Itunes wont sync pictures from my phone to laptop

I've read that some people are having this problem also but I have yet to find a solution so I'm begging desperately for help! When I connect my iPhone 5 to my laptop, it will sync everything but the photos and videos. I get error 54. Please help. I have a ton of photos and videos that are eating up all the gb on my phone.

I'd like to add some info;
iTunes and iPhone are both up to date. Phone is NOT jailbroken.
I've tried the iFun Box "fix" however while it allows iTunes to once again recongonize my phone it only works the one time meaning I'd have to erase and re-sync my entire music library evertime I want to add music or movies. Ridiculous no?
And when using the iFun Box "fix" I don't have the music database file which would alledgedly allow me to keep my music without re-syncing the whole thing.
I can't believe there is no easy fix for this yet.
This is a new phone and I'm incredibly ticked off right now. I'm not sure why Apple's own product wont' work with its own software.

My friend put some songs and games on my sons ipod and now when I try to back them up on his itunes, they dont show up.
I assume this is because they are from her itunes account. She gave me her login/password to use on the itunes to see if that would back them up, but I'm worried this might mess something up.

You need to rip/import songs from CDs into iTunes. I am not sure what you meant by "sync CDs to itunes" but you do not sync CDs with iTunes. Please follow the below steps to transfer mucis from CDs to iPhone 3GS -
If the songs are already transfered in itunes and you can listen to them when the CD is not in the CD drive, you can skip to "Transfering Music to 3GS".
Importing Songs
1. Insert the CD into iTunes.
2. iTunes will show the CD in the left side panel under Devices. It will also try to recognize the CD if connected to the Internet. If it is a commercial CD, then iTunes will recognize the tracks and fill them up. Otherwise, you will get Track 1, Track 2, etc. You can also manually enter the CD data if iTunes fails to do so. Click on the CD Name on the right left side pan and click on Track 1 and select Get Info. Then enter the Title, Artist Album etc. Click on next when done Track 1 and do so for Track 2.
3. When all information is entered, click on the Import Setting button on the lower right side. Choose either AAC or mp3 encoder. Choose a Setting - I chosen Custom and the highest possible quality. You need to choose based on available disk space.
4. then Click Import. iTunes will import the songs in his library.
Transfering Music to 3GS
5. Then attach your 3GS to the computer using the USB cable. the 3GS will be shown in the devices section. Click on it and choose Music from the menu on the top section. Make sure Sync Music is checked. Now check the songs/artists you like to transfer to your 3GS.
6. Click Sync.
And that's it. Your songs will be transfered to your iPhone 3GS.
It's a long post but frankly, the steps are very intutive and natural.

So, the problem is that iTunes won't sync apps which I downloaded on iPhone. I synced my iPhone before and it all worked well, but now when I go to Apps folder its empty and when I connect my iPhone to computer and sync it, iTunes syncs all exept apps. Whats wrong??

So my mom got a mac book a while back, and when I purchased my iphone 4 a few years ago I "synched" It to my moms computer, it was perfect I could download songs, movies, etc.But now i have my own laptop! (Macbook air mini) and ive been wanting to be able to use Icloud etc but I dont know how, being that my phone is hooked up to mine AND my moms computer. After days of getting frustrated I finally found a solution: Don't use itunes to sync music. After going through pages of possible solutions (restores, syncing albums one at a time, removing all music, deactivating accounts, making a call while syncing and various other things) as well as trying to contact apple support (Which was a joke--They wanted to charge me $19.00 to get help for a problem with their software), I change my Google search terms to "how to sync music without itunes" and I found a program called CopyTrans Manager for free. It only took me a few minutes to add the new tracks to my iphone. It automatically organizes it the same way itunes would and you have the option to make your own playlists. Best of all it synced the first try! Itunes is now dead to me. Now I just have to figure out what I'm going to do with all the free time I have since I'm not going to be spending hours banging my head at my computer ready to throw my phone out the window.

i saw this under the summary tab in itunes. when you hover over photos at the bottom it shows how many pictures. i don't have it set to sync pics off of my computer files to the phone which is over 6,000 which it said when i clicked on sync photos from but i didn't sync. My phone shows 1.4GB on my camera roll while itunes, under the summary tab of my iphone shows 2.89GB.
i just read this morning to delete photos from the stream which removes them from the cloud and all synced devices. this is why i get confused because i read that on apple.com as well.

First off, I have windows XP, and an iPhone 4s. When I connect my phone to my laptop a dialog box comes up asking me what I want to do with the USB hardware, (usualy asks "import/export pictures etc.") When this dialog box comes up with options available it works fine, but eventually it goes blank after a month or so and that when I cant import pictures from my phone. In the past, uninstalling iTunes and all apple support programs and reinstalling them fixes everything. But now even that doesnt work. I bring up my computer and my phone is listed, but if i try to access it, by either bringing up the properties or just duoble clicking it comes up blank or just does nothing. I can sync to iTunes with no issues but anything outside of iTunes doesnt work. I can't even import my pictures through iTunes. PLEASE HELP!! (I'm new to the Apple world and am not sure if importing pictures through iTunes is even possible) Thanks you

If your photos on your phone are saved on any sort of removable memory card, you can take that card, put it into your computer, then sync that folder with your iPad.
Alternatively, you can e-mail those photos to an account you can open on the iPad and save the photos from there.
I don't know if the Evo can sync with a computer, but if you get it onto a computer the use iTunes to sync it to the iPad.
Or if the evo has a removable microSD card, and you have the iPad camera connection kit you may be able to transfer the photos from the card onto the iPad.

If you do not have a back up of the crashed hard drive you can download an app to copy from the iPhone to iTunes on the new hard drive.
I have used Pod2Mac. There is also Pod2PC.
There are numerous choices, some free, some payed. Do a Google search.

For some reason, my iTunes will no longer sync pictures from iPhoto to my iPod Touch 1. gen.
I tell it to sync the five last photo albums, but during sync I get a error message saying that the archives I'm trying to synchronize do not exist (well, it says something like that, in Danish).
I can only get it to sync my last photoalbum - anything more than that and I get the error message...
Any ideas regarding a possible cause/solution to this problem?

Reinstall iTunes. Make sure you follow the instructions in this support document to the letter. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923.
You may have some problems because Apple has not certified that everything works with Windows 8 yet.
