itunes wont sync music to iphone 5c, skips music portion of sync and gets stuck on "waiting for changes to be applied"
also wont remove cloud downloaded previously purchased songs during sync, i have restored the phone from my old one that was destroyed, but other than that sync pretty much doesnt work at all for photos or anything else.
plenty of available space on brand new phone
    IOS 7.0.4
    itunes 11.1.3.8

After days of getting frustrated I finally found a solution: Don't use itunes to sync music. After going through pages of possible solutions (restores, syncing albums one at a time, removing all music, deactivating accounts, making a call while syncing and various other things) as well as trying to contact apple support (Which was a joke--They wanted to charge me $19.00 to get help for a problem with their software), I change my Google search terms to "how to sync music without itunes" and  I found a program called CopyTrans Manager for free. It only took me a few minutes to add the new tracks to my iphone. It automatically organizes it the same way itunes would and you have the option to make your own playlists. Best of all it synced the first try! Itunes is now dead to me. Now I just have to figure out what I'm going to do with all the free time I have since I'm not going to be spending hours banging my head at my computer ready to throw my phone out the window.

A wet phone is out of warranty. This is considered user damage. Even if you were able to get it to start now, the chances of it working for long are slim. I suggest going to Apple and see about an OOW replacement. One for the iPhone 4 is only $149USD and it would come with a short warranty. It is a refurbished device and you would not be worried about encountering additional problems.

  • ITunes wont sync music to iphone

Itunes newest version wont sync music or videos to my iphone 4.   it syncs apps but not music  this is weird.  anybody else have this issue after upgrading to 4.3.5?

Wow!  Apple really doesn't give a flip, do they?  I wish I'd kept procrastinating about installing iTunes on my newer pc.  My old pc was out of room to sync again, so I'd put it off for months.  But, since I'd purchased quite a bit of music, I really wanted it backed up.  Finally got it to install, "synced" my phone, only to lose about half of my music.  At first, it was only the cd's I'd added.  So, I went back to my old pc to use the tried and true, and after updating iTunes, and syncing my phone on it, I lost even more songs - songs that I purchased on iTunes.  So, now Apple has virtually "stolen" my music.  They are committing theft.  If I can't get the songs off of my pc and onto my phone, then the songs are of no use to me.  I don't carry my pc around to play music.  Naturally, it failed to sync my most played songs.
This is ridiculous!  I didn't even run out and buy the iPhone 5 the minute it came out.  I waited, I thought, for the bugs to be fixed.
I went from over 2100 songs down to 362 songs on my phone.  Songs I purchased just a few months ago won't sync.
Samsung isn't outselling IPhones just because they have "new" stuff, they are outselling them because IPhones are a jip.  Unless this is fixed super soon, I'll never purchase another one.

  • Itunes wont sync Music to Iphone 6 Plus

I have just purchased an Iphone 6 Plus and have tried to restore the backup from my 5S. Everything syncs apart from the music. Music I have purchased and saved will sync but nothing else will.
Searching the community posts I have followed every procedure that has been explained to no avail!
I then rest the phone to factory settings, and just set up as a new phone, I then manually added everything and again itunes will sync everything apart from the music. I can add and take away films, ringtones, pictures with no problems but Music, it just doesn't seem to be interested in anything unless I have purchased the items.
This includes me trying to manually add files as well as attempting to sync.
I have also deleted the music from the settings before attempting to sync and this does not work.
This has all started since the implementation of IOS 8. Having searched your forums this seems to be a popular problem with many reporting the same problem.
Apple can you please sort this out!!!!!

I have the same problem with the iphone 6. No matter what I do I cannot sync my music. I can download music I've purchased from Apple, but cannot sync, which means all of my other music is just stuck in iTunes. I'm going to try to call somebody, but if this isn't going to be resolved soon, my phone is going back. I don't need 128 G of empty space.

  • ITunes wont sync with my iPhone anymore

I'm not sure what happened, but iTunes won't sync with my iPhone 4 anymore at all. I changed my DNS server settings on my Mac and iPhone (because of stupid Comcast) and now I can't sync using wifi or usb. I reset all my settings to how it was before and it still doesn't work. I'm all out of ideas and its starting to pisss me off so any help at all would be GREATLY appreciated!!!

i found the one that worked best for me was step 5 because right after the most recent itunes update, my 5s only came up on my pc. the instructions for step 5 are a bit tedious but it works great. http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1538

  • My iTunes wont sync to my iPhone its not even reading it like I have it hooked up to my computer plz help

My iTunes won't sync to my iPhone its not even reading it like I have it hooked up to my computer

    Hey there 2Chainz,
It sounds like youre being prompted that there is not enough space. I would use the following article to help resolve the issue named:
iOS: "Not enough free space" alert when trying to sync
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1503
Try disconnecting and reconnecting your device, then syncing again to solve this issue.
Orphaned files may remain on your iOS device if it is physically disconnected while syncing music, podcasts, videos, or photos. This can prevent iTunes from syncing the iOS device on subsequent sync sessions. When this happens, the Capacity indicator in iTunes may report a large amount of "Other" disk usage for the iOS device. To resolve this issue:
Turn off the music or photo sync option in iTunes for the device.
Click Apply to sync the changes to the device.
Turn the music and photo sync options for the device on again.
Click Apply again to try to sync the device to iTunes.
If the 'Not enough free space' alert appears, continue to step 5.
Turn off the automatic syncing functions for the iOS device. To do this:
Select the iOS device from the iTunes window and click the Summary tab.
Deselect "Automatically sync when this device is connected" and select the "Sync only checked songs and videos" checkbox.
Click Apply to sync the changes to the device.
Reduce the amount of data that is being synced to the device and resync the device. For example, if syncing your Music library exceeds the memory capacity of the device, choose "Selected playlists" to transfer rather than "All songs and playlists" under the Music tab in iTunes.
If the 'Not enough free space' alert appears, continue to step 6.
    Restore using iTunes.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    Regards,
    Sterling

  • HELP ITUNES WONT SYNC MUSIC TO IPHONE...

    Hi,
I have tried syncing my Itunes with my 3G Iphone as well as an older IPod and it won't complete the syncing phase.
Itunes also freezes when I try and add new songs to the library. Sometimes if I go to add one song and then leave it for ages, this one song will be added in.
When I try to sync the Iphone it keeps getting stuck at the "Determining tracks to sync" phase. It then freezes and I have to force Itunes to close as it stops responding.
I have over 4000 songs in my library and about 700 on my phone in playlist and have tried syncing even just a few songs but it keeps freezing. I tried deleting all the music off my Iphone and syncing it without the music. The songs are now all deleted off the Iphone and I can't get them back on there.
I have deleted the itunes.plist and it still won't sync. I have tried manually syncing as well, still with no luck.
The only options I see I might have left are to restore the Iphone or reinstall Itunes. I am not confident with either options.
I have the most updated software version both for the Macbook and also Itunes. I am out of warranty, it is only 2 years old though, otherwise I would have called Apple.
Does anybody else have any ideas? This is the first time I have used this forum and I hope some good soul out there will have the answer.
    Thanks guys!! xoxo

  • ITunes wont sync music to iPhone 4

Upgraded from iPhone 3G to iPhone 4 yesterday. iTunes will only sync 50 songs onto iPhone 4...and Ive tried both options of sync "entire music library" and "selected playlist, artist, albums and genres" and get the same results, only 50 songs actually synced to iphone. but itunes says that there is 2.64G on iphone. Any one have any ideas?

Its not your phone that needs updating - its iTunes on your PC that needs to be 11.1

  • ITunes wont sync Calendar to iPhone

Says "iTunes could not sync calendars to the iPhone"XXX iPhone" because an error occurred while sending data from the iPhone."
I just got the phone about a month ago, when I converted everything from my 2G to 3G the phone seemed a little sluggish, now started doing this, I did a restore and still the same thing.
Just wondering if anyone knew what I could do to possibly fix this?
    Thanks

    Update your iPhone to 4.2
In itunes, once your phone is connected, check mark the opinion you want to sync and try it again.

  • My purchased items on Itunes wont sync to my iphone

Iv'e synced my iphone a ton of times before and the purchased items have gone straight on without any hassle.

After this, I tried syncing again but the audiobook still wouldn't go on
    What do I do?

    Hi Rhubard,
    Welcome to the Support Communities!
Are you working with a Mac or PC?  What version of iTunes are you working with?  Try the steps outlined in the iPhone User guide to sync your audiobook:
Sync podcasts, audiobooks, iTunes U, and other content automatically
    http://help.apple.com/itunes/mac/10.1/interface/index.html#itns3276
To sync audiobooks or books with your iPod, iPhone, or iPad:
Connect your iPod, iPhone, or iPad to your computer.
In iTunes, select your iPod, iPhone, or iPad (below Devices), and click the Books button.
Select Sync Audiobooks, and do one of the following:
To sync all the audiobooks in your iTunes library to your device, choose “All audiobooks.”
To add selected audiobooks and playlists containing audiobooks, choose “Selected audiobooks and playlists,” and select the audiobooks and playlists you want to sync.
    Click Apply.
    Cheers,
    - Judy
