Every 8-24 Seconds in playback in Winamp or Media Player etc.. with Mp3s i get a quick chop sound, then it goes back to playing normal.. Dri'ves me insane, i just started noticing it proabbaly in the last few months
I updated my drivers for sigmatel, creative, Extened Virtual Memory, Buffering, Winamp Tweaking with direct sound, nullsoft, device manager..
and i just cant figure out how to fix this, i've tried restore points but for some reason they dont load correctly, my last straw is to reinstall windows which is a pain..
Can anyone give me help before i go this route?!

I dont know all the specs of my computer ... it is a brand new one, only a few months old.. like i said dell XPS m70 so whatever that is..
Its a Very powerful machine, cost me over 5k.. and like i said its also kept very clean, with minimal processes running etc..

Hi,
I solved it, and I'm posting the solution here for someone else. It has to do with the Turbo mode on the Core i7 processor.
I happened to notice that the jump happened during a period of no video on the timeline, and I saw that the playhead literally jumped back, which led me to conclude that this had nothing to do with GPU, but was related to the timebase. I searched the Adobe forums for posts related to a jumping playhead, and found a guy who said that the Turbo mode on the Core i7 processor messes with Premiere's timebase, and the playhead jump is a correction for it.
Switch do regular High Performance mode, and video is completely smooth.
Thank God I didn't go out and buy new video cards and tore the computer apart and did clean installs as was suggested. But it's pure luck, that would have been my next step.

Ive tried everything NO SLEEP FOR IMAC
Ok so I think ive tried everything to get my imac to sleep by itself according to the energy saver preferences but its just not having it. Unplugged every USB device, uninstalled HP printer drivers, reset the smc or whatever that thing is called but still to no avail. If theres a third party download to put it to sleep please send it my way....anything, i find this very obnoxious because other members of my family take it upon themselves to use my computer and then its awake for hours for no reason ahh please help

Flah player is not working and ive tried everything
Ok, so i have installed the latest flash player but its still not working on sites likes e4.com/skins, the videos there will not play. This is weird because ive watched videos on the site before.
Ive tried uninstalling and reinstalling with the app adobe gives u to completely remove it but nothing is working. Ive checked that the flash player has installed properly by checking on the adobe website and everything is working fine. The add ons are all enabled and so on.
The video on the website loads with a black screen where the video should be but nothing happens.
This is getting very annoying, help would be nice.
I am on windows vista and im using internet explorer 8. The videos also dont work on safari or firefox even though i have got flash player for those browsers. Ive tried scanning my computer to see if i have any virusis but bit defender says im clean.In view and manage add ons these two were the only two there,

The java entries are java 6 update 6 and java 6 update 18 and the flash player 10 activex is listed.

Hi, Using IE find "View and manage your internet explorer add-ons">all add-ons. Look for Shockwave Flash Object...
ActiveX Control....Flash10d.ocx and ensure that it is enabled.
In FF, look for SWF vs 10.0.42.34 and ensure that it is enabled.
Go to C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash. Open the Flash folder and post back every entry that is listed there.
In Programs and Features post back the Java entries with version #'s and while you are there just note that Flash Player 10 ActiveX is listed.
If you have any questions or need info to obtain the Flash folder info, just post back.

make sure your iPhone is disconnected, open task manager, click on the processes tab, and find itunes.exe or something that says iTunes and right click it and click end process, then close task manager, and open iTunes. Should work

Here's an answer from the net:
Go to Settings/Mail,contacts,calendars/Add account choose other, choose Add Mail Account. Fill in name, email address, password and description on the screen that comes up. Save those.
One the next screen tat comes up click om POP in the first line then fil in the host name as
spop.west.cox.net or spop.east.cox.net or the one to go with your region.
Note that is not a misprint, that is spop (secure pop)
Fill in your username one more time (the password should have carried over from previously)
Fill in your outgoing mail server like smtp.west.cox.net (change for your region) and click Save.
When all the settings are verified a checkmark will appear next to them all and you are good to go.
If it says something like "can't connect via SSL would you like to ..." then you probably missed the step about selecting POP on the second screen and are trying IMAP so go back and try over with POP. Or perhaps mistyped soemthing.
Once everything is working you can go back into the settings and see that it has automatically connected on port 995 and that SSL is on
Note that you probably won't be able to send email from a wifi in a cafe or similar as cox won't let you connect to their smtp from outside their network.
I haven't tried receiving mail from a non cox connected wifi yet but I suspect it will work just fine. Anyway these settings work for me using my ipod to my home wifi router connected to cox.
I could not find a definitive guide when I searched so I hope this helps other folks trying to configure this.

- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.

- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. Seems you have a bad headphone jack.

If not under warranty Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for this price. They do not fix yours.

All of a sudden my Iphone 4 shut off amd will not TURN ON AT ALL. Ive tried everything from holding the buttons to plugging in the usb to a computer and opening my Itunes. I cant get it to turn on...Please anythoughts???
