Ive put in the wrong email to verify my account, how do i change it

i have entered a wrong email as i was trying to download an app. i have only just got the phone today but i have an email for icloud that ive set up on a seperate part of my phone. can you help me please?

Do you mean that the email that comes up and asks for a password when you are attempting to download an app is not what you are expecting it to be? Is it your Apple/iTunes ID that is showing up?
The separate iCloud account that you have for your Mail account may or may not be the same as the Apple ID that you use in iTunes.
Can you clarify?

I have the same problem. I changed my email address with itunes, & the icloud website knows it too. but the icloud on my iphone still has the old one & wont allow me to change it. I just got my new I pad, entered all of my information.. after confirmingm y account I realized I had put in the wrong email address. I went on my laptop to change my apple id address, then went to my ipad to purchase an app and it still had my old(incrrect) email address. i just opened my ipad, started my apple account/I.D. and realized I put the wrong e mail. I was having trouble correcting my I.D on the Ipad so I went to my laptop and make the proper changes/slash e mail address I wanted for my apple ID. I got back to my ipad and try to download an app I can't because I have to sign in my apple account and I can't because it still has the irrelivant I.D/email address..
So, i did what you said.. went to setting>app store> tapped on my e mail.. it asked me to sign in (with my invalid emails address showing). I signed in with the password I had created. It said "incorrect".. I went to reset password. I reset password, tried to sign in and it says again "unvalid password".. this is getting irritating. I have been asking and no one knows what to do.

Who is the email provider? Not all accounts can be set up as POP3

I know it sounds weird, and that is the reason I posted my question. Because my case is not like all the ones I've found online and it's confusing. I added a screen capture of my itunes with my old iphone (the one that houses my playlists) connected to it.
My playlists "ARE" in my iphone 4s. They are still there even though they do not show up when I plug in to itunes in my computer.
When connecting my phone to itunes on my macbook, the playlists do not appear anywhere in itunes. I have found my connected iphone icon, I have clicked on the arrow next to it and it does pull up the standard lists that come with the iphone/itunes: Music, Movies, TV shows, books. That's it! below that is "Genius" and below "Geniuns" is "PLAYLISTS" but the only playlist of mine that shows there is one that I created several years back titled "90's music" and that one I created it on my computer, not my phone. Under "90's music" there are also other standard playlists that itunes automatically adds.
Does anyone else have this issue or know how to get around this. I am starting to think that I am going to have to recreate these lists on my computer

What exactly do you want to sync? Ideally, each phone should use its own Apple ID to keep contacts, messages, etc. separate. You wouldn't want to share your contacts and have him accidentally delete one off of his phone which would remove from yours as well.
If you want to share apps, you can do that by having him log out of iTunes & App Store and logging in with your ID on that app only.

The HT1541 page that you posted from has instructions for how to resend a gifts from your iTunes account - assuming that the address that you originally sent it to doesn't exist and it hasn't been redeemed.

Launch iTunes. Select iTunes Store on the left side of the iTunes window.
From the menu bar click Store / View My Account.
Click: Edit Payment Information
You can change the phone number there. Make sure and click Done when you're finished.
