I referred this thread [https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/thread?threadID=188079|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/thread?threadID=188079] and removed the .bak extension from the file com.sap.portal.support.browse.par.bak and uploaded it in System Administration --> Support --> Support Desk --> Portal Runtime --> Administration Console ,in the Archive uploader.
But the problem persists. Could anybody shed some light on this issue?

Hi Saurabh
In order to get more information, you should search for your exception id "04:45_02/10/08_0037_13390350" in the default trace file.
See http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/57/5f1140d72dc442e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm in order to see where the def trace file is found.

Hello Experts!
I've installed MDM 5.5 SP6 along with the portal content that came from the same download. The portal content files I installed are listed below.
BPMDMAPPLI06_0.sca
BPMDMTECHN06_0.sca
MDM_WEB_UI550.sca
MDMJAVAAPI06_0.sca
When I try to get a new MDM system I get the exception below. I've looked and searched the portal content and this iView (com.sap.pct.mdm.tech.systems.MDMSystemWizard) does indeed appear to be missing. Is there something else I need to install? The SCA files all deployed without errors.
Steps to recreate this error:
System Administration => System Configuration => Portal Content => (landscape directory)
=> Right-Click => New System (from template) => choose MDM System template => Next
Thanks,
John

This is a bit embarrassing to admit but I had some serious finger trouble here and managed to deploy a new par file with name com.sap.portal.support.browse.par. This of course fu..ed up my browsing functionality in the support area and I need to deploy the original.
I tried to find it in my production portal, but I can't seem to be able to find the right location to download it from. Can anyone help.
I am on portal 7.0 sps 15.
HenningHi,
You can find com.sap.portal.support.browse.par par at ROOT/WEB-INF/deployment/temp on the portal production server. Then you can deploy it to the development system.

Rgds,
AbhijeetHi All,
I Found the Solution.
The SAPinst tool was somehow not able to extracte the
J2EEINSTALL.SAR files from the JAVA Components DVD.
So I manually extracted the the file in the temporary install folder which the SAPinst creates in the /tmp filesystem (on LINUX by deafult) during the installation process.
The following command is used (I used this on Red Hat LINUX 5.2) to extract the J2EEINSTALL.SAR file:-
/sapmnt/SMD/exe/SAPCAR
-xvf /dump/SR4_Java_Components/D51033521/DATA_UNITS/JAVA_J2EE_OSINDEP_J2EE_INST/J2EEINSTALL.SAR
/sapmnt/SMD/exe/SAPCAR -->source directory of the file SAPCAR which is used to extarct CAR / SAR files on UNIX
/dump/SR4_Java_Components/D51033521/DATA_UNITS/JAVA_J2EE_OSINDEP_J2EE_INST/J2EEINSTALL.SAR--> destination dir. where the SAPinst tool will read and execute the file.

rahulHello,
Please check the JVM-settings as per note
1024539 (including the environment-variables and APARS).
For some reason the 'migmon.jar' - file can no longer
be found in your installation directory
It might be sufficient to copy the archive 'MIGMON.SAR' from your
master-cd (subdirectory IM_AIX_PPC64/COMMON/INSTALL) to your
installation directory and extract the archive there by 'SAPCAR -xvf
If the problem persists
apply the latest patch as per note

Hi experts,
We had an issue with portal access. I wonder if portal is venerable for security threats?
Could you please let me how to restrict the unauthorized users (anonymous user) to the portal URL.
https://HOST:50001//irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.portal.navigation.portallauncher.default .
Appreciate your help.
Regards
MarutiHi Maruti,
Hope you are doing good.
Can't you just amend the portal permissions so that this access is not possible.
The PCD location should be:
com.sap.portal.system/security/sap.com/NetWeaver.Portal/no_safety/com.sap.portal.navigation.portallauncher....
Hope this helps.
Thank you and have a nice day!

Iviews not working in SAP Portal in DHTML viewer
Hi
We are using BOXI 3.0 with SAP Integration Kit with SAP R/3 and SAP Portal. We are implementing Single Sign On from SAP Portal to BOXI 3.0 and have created few iviews in SAP Portal pointing to the reports in BOXI 3.0.
The Single Sign On works fine when the viewer in the Iview is selected as Java or Activex Viewer but goes in the logon loop when the viewer is selected as html_frame(i.e dhtml viewer).Have followed the installation and user guides very closely as well.Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks and Regards
KamalHi Ji
Thanks for your reply.Yes we are using the master iview templates provided in the XI R3 media.
There are few things noticed in this case which I would like to point out:
1)Our environment is a distributed environment where Server 1 is the BO Server and Server 2 is the Web Server.
2)When we are trying to the run the sample iviews(Alert and Thumbnail) we are getting the error as below:
"Error: Server not found or server maybe down (FWM 01003) null"
Point to note here is that this error is reproduced when the CMS System is selected/entered wrongly but how come the message is showing Server02 which is the webserver instead of Server01.
3)When we trying to run Iview template it is redirected to login loop where the SAP Authentication is not seen.

Documentation missing about iView properties of com.sap.portal.masthead
Hi,
I configure the available links in the portal masthead. When switching "Show Link in Masthead: Help Center" (property ID: ShowHelpCenterLink) from "No" to "Yes" I get the link "Help Center" in the portal header, but when clicking the link nothing happens.
Is there any documentation how to use/implement this feature?
Best regards,
JohannesHi Keshari
I already provided a valid URL but this URL is only being launched when I choose the property "Show Link in Masthead: Help" (ID: ShowHelpLink).
What I noticed is that when I click on the "Help Center" link in the header, the currently displayed page gets compressed creating about 1/3rd empty space on the page on the right hand side.
How can I configure that help gets displayed in this area?
For "help center" I only found some ABAP-related documentation (http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70ehp1/helpdata/en/c2/00976e34ef4397b082acb7d934d373/frameset.htm) which does not contain any Portal related configuration.

How to download com.sap.portal.navigation.contentarea par file
I am trying to download the com.sap.portal.navigation.contentarea par file so that I can modify it and upload it with a new name. I found the file in the Support Desk of the portal, and I downloaded it just fine. However, when I download it it was in the form of com.sap.portal.support.browse.zip. I tried to extract the files from there, and I came up with com.sap.portal.support.browse.
How can I get this in the form of a par file to import into NWDS? I have imported par files into NWDS before, but I nothing I am trying is working, because I can't get it into the .par or .par.bak formats.
Thanks,
OwenOK done...
I am doing it and explaining you step by step same time...
1. logged in to portal -> system administration -> support -> ROOT/WEB-INF/deployment/pcd
2. clicked download link beside com.sap.portal.navigation.contentarea.par.bak file.
3. downloaded/saved to my desktop
4. Now I have file com.sap.portal.support.browse.default on my local machine.
5. Right click on this . default file and select Add to "com.sap.portal.support.browse.default.rar" --- this is the important step...*
6. Now you have com.sap.portal.support.browse RAR / ZIP file (no extension will be added, you can check it by file format).
7. Keep on double clicking on rar file till you see .bak file.
8. Once you are at / you see com.sap.portal.navigation.contentarea.par.bak then right click on this file and select "Exctract to specified folder" ...
9. Change the path to where you want to store .bak.
10. rename it to .par by removing .bak.
That is it... its all yours to modify/customize...
Hope this is clear to you.... let me know If you see anymore issues.
As you asked for... I have done it in my system and writing it to you....

Roger Allué i Vall.Hi Xavier,
I would recomend you to do these steps.
1. Import the Par inside NWDS ( Make sure u have the Jars inside the Lib).
2. Do the modification.
3. try to Deploy using some different name.
4. Check the deployed using portalapp.xml ( defualt component).
5.Now if it looks fine you can proceed ahead by changing the autheschemes.xml
Refer to this blog
Modifying The Logon Par(or customising the Logon Screen)

Hi everybody,
I have problems with a portal page that has two .par iviews. These iviews use the EP Client Framework to display content when I click a node (htmlb tree control) in the sender iview. When the page is idle for a while and I click a node, the exception "Iview not found" appears in the receiver iview and I have to refresh it.
This is the error message in the portal log:

BEx Web Application iView not found
Hello,
Any BEx Web Application iView that I create in the portal and try to run ends with an error. This is what I see on the trace file:
com.sapportals.portal.prt.runtime.PortalRuntimeException: iView not found: com.sap.ip.bi.web.portal.integration.launcher
Any ideas...?Hi Roy,
I am having exactly the same exception "iview not found" on my consumer production portal. I transported these BEx iviews from consumer pre-prod to consumer prod. My user ID is configured on the backend BW system and still its not working.
Can you please tell me what user credentials were configured on your backend system?. This is an urgent production issue, and I appreciate your earliest response.
Here's my exception details:
