IUUC_PERF_OPTION table entries - promote from DEV to QA

Hi Team,
I have maintained source table entries (IUUC_PERF_OPTION) in SLT DEV, I would like to promote the table entries from DEV to QA landscape. Our mass transfer ID is different in both SLT DEV and QA. Hence, Please suggest me the approach to promote the entries from DEV to QA?

Well i have some strange thoughts:
when the idoc is send in sender-system the values on sender informations are:
Port: SAPPSI
Partner number: PSICLNT010
Type: LS
The error we receive is:
no service for system SAPPSI, client 010 in Integration Directory
Shouldn't there be the Partner-Number like PSICLNT010?!
Can someone confirm and tell me if i am right?!

Yes it is possible,write simple RFC Function module,
create RFC Function module in development ,move it Quality or production.
now call the RFC Function module in se38 at Development and main rfc Destination.
so you will get the data from production or quality.

Ztable Entries Transport From Dev server to Qulaity

In the transport request add an entry
R3TR - TABU - <tablename>
chose program id R3TR then object type TABU and also the right table name.
But After this Process.. what i want to do.. which area that i want follow....
pls.. explain.

The blog mentioned before shows all details. If you want to transport all entries of your z-table then the value for the key depends on whether the table is client-dependent or not: Example client=100
- client dependent => key = '100*'
- client independent => key = '*'

Transport table entries directly from table with field added from append S

Guys, I have changes one standard table , I mean I use append structure and add a new field in to that . As this is T* ( text table ) , it also V ( view ) but as I change the field in T* table . I went in to table and maintain entries directly into table . After that I go to menu and select all the entries and as I want to push it to my test client . I create the entries and then I transport it to test . When I saw the table that entries were missing. Then I saw my existing transport in SE10 & SE09 and I notice it just transport the Keys fields content and its not transporting the new field content which I add as append structure .
Do you guys have any idea .how to transport those entries?

Itll behave in the same way , even you give "*" in your transport . Do one thing go to table, double click on your structure and once youre in structure <b>Go to->Extras->Enhancement category
And select radio button 1 or 2 and try again </b>

Hi,
You need to wrap your select statements in a RFC and use it in your program.
The destination should be your quality / production server.
Or you can use RFC_READ_TABLE.

SOAP Data source Function module table structure different from Dev to QA

Hi All,
I have generated SOAP data source in BWD and it created a ZOXBWD0117 structure and I am using this structure for XI proxy. But when I generate the same SOAP data source in BWQ, a different structure is created ZOXPBW0110.
Because of the structure changing from development to quality system my proxy transports are failed and I am not able to import my proxy changes.
Please advice how can I get same structure across all the systems?

LCM - copy (promote) jobs from DEV to TEST

Hi all!
I am searching for a way to copy the LCM jobs (to promote objects from DEV to TEST) from the DEV environment to the TEST environment.
Is there a way to do so? Or do I need to recreate the jobs on the TEST new, when I want to transfer the same objects from TEST to PROD?

And do you know, how an existing job can be refreshed?
I can create a job where a report is promoted from DEV to TEST. When the report now changes, so that a universe used is changed, the job itself is not updated.
The only way I found is to recreate the job again. If I can solve the refresh problem of a job, I could copy the jobs from DEV to TEST and exchange the logins from DEV -> TEST and from TEST -> PROD.

I have one query about table entries.

i have one query about table entries.
suppose for particular table we maintained 5 entries in dev server. actaully in the dev we have only these 5 entries.
In production we have 200 entries actually.
If we move the cts from dev to production ,we will get 205 entries right
please help me in this.

If i understood correctly, It is a Z table and you have done some changes in DEV system. If you move this to Production, it wont effect the production entries.
There are 2 different ways you can trnasport a Table. 1. with Table entries 2. Without table entries.
If you transport with Table entries then the DEV entries in this case 5 will be moved to PRODUCTION totaling 205.
If you transport without table entries, then in Production you will find only 200 entries.

TOBJ entries missing from upgrade dev and test systems

We are in the process of ECC Upgrade from 4.7 to ECC 6.0 and upgraded our dev and test systems. We missing some SAP defined object entries in TOBJ table from dev and test. Because of this some of the roles getting transport errors if the roles contain those missing objects. We tried to transport the missing entries but we don't see any provision for that. Does any one through an idea to move those missing entries from dev to test. Not sure we will get same error in production. This table updates during upgrade and may be we missed some thing in test as though we followed the same upgrade process for both systems.

Possibly you are no longer licensed for components which these objects are called from in their concepts.
In that case the ability to start the component objects should be removed as well.
Of course if some Z-programs checked these objects or SAP's own "package concept" extended syntax checks did not respect them then you might have problems.
This should normally only apply to manual authorization instances, as if you had upgraded the roles and regenerated them, then you would not have this problem (in the roles).
It tells us something about how you or someone else without any training have built these roles (or subsequently mucked them up...)...
When reading stuff like this, I am always of two minds...
1) SAP should make the concepts simpler and more intuitive to use without "cowboy" activities allowed by users with SAP_ALL etc.
2) Customers should bleed for their own sins for not training people appropriatly (here, faking CV's is also ma major pest!).
It is always a bit of a cat & mouse game and ends up in forums such as SDN in the long run.
Some of it might also have become "available" to be used by SAP (I believe it was the 6.20 upgrade which installed everything...).
Real bugger. I would accept it and test as best you can. You can also compare "where.used-lists" and "code scans" before and after the upgrade to see whether it is used by foreign repository objects.
The scan is more reliable here, as sometimes the object name itself is a variable from a data declaration or condition which you cannot see in the "procedural" code.

Transporting standard table from DEV to PROD

Hi All,
I have updated a table called T166K and T166P for Purchase Order Printouts.
I have entered few values in the above mentioned tables in DEV server.
Now, i would like to move these tables to Production, since i can not create values to these tables in Production server.
How to move tables from DEV till PROD...??
NOTE: While updating these tables, system didnt prompt for saving under Transport Request Numbers in DEV server.

Hi,
You can use scatt tool to upload the data in the developement server. Prepare a file with data. Do it in developement environment only. then in SCATT you have remote logon facility using which you can run the scatt in developement environment and the result will be placed in the production server.

Promotion of Object from Dev to QA

A quick question,
I developed a universe and webi report.
While creating UNX universe in IDT I created secure connection .cns
Now I want to promote all my objects from dev to qa for testing.
Do I need to promote connection as well or does it get promoted automatically when I promote universe (unx file)
I see lot of connections there when I go to Promotion management .
Will appreciate your help,

You may have to create ODBC/DSN similar to Dev in QA
First time when you promote UNX and reports, you have to promote connection too (By default all dependencies will be selected)
In Promotion Management -> Edit Job -> Manage Dependencies-> Check if you appropriate .cns connection is selected.

How I could transport table entries from table NRIV

Does anyone knows how I could transport table entries from table NRIV.
I can mark them in se16 but the "table entries"->"transport" is grey. What shouuld be done.
Is there another way to transport NRIV entries.

Goto SE01 -> Create Transport Request.
Assign the Workbench request/Project.
Single click the TR. Click on the DISPLAY OBJECT LIST or Press SHIFT + F11.
Click on CHANGE -> Insert.
PgmID Obj Object name
R3TR TABU NRIV
CLick Extras -> Change Object Function -> All entries.
Save.
Release the Tr.

Reagrding transporting of custom table entries from D to Q.

I am trying to transport couple of entries which I did using table maintainence in SM30. But when I go to Maintain option -> Table View -> Transport, I see the Transport option inactive.
Can someone tell me how to activate that option or how to move custom table entries from one system to other ?

1. For this purpose, the delivery class of that table should be C = Customizing.
(at present it would be A = Application)
2. This is done in se11 transaction.
3. After changing the delivery class, we have to RE-GENERATE
the table maintenance.
4. Then, whenever we do SM30, it will automatically ask for a request number.

First, tell me how you determine that these entries are 'obsolete'.
Removing master data from SCM can usually be done using transaction WUF; however, you have to ensure that it is not re-sent to the SCM system, or you are just wasting your time.
