Itunes wont start (nothings pup op, not even error message)

Hi,
I got the problem the day i installed Win Xp instead of my Vista..
I cant turn on Itunes, it dosent come up with any message or error.
When i want to shut down, it comes up with a box says "itnues wouldnt answer"
And then its have a "bar" there goes up with blue boxes..
Then it says, "close Itunes" and then i can shut down..
(same thats happing with any other program there is a problem with)
It is the newest download 7,6 so i cant see a problem there..
Any good adwices ??

3. I opened my Task mannager and nothing happend, when i press Itnues. my computer seams to load somthnig in, its make the courser "loading" ... But after 5 sec, it just start loading and nothing happens after that..
Okay. Although I associate the following problem more with an iTunes.exe appearing and persisting in the Processes Tab in Task manager, the way you're getting that "Close program" box for iTunes when you go to shut down the PC (and the answers to my other two questions) suggest that we should follow up on the possibility.
We'd better check on an issue where if certain dlls associated with Cryptographic Services on the PC are misregistered, damaged or missing, then iTunes fails to launch (without any error messages).
With that in mind, try running through *Method 4* from the following Microsoft document:
(MS) You cannot install some updates or programs
*If any of the dlls fail to deregister or reregister,* let us know which ones they are, and what any error messages say when the deregistration or reregistration fails.
*If all the dlls deregister and reregister,* try restarting the PC and launching iTunes again. Does it launch this time?

That suggests the installer is getting damaged during the download.

Itunes wont sync recently purchased content with an error message

About 10 days ago itunes stopped syncing TV episodes that were purchased recently. It comes back with an "this computer is not authorized to play ..." but in fact it is. I have also unauthorized and reauthorized this MAC but it will still not sync the recently downloaded (about 2 weeks or younger) episodes.
To clarify it will sync all content that was downloaded earlier.
Any ideas ?

Same problem today. Took five times to reinstall without any error messages. Apple has posted a way to fix and you should follow their's first. I finally got to upldate correctly by doing their fix but with one difference. I did the following:
1) Went to the C:\program files (x86)\iTunes and C:\program files\iTunes folders and moved every file ending in .dll to the desktop (even if two files in same location had the same name, just replace)
2) Restarted computer and still got error message
3) Uninstalled all apple programs possible in the following order......itunes, apples software update, apple mobile device support, bonjour, and apple application support.....all performed using the microsoft control panel
4) put all the .dll files on the desktop in the trash and emptied (this is a step apple support did not specifically put in their fix but for a final try I wanted to delete everything apple).
5) Restarted computer.
6) Re-installed itunes from apple website
No error messages during re-install and was able to open shortcut in one try. Even updated my ipad to make sure everything was working.

Okay. I'm still wondering about your firewall. A "persistent" iTunes.exe in your processes is most consistent with a firewall blocking iTunes, iTunesHelper and/or QuickTime from accessing the Internet. (Norton Internet Security 2005 is by far the worst offender in this regard, but it can be produced both other firewalls too.)
Head into the Firewalls settings and make sure that iTunes, iTunesHelper, and QuickTime are all being allowed full access to the internet.
If iTunes still doesn't launch after making sure the firewall is correctly adjusted, reboot the PC and try the suggestion from the following document. (It's a much rarer issue, but it can also produce that persistent iTunes.exe symptom in conjunction with an error-message-free iTunes launch failure.)

Let's try getting the program uninstalled by other means then.
Download and install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility:
Description of the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility
Now run the utility (“Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up”), select any QuickTime entries in the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, and then click “Remove”.
Next, we’ll manually remove leftover program files and folders.

Does the repair install go through properly now? Or do you get another error message when you try the repair install?

iTunes wont start, solution computer gives it to download latest version 7.5. nut when i download it and install 7.5 on my computer, which i have done several times, it doesn't work and says i should download the latest update.....which i already have! is it Vista related, or is relating to version 7.5?....please help me!!

I'll post the same thing I posted in another thread; it might help you. Reinstall itunes again according to my post. Some of the information is irrelevant to your problem, but hey, i'm kinda feeling lazy. You'll get the idea. Here it is.....
"this is just a suggestion. If you reinstall itunes again, make sure you follow the directions in the support section of this site for uninstalling itunes and quicktime. Another thing they don't say in that article that I did when i had to uninstall itunes was to do a search. You know, pressing the start button and then "Search". Make sure when you do, click the search "All files and folders". Then set it to look in "Local Hard Drives (C:)" and type in the "all or part of the file name" itunes. After the search is done you should have a bunch of different itunes components in the results. Btw do the same for quicktime as a search. Make sure to DELETE every itunes and quicktime file there. If some of your music files happened to come up in the search use commone sense. Get rid of every component so itunes and quicktime is completely erased from the system. Make sure that you do this after you've restarted your computer once (according to the uninstallation article). Then just empty your recycle bin, reboot your computer, and finally reinstall itunes. Hopefully that will work to at least get rid of that APP error. Good luck and ask me anything you have some questions!!"

Now I've checked the forums and followed the advice of uninstalling all Apple applications, rebooting, and reinstalling iTunes.
This is not working. I've tried installing as Administrator but doesn't make any difference at all.
There must be a way to fix this? I'm not a tech geek but I want to avoid having to take my laptop back to factory settings to sort this out.

Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

I fixed it myself,I reinstalled the itunes software and whallah it fixed itself

Why am i getting an error message saying new itunes library and itunes wont start up

every time i try to start up itunes an error message comes up saying new itunes library and itunes wont start up. I have just updated iMac as I havn't used it for a while.
iTunes wont start.
Any ideas?

My iMac just came back from the shop with a new logic board. It had been out of commission for a few months so I just did the the general software update.
Tried clicking from the apps folder but this didnt work either.
But....
Got a tip from another online blog and just downloaded itunes from the apple site and reinstalled it. This fixed the problem. Had to do the same with Quiktime as well as it wouldn't open all movie types.

have had loads of problems trying to get itunes to work, first it was giving the error message that windows had experienced a problem and had to close. using the advice on here a downloaded quicktime and it solved the problem itunes launched and moved my music into the library it then wouldn't close and now it wont launch at all any help would be great!

a few questions before proceeding. (aimed at working out what the current issue with the launch problem is.)
are you getting an error message? if so, what does it say? include error message numbers if you're getting any.
or are you getting no error messages whatsoever when you try to launch itunes?
if you're getting no error messages whatsoever, do you just see the wee hourglass for a few seconds, and then nothing? if so, do you also have Norton Internet Security 2005 installed on that PC?
or are you seeing a brief "flash" of the itunes license screen (and then nothing)? if so, do you also see similar behavior when you try to launch your QuickTime?

failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services.

With Windows Explorer, navigate to your C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support folder.
Copy the SQLite3.dll that you should find there, navigate to the nearby Mobile Device Support folder, and Paste it in there also.
Restart the programme all should be well
In case that your OS is (64 bit)
1. Open windows explorer, go to location C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
2. Copy file "SQLite3.dll"
3. Now paste it in the folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support
4. Restart the programme, it should not display that message, it should be clear.
