ITunes wont sync to touch or iPhone

Just got a new iPhone 4s for my daughter. She alrerady has an iPod touch with 6gigs worth of songs.
Downloaded & installed iTunes 10.5.....
NO music will sync to either her new phone or the touch now!
Apps, videos etc all work fine. The "sync all music" box is checked on the top bar as well.
My itunes on my PC as well as my other daughters PC all work fine.
Tried to uninstall & reinstall etc.....what am I missing here?
Running Windows 7 on this PC.....

how do i make my laptop my default library then? with the same settings/playlists that are on my desktop? i download touchcopy09 which allowed me to transfer all songs/playlists over to my laptop to itunes which is how i have the same exact songs on both laptop and desktop
on my desktop, music only transfers over if i click and drag it to the iphone dropdown

after my iOS5 update on my iphone 4 Itunes changed a few settings. I had it set up that my iPhone would have music and no photos synced. And my iPad2 All Photos would sync and NO music.
After the update and sync, my iPhone will not sync Music, With in iTunes under the Device iPHONE and the Music tab there are the tracks of music but they are shaded and i am not able to play from there. On my phone there no songs.
Yes I have the boxes checked in the music tab of the iTunes area to Sync ALL.

Right.........Problem Solved!
1) Back up all of your stuff that you want!
2) Restore your Phone (This totally wipes everything so make sure it's backed up)
3) Then turn apps off for syncng and sync music
4) That should sync music onto it.
5) Then sync any apps you need.
This (with the help of a Genius in the Apple Store and took about 1hour and a half) worked for me!

Even if I delete something from my iTunes library it stays on my phone. I've restored my phone, reinstalled iTunes, checked everything for sync. It says sync is complete but nothing happens. Any ideas how to fix?

What happens when you do this for the apps that do not sync?

You first have to download the non-compatible version on your computer. Then when you try to purchase the version on your iPod you will be offered a compatible version if one exists.

I recently bought a new dell inspiron 15 laptop, downloaded the latest version of itunes. then put all of my music and apps into the new itunes and tried to sync. the apps work fine but the music and videos are not syncing. i have tried re-loading the music in, all of the boxes are checked in itunes and i have trued selecting artists, but still nothing. now i'm a bot bored of having no music, can anyone help?

It sounds like you need to set it up, and that makes sense because you said that its a new iPod. Just go through the steps of setting up a new iPod and you should be good.

After days of getting frustrated I finally found a solution: Don't use itunes to sync music. After going through pages of possible solutions (restores, syncing albums one at a time, removing all music, deactivating accounts, making a call while syncing and various other things) as well as trying to contact apple support (Which was a joke--They wanted to charge me $19.00 to get help for a problem with their software), I change my Google search terms to "how to sync music without itunes" and I found a program called CopyTrans Manager for free. It only took me a few minutes to add the new tracks to my iphone. It automatically organizes it the same way itunes would and you have the option to make your own playlists. Best of all it synced the first try! Itunes is now dead to me. Now I just have to figure out what I'm going to do with all the free time I have since I'm not going to be spending hours banging my head at my computer ready to throw my phone out the window.

My iPhone is on the current firmware and un-jb . My iTunes is the latest version according to the Apple Update and yet my iTunes wont sync to my phone. Keeps coming up saying the device is not connected , however the phone icon appears in the left hand menu bar and i go into it and check on playlists, contacts, photos , movies etc i want to sync ?

A wet phone is out of warranty. This is considered user damage. Even if you were able to get it to start now, the chances of it working for long are slim. I suggest going to Apple and see about an OOW replacement. One for the iPhone 4 is only $149USD and it would come with a short warranty. It is a refurbished device and you would not be worried about encountering additional problems.

u just upgraded from vista 64bit ultimate to windows 7 64bit ultimate and now itunes wont sync podcasts to my ipod touch!
it shows the syncing on the ipod and on itunes but no files are transferring!
this is driving me mad, how do i fix this?

basically my macbook pro OS X 10.6.6 what running out of space so i relocated my itunes into my external harddrive, and now when i try to Sync my iPhone4 (4.2.1) into itunes it will come up as my iphone but wont sync, it says this iphone is sync'd on a different itunes and it has to wipe and start fresh, when i just relocated my folder. plus on top off this all i cant find the backup file anywhere on my mac or on my external hardrive
i dont want to erase and restart my iphone4 because it has pictures and important contacts on it which i dont want to lose!

Can I get original files back? Itunes wont sync new music, Help!!

My computer had to be taken to the shop last week and the whole system had to be wiped and recovered. I forgot to tell them there was another file I wanted saved so I lost a lot of my music.
I managed to download the free version of touchcopy and get my music back on to itunes. The music that I lost comes up with a question mark and wont play on itunes but is in ipod and plays fine. Is there anyway I can get the original files of these songs on to my computer as I cant make playlists or anything with these songs?
Also in my ipod a few of the playlists have been screwed up and there are about 5-6 versions of 90s music, recently added etc that have nothing in them. Is there anyway to get rid of them?
My main problem now is that itunes wont sync the new music that Ive just added (it wasnt on the ipod before). When i plug my ipod into my computer itunes tells me "sync is complete" and it also shows up with "do not disconnect" on my computer. How do I sync this music on to my ipod??

I know that sounds so obvious, but I can't figure out how. There are six folders in the iTunes Media folder. Under advanced preferences there's a box that says iTunes Media Folder location with a "change" or "reset" option. What do I change it to? I tried the reset option, but nothing changed. I was hoping it would magically get all my stuff in order but it didn't. I was scared to try the change option. Most of my library is also in my iPhone and iPad and in the right folders/places and I'm scared to sync them with my Mac because I don't want them all screwed up. And the syncing through iDisc on my Mac isn't working because it can't find my iTunes Media folder and the six folders/documents in it.
I'd appreciate a step-by-step if possible. Literally. I've been using computers for years and my Mac for a little over a year and never had problems with it until this. I also noticed that several times in iTunes help it says " don't change the folder name or location for iTunes Media." duh. Read that too late.

He can select the pictures and share them with himself, which will put them in his shared album on his computer under pictures and icloud pictures. So they will then be in the shared folder under Pictures<iCloud Photos on his computer.
