Itunes wont update and wont reinstall
I had to uninstall itunes because it told me to re install due to an error, but now everytime I try to re install it says give me this error "Service Apple Mobile Device, failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services.". I have tried to reinstall itunes 3 times now, and every time i get this error message.

When i try to update my apps from the app store some of the apps wont update and ask for an Apple ID that isn't mine. Whats the problem and how do i fix it? All im trying to do is update my apps and its asking for these random apple ID's.
The apps were purchased by another user with a different Apple ID. You will have to erase them and repurchase them using your Apple ID.

iTunes is updated and works fine and I am able to log onto my account. When I go to purchase a song, I get the error message "Your Apple ID has been disabled". I've tried different methods: changing passwords, making a new account with another email address, and emailing itunes tech support. I am curious as to how many others have been experiencing the same issue. When I googled the error, it seemed like it was happening extremely often with many people.

I had some fraudulent charges on my itunes account, so I call my bank and disputed the charges. Right after I did that, I started getting the message "Your apple ID has been disabled." I just realized today that the charges are not fraudulent, they are "in app purchases." One of my daughters downloaded the game Top Girl which is FREE, but in the game Top Girl you use money in the game to purchase things. It just so happens that the money you use to purchase things is real money MY Money!!!. My daughter thought she was using play money in the game and had no idea she was using real money. She spent $106.00 buying stuff. Now I have to call the bank and tell them to release the hold and pay Itunes. I'm hoping this solves the problem. My Ipod worked by voice control when it was connected to my Ford Sync. I connected to Itunes to update and transfer music and voice control no longer works. Help?

I downloaded the latest iTunes software update and it properly installed. But, I cannot close the update window showing it was completed and the blue completion bar is full but cannot cancel or close it either. Any ideas on how to clear that out and close the window. Tried to quit on both the big window and the software update title in the menu bar. No luck.
Tried that by shutting down via the power button only as the normal shutdown was nixed by the open window issue. It did not help. Found a very similar question in the discussions and it recommended "Force Quit". That worked and the update works normal and the window is gone. Thanks!

I have a wifi connection but "safari cannot open the page because it is not connected to the internet" I have reset everything; I have used Itunes to update and reset. Still no good. It worked until 2 days ago
Reset everything.. did you do this?
Tap Settings / General / Reset / Reset Network Settings
If you're already been there, done that, could be a third party app preventing Safari from accessing the web.
Re sync your apps 5 at a time, then test the iPad. -

Bad juju not having a bootable backup that you can revert back to when you run into these kinds of issues. Get a bootable, external HD, and make a bootable backup/clone before updating/upgrading and ensure that it's bootable and works like the original. See these for details:

Back to your issue. Boot with the Leopard install disk, select your language, select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu, and repair the disk and permissions. Report back. -

I just not a new iPhone and in order to sync it I need the newest iTunes, but I can't update it! I tried checking for updates and then trying to downlaod it. I get this error: "Errors occured while installing the updates. If the problem persists, chose Tools > Download Only and try installing manually."
Where on earth is Tools anyway?
When I tried just reinstalling all of iTunes, I had a Windows Installer error...I don't even know what that is!tools is at the top of the apple updater but dont get your hopes up

You will have to restore using itunes.... if that doesn't work, try entering dfu mode before restoring

hi guys,
ive just got a new ipod 7th gen.
trying to download the new itunes version but when i go to itunes page i can select download onto mac, but underneath it the buttons have changed to a small blue and white question mark and the 'download' button in the right hand top corner is fainted out and wont let me select.
any ideas?

You can try using Software Update instead. From the Apple menu, select Software Update. If there is a more recent version of iTunes available for your Mac and version of Mac OS X, it will appear listed as an available update.
