied the information below:
This was 1 of the things that happend to me too, the other one was that at the bottom of the itunes page were it says all the memory info, it marked that I had over 3gb of other memory wich I didn't.
Anyways what I did was to unmark the calendar, contacts etc. ( so that they wont sync with the computer ), pressed apply, then I marked all of them again, apply again and for last I pressed Sync wich is at the bottom right coner by the apply botton.
I'm not sure that had anything to do with it but it worked, my music appeard both of my itunes playlists and the ones I bought in itunes. Also the other memory dissapeard and it's all good.
I'm not sure this will help you but thats my 5 cents, if the problem continues its better to call customer service and ask for a technician.
