For those of you who read the news storys, and watch T.V. there was a recall on HP notebook Batteries. Apperently, if you dont replace the battery, it will cause safety issues. What are these "safety issues" you ask? YOUR COMPUTER WILL CATCH ON FIRE.... Long story short, that was the compuiter i was using to update the ipod. Im going to recover the hard drive when i get a new notebook, but for now i want to add a few things to the ipod without totally screwing up my ID3's. I know i can take the programs and recover all my music off my ipod to another PC, but i dont want to....i have 54GB..you have any idea how long that takes? I know the referce for the ipod using a 4 character coding scheme for the song titles, like CGSG.mp3, and still includes the ID3 tags, and its put into some sort of organization in folders listed F01, F02. So on so forth, so say i just wanted to copy 2 or 3 songs, is there any way to copy them to the Ipod without using iTunes to do it, and copying my entire library to another PC?

Give examples of how it is slow.

It sounds like the LifeProof case may have leaked. Did you pay for the Waterproof protection? If so, you can file a claim with lifeproof, pay the deductable, and get a replacement.
If you didn't purchase the Waterproof guarantee, if you have Applecare Plus, $79.00 will get you a replacement. If you don't have AppleCare Plus, then this is a $269.00 replacement lesson.

Ive had my iphone 4s since 10th april and on three seperate occassions its switched itself off completely (whilst having battery) it then wont work for around 2 days, this is very annoying and I dont know what to do as its been out for around 12hours now

I don't know why my phone keeps switching itself off, I've never dropped it, had water damage nor any other damage to it. Ive had it for around 5 months or so now and it just likes to switch itself off for around 30-40 hours then work again as though nothing happened. Although this is great as it will eventually work its very frustrating not knowing if it will switch on again.. at the minute my phone hasnt worked for about 10-12 hours. I went in to the apple shop and they said they couldnt see me for over a week as they were fully booked, I understand that theyre busy but surely they can't expect me to go without a phone/alarm/email for that time when I am paying for it. Standard troubleshooting...
1. Try a Restart by pressing the sleep/lock button until you see the slider. Slide to power off. Restart by pressing the sleep/lock button until you see the Apple logo.
2. Try a Reset by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider if it comes up. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.
3. Remove apps from Recently Used list...
- From any Home Screen, double tap the home button to bring up the Recents List
- Swipe up on the app preview card
- Press the home button when done.
4. If still a problem restore with your backup.
5. If still a problem restore as new, i.e. without your backup. See how it runs with nothing synced to it.
6. If still a problem, it's likely a hardware issue.

Ive Had Problems With My Macbook Thank Goodness For Applecare

My Macbook white 2.0ghz 1GB Ram has had many problems since i bought it in may. The colour of the top case where the keyboard is has gradually turned form a lovely white colour too a grey and now a yellowey mess.
The average temp is 72c and so the macbook moos constantly, under pressure ive had the temp go up to 98c it nearly burnt me.
Ive updated the opertaing system to 10.4.7 and still the problem occurs.
So i decided enough is enough and so i rang apple care, i was on the phone for about 20 minutes and i had to speak to 2 diffrent people, and they where great they told me that they knew about the discoloration and they are sorting it out, he also said that even though they would fix anything they find is wrong the fans creating the moo may be fixed by a firmware update, and so he wouldnt be able to tell me if it would be fixed or not.
The huy told me that they would fix anything they find that has a fault for free because its still under a 90 day limited warrenty, they will be sending me a box on tuesday and he said that there is a repair center in the UK and so i could recieve the macbook back by friday.
How great is that im going to get my macbook back all problems repaired for free, and i know that these problems should have been sorted before they were shipped but im so please, my macbook will be great.

I had the same problems so like you I called apple and they sent me a box to send my macbook in. They said it would take 5-6 days but it only took two so they where ahead of the program. I now have a flawless macbook that runs like a champ!
The hottest that has gotten since the repair is 63'C and before I had gotten it up to 90'C.
It used to moooo all the time but now I haven't heard it make a sound.

I have an old ipod that i have not used in a very long time, ive had it on a charger now for over an hour and i still cnnot get my ipod to turn on, how can i fix my problem, i just downloaded the new version of itunes aswell, so i know its not my itunes.

i have an old ipod touch that i have not used in a very long time, and im having trouble gettign it to turn on. ive had it on a charger for over an hour now and still nothing hs changed. i just updated my itunes to the current version they haev so i know its not an itunes problem its rather a problem with the old ipod touch itself. im leaving for deployment soon and im trying to get this fixed without having to send it in. If anyone has any ideas on how to get this thing turned on it would be greatly appreciated.

Well, two thoughts.
The battery has completely discharged and will take overnight to recharge, so don't expect much in an hour.
The battery has deep discharged and is now dead. It will never recharge and should be replaced.

Ive had tunes downloaded on my PC for over 4 years. Currently when I login to my iTunes account it only lists 1 song on my playboard. I should have over 1000. When I log in on a different computer I can see the complete song list. Any ideas what to do?

Since this is the second computer you've had this problem with, I recommend you look for answers on the iPhone forum. My thinking is it is an iPhone issue rather than a computer issue (unless it is some software incompatibility).

thanks but if Im using iCloud For my Iphone and backing my ipod touch to my computer is that ok or would I have to back both up to ICloud. The cable carries the same warranty as the device with which it came. Bring it to Apple. If a hardware defect is noted (and not misuse) then the cable will be replaced.
