Well, it sort of solved my problem. Now every time I start a lecture with sound, there is no sound, but the slides advance. If I go back to iTunes and turn on a cd, it plays the sound. If I then go back to the lecture, the sound goes on. So each time I start a slide show with sound, I have to turn on iTunes. How can I fix this?

Many people have the same problem. However, there is little or nothing readily available to users. This problem has existed for two or more years. Does anyone have anything to offer about this disturbing problem?

9.0.115 and 9.0.124 and both fail with the policy permission error.
I also tried with and without your crossdomain.xml file but
with the same result. It looks like this file is intended for URL
policy, instead of socket policy. Recently Adobe separated the two.
When I run with the files installed on my dev PC, it does
work, which makes sense because the flash player isn't loaded from
an unknown domain.
I did get one step closer. If a crossdomain.xml in the server
root exists and the socketpolicy file is loaded from the app folder
then the first two warnings disappear. The logs now show:

Which basically says, everything is okay, but you stay out
anyway.

UPDATE: When serving up the policy file on port 843 using the
example perl script then the socket connection seems to be accepted
and the connect succeeds. After that flex hangs trying to logon to

DriveReadySeekComplete errors are either:
- IDE controler failure
- Bad cables
- Bad harddisk
Out of these 3, the last one sounds the most reasonable with nowadays harddrives. And yes, your system will hang when all your important processes are hanging while trying to do disk I/O.
What windows does is switching back to PIO mode and never report anything, until you hit the nice BSOD telling you to replace the floppydisk in drive C...

Ringtone wont stop playing

everytime i have the sound on on my phone and i get a text message i open the text but the ringtone keeps playing until its over. it doesn't stop when i open the message. My old one never did that not even when i first got it. i just got this one the other day in the mail because my old one fried itself. i have tried everything and i have no idea why it wont stop playing the ringtones. Please help me.

Do you have a long ringtone assigned to these types of messages? Different OS versions on the phone can sometimes handle this differently. Try a shorter message notifier, not a long mp3.

Why do some of my Stations on iTunes Radio stop playing music?

I'm using iTunes Radio on my iPhone. After listening to it for while it will stop playing music. I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the servers at Apple. Can anyone give me advice on this issue?

No one hear has any idea why you are having a problem without a lot more information. Have you checked Sync only checked songs? Have you checked "Manually manage music and videos"? Are ANY songs transferrring, or None? Are all of the songs purchased with the same iTunes account? ARE they purchased iTunes songs or from another source? Are you using the same computer all the time (the iPhone can sync music from only one computer at a time)?

I open the itunes library on the computer and start listening to a song. Halfway through it stops playing. From that point on no other songs can be played. I have to close down itunes and reopen it again in order to play another song. In this state, i can still upload songs/sync my ipod and all the songs play successfully on the ipod.

I have uninstalled and re-installed itunes. I have updated itunes. I already checked to see if the firewalls were blocking..they aren't.

ITunes 7 stops playing...

Not sure why but for some reason IT7 just stops playing. Well... It shows the song is still playing but no sound. If I pause and un-pause it comes back on. It does this constantly. Any ideas why? Any help would be appreciated.

I'm having the exact same problem on my home system. There is a great deal of discusssion concerning audio problems with the new Quicktime. I'll try the fix when I get home tonight. In the meantime, maybe you can try changing the Quicktime settings to 16-bit and see if that resolves the problem.

Itunes wont stop backing up, need to update, where's my music?

This is the first time i have used itunes on the computer. The only reason i did is because my Iphone 4 needs the last 2 updates. Some of my apps stopped working because of it. So i downloaded Itunes & loaded my music on to the computer, which for some reason removed it from my phone! Also im trying to do the software update & when i do it says 'backing up" and wont stop. I've done this for hours now. How do i get this stupid update & get all my music transffered back onto my phone?? Im so frustrated! why does this have to be so difficult.

Itunes randomly stop playing and restarts playing like a pause when playing music.

My itunes the latest version 11.1.3 stop playing music randomly and start playing it again. It almost like its buffering itself.
My hard drive is not full.
Already tried to repair disk etc.
I do not know what to do it all start its skipping when I upgraded to OSX Mavericks.

Happens to me as well but not started in mavericks all started with Mountain Lion , a few weeks before he left mavericks , I thought the problme would be solved by updating , but he did not, it's very frustrating strange thing is that in my case not only iTunes is , if any player, have proven Vox and another which I forget the name .
I also feel the same when you play a song in quick look ( Finder) .
I am desperate this problem is with me for the last month and a half went to a apple store and tell me that my machine has nothing that can not help me, and tried everything , reset my machine with a clean install , restart PRAM , repair permissions hise disk hardware test , and nothing has changed.
When iTunes pause my machine freezes a moment and returns to normal when continuous playback , stops about 1s though sometimes hard to 5s .
We appreciate if you find solution , because I am going crazy . Since neither in apple have been able to help me .

Why does the iTunes radio stop playing?

Sometimes when listening to the iTunes radio on my desktop the station will stop playing. The speakers are on and I've done nothing.
Without a paid subscription Pandora will periodically check with the listener.
Is the iTunes radio set up the same way?

The thing is, the music does not cease prior to the slideshow start. Or At least it doesn't cease on my ATV.
I do have Flickr set as screensaver indeed, but having to change screensaver settings to watch a new slideshow is just plain annoying IMO.
Ane the fact that the music plays when a screensaver slideshow is active is a proof that technically the ATV could support the feature.

Itunes intermittently stops playing in middle of song

Usually, iTunes works great for me, but since version 6 or 7 updates it has intermittently stopped playing in the middle of a song as if it is locked up. iTunes will respond if I restart the song or use the left arrow. Pressing enter restarts the song also. It usually is random but today consistently does it on one song in particular. I’m pretty sure it is not my computer because this is a newly built machine, and iTunes did the same thing on my old HP since version 6 or 7 updates. My old computer also would intermittently drop to half volume randomly and then jump back up randomly (usually after I turned it up to compensate) at inopportune times. This machine hasn’t done that yet (it is running 64 bit iTunes and has only updated from version 8 to the current version) but I’m not convinced it won’t start anytime. Has this happened to anyone else? Any ideas? Thanks for your help.

One way to test is to Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, Test for problem in Safe Mode...
PS. Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive
Reboot, test again.
If it only does it in Regular Boot, then it could be some hardware problem like Video card, (Quartz is turned off in Safe Mode), or Airport, or some USB or Firewire device, or 3rd party add-on, Check System Preferences>Accounts (Users & Groups in later OSX versions)>Login Items window to see if it or something relevant is listed.
Check the System Preferences>Other Row, for 3rd party Pref Panes.
Also look in these if they exist, some are invisible...

ITune Videos stop playing

About 5 weeks ago we noticed that 10-20 minutes into playing, iTunes videos would stop. I am streaming from iMac to Apple TV.
We haven't changed anything that I can pinpoint. I have even checked energy settings. Nothing obvious!
