Hey Paul,
Thanks for the advice and links.. i connected my computer straight to the modem but still get the same problem. From my friends computer i put the itunessetup.exe version 7.1 on a flashdrive and downloaded the newest version from his internet and put it on there also. the version 9 now has a "Itunessetup.exe is not a valid Win32 application" error.
The version 7 though did open good and install, but i cant open it cause my itunes library was created by a later version (8.2, my computers old itunes)
I tried to update now through my router and directly through my modem, but now when it looks for updates i get "The apple software update server could not be found. Check your internet settings and try again" i have internet good on both through my router and direct. Any advice on what to do now to fix it?
Thanks, Jaggedrock

  • Itunessetup.exe wont open

    Hello,
I had been using iTunes version 8.2.0 i think and it worked fine with my ipod classic and music etc. when the version 9 update came i tried to update but it always got to about 70% and stop saying "Itunes+Quicktime" has a invalid signature.
I recently got an ipod touch so i needed version 9 to sync my itunes with it. itunes still always got that error when updating though so i uninstalled it and downloaded the new version from the apple website it seemed to download fine but when i went to open it to install. I got a prompt that it doesn't have a valid signature and may be dangerous software am i sure i want to install, i did yes and my computer acted like it was loading but then did nothing.
I have googled and went through all the forums related and have tried all the solutions ive found... empty temp files, temp internet files, restart, download thorugh different internet program, allow through firewall, etc. etc.
I really want my music and movies on my new ipod touch and would really like to listen to my music again if anyone has any advice on what i can do to get my itunes working again please help.
    Thank you, Jaggedrock

  • CMS.exe wont start: FWM 01003

    HI All,
I seem to be having some issues with getting BO XI running.  THis is what anyone gets when logging into BO:
Error: Server ****** not found or server may be down (FWM 01003) null
Nothing has changed in terms of server ports no datasource.  Now there have been numerous posts/resolutions on this, however none of them seem to work for me.
    I have:
Restarted SIA and Apache Tomcat (in the recommended order)
    Restarted the server
Checked the ODBC connection (localhost, MySQL installed as default alongside BO)
I have noticed that CMS.exe is shutting down a few seconds after SIA is started which looks like its casuing the issue, and the Event Viewer mentions it maybe either ports or the datasource.  Both of these appear fine, so Im not sure what it is.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,

Does your server have more that 1 network cards setup?
Try to add the name and IP address of the host directly in the hosts file.
Can you please check in <BOBJ installation directory>\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\logging for errors in the log files of the CMS and the SIA?

  • UTLite33.exe wont start

    Hi,
UTLite33.exe from Campus Manager 3.3 does not want to start, it gives the following:
    "UTLite33.exe is not a valid Win32 application"
    Thanks

If you are getting this message on a system running Windows 7 64 bit, please refer to this article for the solution:
    https://supportforums.cisco.com/message/3557044
Basically you need to copy the utlite33.exe to your Windows directory, right click on it and set it to Windows XP compatibility mode.  Log out and back in and if your script calls it to run, you should see it under Task Manager > Processes.

  • ITunesSetup.exe fails to start

I am trying to install iTunes 9.1.1 while running Windows XP with SP3. Every time I try to run iTunesSetup.exe I get this message: "This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem." I've tried reinstalling and I still get the same error message. What now?

"This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem."
    That's unusual in this context.
Related issues when trying to launch iTunes and QuickTime can be caused by issues with the .NET framework on a PC, so it might be worth trying the following document (even though it's about a different issue):
[iTunes for Windows: "iTunes was not installed properly. Please reinstall iTunes" message|http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3074]
If you update or repair your .NET framework, does the iTunes installer behave itself or do you still get the same sort of error message?

  • Itunes wont start and i get no error messages

i just downloaded itunes 7.3 and itunes wont start any ideas how to fix?

Okay. I'm still wondering about your firewall. A "persistent" iTunes.exe in your processes is most consistent with a firewall blocking iTunes, iTunesHelper and/or QuickTime from accessing the Internet. (Norton Internet Security 2005 is by far the worst offender in this regard, but it can be produced both other firewalls too.)
Head into the Firewalls settings and make sure that iTunes, iTunesHelper, and QuickTime are all being allowed full access to the internet.
If iTunes still doesn't launch after making sure the firewall is correctly adjusted, reboot the PC and try the suggestion from the following document. (It's a much rarer issue, but it can also produce that persistent iTunes.exe symptom in conjunction with an error-message-free iTunes launch failure.)

  • Itunes 9.1 wont start, says itunes has stopped working

I have a windows vista home premium 32 bit gateway laptop/pc, with a wired connection for internet. I have had no trouble for 3 years with past itunes but now with 9.0 and 9.1 it simply just wont start at all. When I double click on itunes I get, "itunes has stopped working and windows will notify you if a solution is avaible". I have tried to talk to numerous apple specialists but no can do because for them to troubleshoot with you, one has to own an apple product like ipod with serial number for them to actually help. I got rid of my ipod a long time ago, so I guess the option of talking to a non-robotic person will not work for some reason. A specialist gave me over 10 articles as to why itunes wont start with windows vista, things such as msconfig (changing startup options), uninstalling and reinstalling, having latest updates for firewall, itunes, among others which I already possess, Opening itunes on another user account and other too. I've tried all of these options and the only thing that I gained from all of these articles was I can open itunes on my different user account but when I do, it does not have any of my music on it. I have uninstalled itunes and reinstalled it before and the music has automatically showed up in itunes, but in the user account it does not do this. Does anyone know what the problem could be, it shouldn't be that hard for apple to provide a specialist to sit down after 30 minutes of eating there creme filled donuts and actually provide some customer service for the first time in history. Rhapsody has sat down for 2 and half hours and fixed my problem many times, (there based in the middle east and I can hardly understand them yet they were way more effient than itunes was). All I want is my precious metal music back which I poured over 100 dollars into. Thank you for everybodies support in trying to help me and others with same topic.

+I have checked in task manager and the programs itunes.exe and ituneshelper.exe are in the processes window but the program is not visible on the desktop.+
that usually means your security software is blocking it. Norton, McAfee, or whatever you use - try temporarily shutting it off and see if itunes will fully launch.

  • ITunesSetup.exe won't download

The latest version of iTunes wouldn't update properly, so I followed the instructions on this site to totally remove iTunes and any associated programs, restarted my computer (Windows 7), and tried to download iTunes from scratch.  As soon as I click on the "Download Now" button, I get the "Thank you for downloading iTunes" screen.  THEN the dialog box opens to ask me if I want to save iTunesSetup.exe.  I click on "Save File", and the dialog box goes away.  That's it.  Nothing else happens.  I get no further confirmation that the installer has downloaded, and I can't find it on the computer ANYWHERE.
How do I force the installer to actually download?

That version is quite old now, though its fine if you don't have a device the requires a newer version for syncing or want to use the latest features. Should you want to bring things up to date howver, then for general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert to an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for installation or performance issues, or compatibility with QuickTime or third party software.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there are also links to backup and recovery advice should it be needed.

  • ITunesSetup.exe not a valid WIN32 Application????

I've been deployed to Afghanistan for the past 13 months and have another 4 to go. I'm trying to download Itunes 7.0.2 and when I go to install it I get an error that reads ITunesSetup.exe is not a valid WIN32 application. What the **** does this mean. I only have a couple of days to get this fixed and my Ipod crashed with that RavMon virus lastnight. Anyone please help

I had the very same problem with installing, and have no idea what it means. I've searched all over support, and asked the very same question about 4 months back.
One odd thing about it, though. It didn't seem to make a difference when installing. The installer would get partially finished, and the error would appear. The installer would then start "rolling back actions" and when you would think it would close, it would start back up again. I have no idea why, but the installation completed normally, and my itunes works fine.
If it doesn't work the first time, try it a couple more times. That's what happened with me.

  • Itunessetup.exe couldn't be downloaded error message for for vista.

itunessetup.exe couldn't be downloaded error message for for vista. Couldn't get the update so I uninstalled itunes and still get the error message. I tried reconfiguring the start up components with no luck. anybody know how to fix this?

I actually had started on this before your post but you are right. My luck created some issues but after I got around that it worked. I uninstalled everything in the order it needed to. While I was doing this windows had an update. When I restarted something must have went wrong with the update and it crashed on the start up. took me a while to restore it but when I was done it brought back the programs in their damaged state.
So I did the uninstall process again. restarted. and reinstalled and it all works now.
    Thank you for the help.
For those reading this the order to uninstall goes as:
iTunes, Apple Software Update, Apple Mobile Device Support, Bonjour, Apple Application Support, iCloud, and finally MobileMe. Skip over any you don't have installed. Then Restart then reinstall itunes.

  • Cant install QuickTimeInstaller.exe or iTunesSetup.exe and IE9 SmartScreen Filter reports the program is not commonly downloaded and is not signed by its author. I run it anyway, but "is not a valid Win32 application". Tried Firefox

I followed the Article TS1406 (recommended solution) on both a Windows 7 OS and an Apple OS, tried Safari and Firefox, tried using 'Upgrade ITunes' button on my old version of iTunes, then uninstalled ITunes, then QuickTime, now can't install either because I'm getting the same error message when I download and choose Run > 'not a valid Win32 application'. On IE9, the SmartScreen Filter returns a warning that the file could harm my computer because it is not commonly downloaded. I tried downloading it from other internet sources, but that's risky, and anyway, it's still causing the same errors. What else is there to try? If I can't find a solution, I can't use my new Iphone 5

It's still pointing to the installers getting damaged during the downloads.
Perhaps try downloading and saving a copy of the installer to a different PC. (If you're on a 32-bit Windows system, try to download on a different 32-bit Windows system.) Copy the iTunesSetup.exe installer to an external hard-drive, or a large-enough thumb drive or burn it to a CD-R. Carry the installer back to your PC, copy the installer to your hard drive. (Don't run the install from the ExHD, thumb or CD-R.) Start the install by doubleclicking the iTunesSetup.exe file.

    Hello,
As mentioned by jmcmullen, SQL Server Agent is a feature not available on SQL Server Express Edition.
    Try the following workaround.
