Iview contents missing when using FQDN Cisco Load Balancer

Hello Experts,
We are using Cisco load balancer to distribute the load across the portal servers. Everything was working fine, but after upgrades to the latest support package stack SP18, we ran into some odd behavior. Some of the contents on the iview are blank when using FQDN load balancer URL e.g. http://sap1234.corp.com/irj/portal . But those blank contents does show up if we donu2019t use FQDN e.g. http://sap1234./irj/portal . At this point we are not sure where to start troubleshooting?
Any helps would be appreciated,

Cisco load balancer?

Just curious if anybody has tried using a Cisco load balancer with Directory Server (5.x.) Specifically:

(They start out talking about web, but if you look further down you'll see they also support LDAP.)
Here's my thought: get two 5.x servers in multi-master configuration behind one of these Cisco products. That way applications that like to cache DNS info on the LDAP server they should be using won't get confused if one of the hosts is taken down for upgrades/whatever. Thoughts?
I guess the other way to handle this would be to run Sun Cluster + necessary stuff for LDAP. Any unbiased opinions as to which approach might be better? ;-)

Or use the Directory Proxy (aka iDAR)...
We have customers using the Cisco load balancer with Directory server 5. Others are using iDAR, others use Sun Cluster... Can't tell which approach is better.
The only issue I forsee with a load balancer in front of 2 masters, is that it may increase the risks of conflicts if the servers are not fully synchronized (such as under heavy load).

Flash player controls missing when using embedding in HTML

I have just created a Flash movie with a .flv file in flash cs4 when playing the .swf file we can see the controls of the player, when I use the html code the player controls are missing.
it is missing when using the HTML that is generated with in flash as well.

Hi,
Please check that your swfobject.js file is located where your .swf file and.html file are published. Your .swf file, .html file and swfobject.js should be placed on the same folder.
In my Flash CS4 the code generated in the HTML file is different and is having 318 lines of code. But the code which you pasted below looks different. If you are not able to see the flash content only in HTML file then it might be active content blocking. Please refer the link which provides fix for active content blocking manually.

Panel contents overlap when using borderSkin style and layout=absolute

Records are Missing when we run Delta Load( FIGL-ACCOUNT ITEMS)

Some records are missing when we run Delta load.
We have one generic data source on FAGLFLEXA table.
We select Field nm TIMESTAMP
TIME STAMP IS LOCAL.
upper limit is Blank
Lower limit is 1000.
we run this process chain every day.
we select delta settings is New status for changed records.
Please give me any idea why records are missing when we run deltas.

Hi Anju,
Please ensure that you are following the below steps while Initilizing the application 13:
1. All the users in source system, must be locked.
2. Ensure that SMQ1 and RSA7 are having no data for application 13. Delete the application 13 datasource entries from RSA7.
3. Delete and refill the setup tables for application 13.
4. Run a INIT with data transfer load for the required datasources of application 13.
5. The Deltas can follow from the next day.
This will ensure that your deltas are fetching correct data. Note that, delta will pick up the same conditions on which the INIT load was run.

Cisco Load balancer and Web Dispatcher to the same portal

Hello Experts,
We have implemented intranet portal with Cisco as the load balancer. Now we need to expose this intranet to the outside world as an extranet portal. So the same portal will be accessed from both intranet and from outside. We are thinking of installing a web dispatcher in the DMZ so that outside users can access the Web Dispatcher URL to access the intranet portal. In effect intranet users will use load balancer and extranet users will use Web Dispatcher to access the same portal. Now my question is if we configure Load Balancer and Web Dispatcher to the same portal, will the portal be able to load balance properly? Is this the right approach?

We need to provide access to our intranet to some outside companies for them to also use some of our portal applications. As per your answer, I understand that I can configure Web Disptacher to talk to the Cisco Load Balancer of our portal. In this case Web Dispatcher will work just as a reverse proxy. But when I discussed this with one of our basis resource, he told me that when we install and configure Web Dispatcher, it always ask for the Message Server URL and Port number, even if I just want to use Web Dispatcher as a Reverse Proxy. If his concerns are valid, I do not think I will be able to configure Web Dispatcher to access the cisco Load Balancer because I cannot put Cisco load banacer URL and port instead of the Message Server URL and Post Number. Can you kindly share your comment on the same?
Now the second part of my question, if Web Dispatcher cannot be configured to talk to Load Balancer(as mentioned by our basis resource), I will have to use two load balancers. One web Dispatcher in DMZ as a Load Balancer *** Reverse Proxy for the external users. Second the internal Cisco Load Balancer for the intranet users. So the same portal will be accessed by two load balancers. My question here is, in this set up, can the portal work efficieintly here by distributing equal loads two both the server instances?

let's say you have 2 servers for your portal:
host1 -> e.g. DB, SCS + CI --> http://host1.my.company:50000/irj/portal
host2 -> DI --> http://host2.my.company:50000/irj/portal
Now you can implement an CISCO hardware load balancer. You have to connect it to your network and reserve one port and another ip adress of it for the portal.
After that you have to add the ip adress of the both servers (host1+host2) to this port, so that the CISCO load balancer knows to which servers it has to forward the incoming connections.
If you use DNS in your company you can now map a more user-friendly name to the CISCO port (e.g. http://portal.my.company:50000/irj/portal) and distribute this link to the users of the portal.
When they connect to the portal via this link the CISCO load balancer will forward the request to one of the configured servers (host1 or host2) depending which one is online and/or the load of them.

FDM keeps give me DCOM Security Error when I configure the Load Balance

I installed FDM on the Windows 2008 Server.
When I configure the Load Balance Server for FDM.
It keeps give me error:
Unable to create Load Balance Manager Object!
Please verify that the user name, password, and domain name are correct.
However, I am pretty sure the user name and password input are correct.
I have tried the solution provides on Oracle Support. And changes the DCOM component's security settings.
However, the issue is still existed.

If after clearning out the security on the DCOM object and attempting to reset the Load Balance Config the same issue occurs, you will need to un-install FDM using the EPM System Un-installer and reboot. Following the reboot you will then choose to install FDM again, configure FDM using the EPM System Configuration utility, and then reset the FDM configuration items.

We use F5 for loadbalancing, but all hardware loadbalancing solutions should similar. They offer multiple algorithms, we use simple round robin (SAP's webdispatcher has better options for load balancing). You create virtual IP to your CISCO loadbalancer. You then configure Cisco to route traffic to each portal application server. If you have CI + 2 appservers, you configure the loadbalancer to send traffic to cihost:port, appserver1:port, appserver2:port. You also create a DNS alias to the virtual IP of the loadbalancer. End users will use the DNS alias to connect your portal. Typically you use standard ports (80 & 443) on Cisco, so that end user URL does not contain any ports (so http traffic goes to port 80, https goes to port 443). You also need to enable cookie persistence on the load balancer for session persistence.
For external facing portal, you need to have your loadbalancer in DMZ and you want to use SSL. You also need to setup firewall rules for your portal and backend servers.

I have configured ldap on a different ports than the 389 and 636. How do I configure this port to be allowed on the Cisco load balancer. I'm a newbie to cisco load balancer. Is there any specific configuration to be followed to set the customized port on the load balancer ?

By default, ACE denies all traffic coming to an interface and you need to define ACL's to allow traffic. You can define an extended ACL to allow the traffic from IP's, TCP/UDP ports etc. Please visit the below for details about ACL configuration on ACE.

Is it possible to use Apache with load-balancer ?

Hello,
I'd like to know if it's possible to set up a load-balancing solution made of: Apache Web Server + Hardware Load Balancer+ Cluster of Weblogic Nodes.
In the documents I see Apache server is used only with the HTTP Proxy plugin. But I'd like to use the hardware load balancer to ditribute load to Weblogic nodes.
Is it possible to do it ?

Want to hear about vCAC when used with Cisco UCS Director... How are you seeing this done?

I have a client that has both VMware vCloud Automation Center, and Cisco UCS Director.
They wish to constuct a net-new (Greenfield) data center and are hearing from both VMware and Cisco.
I have researched, and found little regarding the merger of the two.
I realize that very likely vCAC is teh "main" management platform, while Cisco UCSD will handle the more "physical hardware" tasks.
REST API's will be leveraged as well.
What have you seen written and done in this space when using BOTH?
Please send me any thoughts or links to relevant data.
I am having a hard time locating good data so that I an advise the client in a good way.

just to illustrate what mess this is, I tested for you on Leopard (10.5) and Snow Leopard (10.6) using the same wide gamut monitor. Here are two screenshots from that experiment. I converted the screenshots from my display profile to sRGB to show you what I see and scaled down 50% (this is a 30" behemoth). First Leopard.
You see they are all the same, but different from the sRGB export you provided. The GB sticker is too blue and the tint on the car is wrong. I doubt anybody but a photographer would notice though.
Next is Snow Leopard:
Here the 320 pixel, the 480 pixel and the 960 pixel image are different from the 720 pixel, the 720p and the 1080p ones. Neither is strictly correct as they are all different from the sRGB display. This is consistent with their being no real color management, just gamma corrections and color space transforms (video is usually not stored as RGB but as YUV, necessitating a transform for display). Annoying, but not much you can do about it.
Just doing some quick googling I came across many mentions of issues such as this. It clearly is just a big mess.

We are implementing SD, FI (using New Gral Ledger), PS, CO and MM in a company that sells projects. Therefore we're posting everything to the WBS elements.
We need to post the revenue values to the WBS elements too.
The problem is that when we create a sales order for RR indicating a WBS element and try to save it, the system activates the incompletion log saying that the provision account is missing, despite the account is in VKOA.
The strange thing is that if we use a material with profit center (without any WBS or order indication in the sales order) all the revenue recognition process runs perfectly (we save the order, VBREVK is fullfiled, VF44 is run and the invoice is done correctly).
Does anybody know why when using a WBS element in the sales order, SAKN2 field is not fullfiled and the incompletion log is activated???
Is it a program error? Or are we doing something wrong?
Quick responses will be apreciated since we need to move on within two weeks!

Email send issue using "Mail Server Load balancer" (Cisco ACE 20)

Please let me know if someone have experienced this kind of issue or any suggestions.
The send email action was working file in MII with smtp mail server on port 25. Recently basis did a change in mail server ip address and they installed a new Load Balancer . The Load balancer is between SMTP and MII. After this change MII does not send email (unknown source error). now MII send email action has ip address or qualified path of Load balancer in MII send email configuration instead of direct ip address of SMTP server. Below is the error message in Net Weaver logs.
MII still sends email if direct ip address of email server provided but not through email Load balancer .
Any suggestions ?

Send Email issue using "Mail Server Load balancer" (Cisco ACE 20)

I have asked this question in SAP MII forum too but it appears issue could be in NetWeaver Mail API. Please let me know if someone have experienced this kind of issue or any suggestions.
The send email action was working file in MII with smtp mail server on port 25. Recently basis did a change in mail server ip address and they installed a new Load Balancer . The Load balancer is between SMTP and MII. After this change MII does not send email (unknown source error). now MII send email action has ip address or qualified path of Load balancer in MII send email configuration instead of direct ip address of SMTP server. Below is the error message in Net Weaver logs.
MII still sends email if direct ip address of email server provided instead of Email Load balancer but not through Load balancer .
Any suggestions ?

I don't have experience with Blackberry, but, as the document mentions, the first thing to do would be making sure that the connection timeout is set to something high enough
