i have been trying to install itunes 8.1.1 to no avail. i have tried lots of support suggestions but always end up with the same error message.

You have given nothing to go on there.
Give the error message in full and describe exactly what you were doing when you received it.
Was this a new install or an upgrade? If it was an upgrade what method did you use to upgrade.
Did you download the iTunes installer from the apple site and save it on your PC before running it, or did you try to run it from your browser?
What support suggestions have your tried?

As you know, a number of features from CS5 are not active in CC (bones, motion editor, etc), making it very difficult to learn. I have a powerPC G5 and can't run the latest version of Abobe flash player but need it for facebook. What can I do?

Facebook games are requesting Adobe flash player 10.3 but when I try to install it is says not compatiable with PowerPC. I have a PowerPC G5 mac running MAC OS 10.5.8. Is there any way around this (apart from buying a new computer!!)

I am pretty sure that there was a "last version of 10.2" that was PPC compatable that you can get from here. You should at least update to the latest, last version of the PPC version. A search of adobe should reveal what that last version was...

Actually you need to quit Safari which is different from closing. With Safari open go the menu bar for Safari/Quit Safari.

Seems that with the last 3 or 4 Flash Player updates, once the update is complete but before the installer actually exits, I get an error message box telling me that "Adobe Flash Player Installer/Uninstaller 11.2.r202 has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.", etc., etc., etc. I've received this error message numerous times as most of the computers I work on are Windows XP SP3 (all updates) with Internet Explorer 8 as the browser, including my own computer and my wife's. If I could copy & paste the details, I would. But the temp file that's supposed to be created for error reporting purposes, isn't, and I'm not going to spend the next half an hour transcribing all the technical details. I just want you to be aware there's a problem with your installer. -kd5150-

I'm sorry you are running into this crash. To help investigate the problem, we'll need you to do a few things for us.
First, add the following line to the file mms.cfg (open in Notepad)
SilentAutoUpdateVerboseLogging=1
You can find the mms.cfg file here:

windows 7 64bit: c:\windows\syswow64\macromed\flash\mms.cfg
Next, we'll want to get a crash dump so we can see what's going wrong. You can enable crash logging on Windows Vista or 7 using the following steps:
Download the following files: Enable Crash Logging.reg and Disable Crash Logging.reg.
Double-click the Enable Crash Logging.reg file. Click Yes in the Registry Editor dialog.
Restart your computer.
Let the updater/installer crash occur
After the crash, open a file browser window and type the following in the navigation bar:%localappdata%
Go to the CrashDump folder.
Select the most recent file that appears with the extension .dmp.
Double-click the Disable Crash Logging.reg file downloaded in Step 1 and click OK.
Restart your computer.

Listen. This service is, has been and seemingly will be: FREE. So while emotions are running on the hot side of the guage, let's remember; it is FREE. Adobe owes no one anything. Now who's to blame, really? We, the people are to blame. Why? Because everyone has been ok with the fact that one company essentially designed and released a technology for streaming from the net. I have two laptops. I have installed Adobe Flash CS5 in my first laptop (Windows XP). When I start the application, it shows the following message:
"Adobe Flash CS5 has encountered a problem and needs to close"
I have installed the Flash CS5 in my second laptop and it worked fine.
Error signature:

Exactly! The password I used to log on here and write my post I figured was the same Apple ID password I would use to reset my computer login password. But my computer isn't recognizing it as the correct password so it wont let me update my login password. I have 2 user accounts on my computer.

Mail app flashes open but closes immediately

Every time I try to open my Mail app it flashes open but then closes right away.
When I go into Settings > Mail it says "ACCOUNTS ARE CURRENTLY SYNCING." -- but I don't show anywhere that it is syncing to my iPad.
Any suggestions??

First, reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again. You will not lose any data by resetting, but it can cure some glitches.
Restoring for the latest backup would be the next step after that:

If this does not work, delete the account and set it up again.

ITunes has encountered a problem and needs to close -BUT IT NEVER OPENS!!!!

Had to do a system restore and lost some applications. Reinstalled ITunes, but now everytime I try to open ITunes I get a message that says ITunes encountered a problem and needs to close. It never opens though! I have uninstalled and re-installed too many times to count. I would go through a complete uninstall and reinstall once again. This time, follow go to kbase 93976 (http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93976). Look under the 'General Installation Troubleshooting' section, and start by going through the uninstall (including leftover files in Program Files and system32). After that, go through the section on using the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility, and remove all Apple software that shows up.
Hopefully that should get it working.

I have Windows 7 OS on my desktop. I had trouble with IE9 loading a shoutbox in a Carers Forum I belong to. I loaded Firefox and it allowed me to use the shoutbox okay. But when I tried to access the games aracade it told I needed to download Adobe Flashplayer (the games play okay on IE9). I tried to download Adobe Flashplayer and it downloaded halfway, then told me I needed to close Firefox for the download to continue. I have made sure that it was closed by checking Task Manager to see which applciations were open. I get the same message if I try to download using IE9. I have tried to uninstall Firefox using Control Panel, but I get the same message saying I need to close Firefox... again i checked Task manager but it says it is not running.

In Setttings - Mail, Contacts, Calendars select your MobileMe account. Make sure Find My iPad is turned on.
