IView in an full screen external window

i've configured an iview to be opened in an external window.
it works well but i can't find how to automatically maximized this new window?

You could set the "window features" property of the iview as you would do in a window.open() method usage in javascript.
In the window.features you could say 'fullscreen=yes'. However, beware that if you do fullscreen=yes then you will not have the browser window features like close button, minimize, restore buttons. So if you have ot go to another screen you have to do an ALT + TAB.
or you could fix the starting point of hte window to 0,0 on the screen so that it starts at the left-top corner of the screen. To do that you have to set left=0, top=0 in the "Window Features" property apart from the height and width properties.

Full Screen Browser Window

When i publish for full screen, I don't get a true full
screen browser window. I get a browser window that is supposed to
be large enough for the Captivate file but it's not always working
depending on the computer. I would like have the html file launch a
true full screen browser window no matter what resolution the user
has. Any html gurus know what i can change in the html file to make
that happen?

Have you done a search for "full screen" in these forums? I
think you'll find that there are different approaches, depending on
your definition of full screen.
None of these solutions is perfect from what I've seen as
we're forced to deal with what the browser vendors will allow in
this "more secure" day and age.

How do I open an iview in a FULL pop up window

I am trying to open an iview in a new window, and I want to display this new window in full page. I tried "FULL_PAGE" in the drop down option for Height Type. But it didn't work. I know that you can display the pop window in a full screen mode in "Window Features" field in the iview, but full screen is not what I am looking for. I want to make the window maximized instead of full screen (which won't have the "x" close button).
Please help! Thanks in advance.

Have you tried changing iView property <b>Launch in New Window</b> to <b>Display in Separate Window</b>?
Also you can do it using java script as,

Firefox 4, installed, It was opening Yahoo Contact List full screen, vice "window". Removed 4 and restalled 3.6 to solve problem.

Used 4 about six weeks and twice it opened the address book on Yahoo in full screen instead of "window" style. The first time it all of sudden opened to full screen. About three days later it by it self returned to window by itself. three weeks later it restarted again with full screen. ran this way for six days. I reloaded 3.6 and have not had a problem since. I did run Yahoo on IE and Google Chrome with no problem.

I have this same problem. Firefox 4 on 10.6.7 on a 2009 unibody Macbook Pro.
I've noticed that I only have the problem when I'm using multiple monitors and my Firefox 4 window is to the left of the Mac OS X Menu Bar.
My typical arrangement is: laptop monitor with firefox 4 window TO THE LEFT OF external Dell 24 inch monitor with Mac OS X Menu bar.
Moving my Firefox 4 window to the external monitor allows me to open a window.

Open .swf in full-screen browser window?

Hi there! I would appreciate if someone could help me with this:
I have a .swf that I embed in an .html file. When loaded, the html file opens up in a window with the application taking up only 50% of the window. I'd like to have the application open in a window that's full screen. Is that possible at all?
The .html file I'm using is a standard one generated by Captivate and looks like this:

What do mean by browser window?
If you mean the File>Open dialog, double click on the Title bar to get it back to a smaller size.

Mail In Full Screen Closes Window after Sending

I love using mail in full screen.
When I send a new message or reply to a message the Mail window closes out of the full screen and closes the mail window. How do I get the window to stop closing after I send or reply?

I found out what is was. I had serial mail try to send about 200 emails. Something went wrong (not sure whether it is lion compatible) and there were a load of unsent emails somewhere in the background. Funny thing was they were not showing anywhere, just when I tried to close window, an unsent message popped up.
Anyway, force quit mail as I could not be bothered to find out how many mails had not been sent, and on reopening all back to normal

Since updating a day ago, Firefox will not open on full screen on Windows 7

Accessing from taskbar on Windows 7 shows its open but will not open on full screen. And its also affected my Quicken program, doing the same thing. I uninstalled and reinstalled, still same problems. Did the updates affect my computer? And adobe was updated at the same time. I spent two hours w/ Quicken support, problem still exists. The only change that was made to the computer was the Mozilla update.

Right-click on the shortcut used to open Firefox and select Properties. If you get a Windows Jump list when you right click, right-click on the Firefox entry in the jump list and select properties.
In the Shortcut tab of the properties dialog box, set the Run option to Maximized, then click OK to save the settings.
You can do this for any program.

Merge two full-screened safari windows' bug under lion

Hi there,
After installed lion, i found an obviously bug in safari.
1. Open safari, enter full-screen mode.
2. Creat a new safari window (not a new tab), then it will moved into a other full-screen automaticlly.
3. Click in menu bar : window>merge all windows.
4. And here you go, two widows will be merged into one full-screen without the 'quit full-screen mode' buttom, and the other full-screen 'desktop' will be blank with only background. And the mission control died also XD

Flash Player does not launch full screen upon Windows restart

We have a Flash application file (flash.exe file) saved on the Desktop of our client's 46" touchscreen. We've created a shortcut to the application in the Windows Start/All Programs/Startup menu as we have 4 reboots scheduled during the day for this application. Upon reboot, the application does not launch full screen but if I cancel out of the application through the Task Manager and go to the Startup menu and double click the shortcut to the exe file, the application launches full screen. The size of the screen and application is 1920x1080.
Other information:
Windows XP SP3
Flash Player 10
(Please note I have fixed the Window System Error that you see in this screen shot)

You are probably inadvertently swiping to another full-screen app. Are you using a magic trackpad? Does this happen without you touching anything?

Keyboard access to PS CS6 Menu Bar in Full Screen Mode (Windows)

I'm looking to find a way to access Photoshop Menus in Full Screen Mode by pressing the Alt+(any of the underlined Menu Keys).
The alternative I've been using is pressing the Tab key to show the Menu and Panels, or simply toggling Screen Modes (f key or Shift+f) but that negates the purpose of Full Screen Mode. I followed the instructions on this post to no avail:

My safari window is disappearing in non full screen mode OSX Lion

Hi Guys,
I seem to have the following problem. not sure exactly how it started as my wife was using the mac at the time (she says she just dragged the safari to different desktop via mission control) but now the situation is as follows:
When I hit safari icon it switches on (I can see the little light dot underneath the icon and after right click I can see names of windows that are opened) however I can only see the Safari menu at the top but no window. If I scroll to the right or left to different desktops it's not there, the same goes if I double tap to see the Mission Control mode it's not there...
I so far figured out that once the Safari menu is visible on top of the screen I can go to View>Enter Full Screen and then Safari will come back into the full screen mode but once I unclick the full screen button in right top corner the whole window just swoops into the right top corner and it's nowhere to be found again.
I have rebooted and it's still the same - I can only get the full screen mode or none. it's very weird. Anyone's got any suggestions?

That's not it - Hot corners are not active, it's more like when you normally click the full screen on/off button (the two arrows facing each other) the transition happens with gray apple background and it moves either to or from full screen but here the background comes on and the window just goes into the corner and it's gone. Then when in Safari menu I go View>Enter Full Screen the window comes back exactly the same way: from top right corner into the whole screen.
Like I can only use Safai in Full Screen mode..

Full screen windows 7 taskbar bug

Since the recent install of Flash Player 11 (v11,1,102,55) there was irritating problem on the laptop of my wife. When YouTube flash video were put in full screen the Windows 7 taskbar would remain visible.
The laptop screen is 1920 x 1200 so standard the DPI setting of the display is put to 150. If I would put the DPI to the standard setting the taskbar will disappear with full screen video but then everything is too small in windows. At first I did not release it could a problem with the Flash Player but when I did come to that conclusion I had to apply the following to the plugin-container program which is situated in the webbrowser install folder. In this case Mozilla Firefox.
After selecting the properties of plugin-container I went to the compatibility tab and put a flag in the option "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings". This basically solved the annoying problem but frankly such a sloppy fault in a commonly used program like Flash Player should not be there. I advise Adobe to correct this in the next version. There are quite a lot people these days who have laptops with HD resolution so fix it!
In the mean time I hope this will be of help to people who have a similar problem.

Oh thank God. I've been struggling with this very issue for months with my task bar obscuring Flash video in full-screen, which really sucks since that's where the video controls are.
I knew it was the DPI setting and I'm absolutely flabbergasted that Adobe hasn't accounted for this on a piece of software that is pretty much essential to using the internet and when most people are using HD displays.
After reading this fix, I immediately browsed to C:\Program Files(x86)\Mozilla Firefox and right clicked Properties on the plugin-container application. Right there on the Compatibility tab is the option Disable scaling on high DPI settings. Checked the box and imediatly full-screened the first flash video I could find. Problem solved, didn't even have to reboot the browser.

HT2506 Preview is now opening full screen always. Want it window size

All of a sudden, Preview is opening images in Full Screen only. It used to open in a window. I have looked everywhere to change this back from full screen to window size. I have checked the Preferences and Get Info. Please help and tell Apple to quit messing around with our apps. :-) So annoying.

Press the escape (esc) key to exit full-screen mode. Close all windows. Quit and relaunch Safari. Does the same thing happen?

Windowed to Full-screen takes 3 attempts

I'm working on a program, and one of the features I want is to be able to toggle between Full-screen and Windowed modes. I've searched these forums (and google) and saw a lot of the bug issues with full-screen implementations were from JDK 1.4, but haven't found if those bugs still exist. I also haven't found anyone that's encountering quite the same problem I'm having, which is:
When changing the window (JFrame) from windowed mode to full-screen, it does a minimize-maximize loop 3 times before it finally goes full-screen.
I thought it might've been related to the many other parts of the code I had written to handle this (namely key events for global hotkeys), but in the following demo which is a watered-down version of what I'm doing, I still get the same problem. Only difference between this and the actual program is the actual program uses an input-action mapping instead of a button.

}I tried messing with the graphicsDevice.setDisplayMode method, but in examples I've seen, it made the whole screen go black and to the specified resolution of the supplied display mode. I'd rather keep the native resolution regardless of being in full-screen or windowed mode, and instead of having the setDisplayMode(origDisplayMode) in both the windowed and full-screen declarations, I just removed it (with no seemingly ill effects).
I also tried removing the setFullScreenWindow(this) and just resized the JFrame to the current resolution, removed the decorations, removed the ability to resize it, and set it at the upper left corner, and this was a step closer to what I wanted. There were no minimize-maximize incidents, however the start bar was still on top. Reading the javadoc said if fullscreen mode wasn't supported that it would simulate it (which could be the case as the computer I'm testing it on has integrated graphics).
Any help would be appreciated.
