IView size in Web Page Composer

Hi all,
I have created one page using Web Page Composer. I have designed some forms using XML form builder and created KM navigation iView. If I assigned that iView to page , it takes full height. How can we fixed the height of the iView and what should be given to the properties of iView?
Help me in this regard.
Regards,
Hemalatha J

Hi
Maby this will solve your problem:
Change the Isolation method property on the iView to Embedded.
(Open your iView properties - Property category: Load - Isolation Method: Embedded)
This makes (at least some types of) iViews appear on your Web Page Composer page in full height instead of with limited hight and scroll.

    Hi,
now we have the tinyMCE editor, where you can insert and edit html-code. It works fine now for the layout,
but there are still a few problems with the links..
In the edit mode there are displayed all km images out of the km. But the images aren't displayed under the portal role, when i publish the page. And all the links like one to a wiki or the TBN links doesn't work, too.
    Can anybody help me further?

  • Supported iViews in Web Page Composer

    Dear SDNites,
We are planning to Web Page Composer at one of the client implementations. I wanted to know, is there any definite list of iviews supported with Web Page Composer.
I tried to drop URL iView and WebDynpro iview but could not get them working within WPC framework.  Can you please guide me if I am missing any configuration or these iViews are not supported within WPC framework?
    Regards
    Pavan

    Hi Pavan,
The place I could find today a reference about non supported iViews is in the [WPC Wiki|https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/KMC/WebPageComposer-FrequentlyAskedQuestions], under the section Functionality, and the link How does WPC integrate with the Portal Content Directory (PCD)?
    Hope this clarifies.

  • Web Page Composer - Creating Frontpage

    Hi!
I'm trying to create a frontpage with the web page composer and have some questions. Is it possible to create a normal article and only display the introtext and if you click on it you get to the full article. I think there must be an option to adapt multiple xsl rendering files to the containers in the page layout and other xsl rendering files for the full article view. Or do i have to create a shor article and a normal article and show the short article on the front page and create a link to the full article, but this is not really effective. I have read all articles about the web page composer but didn't find any conclusion.
Another question is about the iviews. I managed to create an entry point for iviews, but if I assign an ivew to a container, the front page automatically redirects to a new page with the iview in it. I wanted to integrate a calendar iview. Is there any tutorial for this, didn't find one.
    Thank you very much.

  • Web dynpro iview in web page composer ?

    Hi All,
I am developing one Web site by using Web Page Composer. Can anyone help me for how to use Web Dynpro iview on web page.
    Regards,
    Rahul.

    HI Rahul,
As of now we can not include a Web Dynpro iView on the WPC page like other iViews.
But you can try to create a URL iView from Web Dynpro application
and then add that URL iView to your page.

  • URL iView in Web Page Composer

    Hi,
I have created a URL iView in the PCD and I wanted to embed this iView in the container of the Web Page Composer page.
I have created an entry point to the PCD folder that contains the URL iView.  The PCD URL to the iView is
    http://abc.abc.net:50000/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtmode/default/prtroot/pcd!3aportal_content!2fcontentlib!2fcommercial!2fiviews!2fcollaboration_wpc!2fiviews!2fpetroleum_tmu!2fcom.bhpb.com.gen.url_iview
The URL iView is a simple URL iView that redirects to http://www.google.com
When I drag and drop the URL iView to the container, I saw from the container properties that the URL to the iView is change to
    http://abc.abc.net:50000//irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtmode/default/prtroot/pcd!3aportal_content!2fcontentlib!2fcommercial!2fiviews!2fcollaboration_wpc!2fiviews!2fpetroleum_tmu!2fcom.bhpb.com.gen.url_iview
A additional "/" has been added to behind the port 50000.  This is weird.....!!!!
It is causing me problems as we have an IIS Proxy that does redirection reading behind the URL characters after the port 50000.
    Can anyone explain????
    Thanks.

  • Add Portal iView to Web Page in Web Page Composer

I would like to add a Portal iView to a web page using Web Page Composer.  What are the steps to be able to do this?
We are using NetWeaver 2004s with SP16.
    Thank you for your assistance.
    Alex

    Hi Le,
I configured a Global Entry Point.  These are the steps:
    1.  Choose System Administration ® System Configuration ® Knowledge Management ® Content Management ® User Interface ® (Show Advanced Options) ® Mapping ® Component
    2.  Edit the wpcDragExplorerEntryPoints configuration object.
In the Parameters field, you can enter the following properties:
    Property:  displaymode
    Description:  Specify select
    Property:  maxproviderprio
Description:  Enter a value for the highest priority number that standard entry points can have and still be displayed in the Web content browser The priority of standard entry points is between 3 and 80. For a list of standard entry points and their priorities, see the configuration at Content Management ® Repository Managers ® Entry Point Providers ® Entry Point Provider.
    Property:  entriesperrow
Description:  Number of entry points displayed in each row (default: 5)
    Property:  entrypointsprefix
Description:  Prefix of the entry point repository.  If you specify a value for this parameter, standard KM entry points are also displayed in the Web content browser.  Default: /entrypoints
    Property:  sharedcontent
Description:  Semicolon-separated list of paths to be displayed as global entry points for shared content
Example of a complete specification in the Parameter field:
    displaymode=select,maxproviderprio=30,entriesperrow=5,sharedcontent=/wpccontent/Cross-Site Content;/documents/MyFolder

  • Showing Visual composer iviews within Web Page Composer (wpc)?

I am able to integrate KM iviews from the PCD into my web page composer pages, but when I try showing Flex 2 iviews generated by Visual Composer the flash runs on top of everything else on the page. The flash is simply put at page coordinates 0 x 0 whatever page region you try to put it in.
This is if iview isolation methold is set to embedded. If iview isolation method is set to URL then nothing is shown as the region is simply collapsed as if the content wasn't there.
I know there is a limitation to using Web Dynpro iviews with WPC pages, but the documentation says nothing about Visual Composer iviews.
    Tips?
    Henning Strand

Fixed by choosing fixed height for the iview (pcd config) and keeping isolation method set to URL.
This is as opposed to integrating KM iviews (document lists) where isolation method should be set to embedded and height kept to automatic.
    Cheers
    Henning

  • Placed iview on webpage in web page composer - get 404

    Hello Gurus,
has anyone come across this please?
I have successfully made Iviews visible to KM for web page composer and so I was able to drag and drop the iview onto the page but immediately got a 404 the requested resource is not available.
the iview has end user read permissions so I dont think it's a permission problem.
    thanks for any advice,
    Tim

    Hi Epexpert,
I have already looked at the log files. You get this message which is puzzling:
    while establishing WDContext - com.sapportals.wcm.repository.ResourceNotFoundException: request uri does not map;
    servlet URI computed to be
    <http://<my host name>/irjj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/pcd!3aportal_content!2fsandpit.folder_sandpit!2fTimParker!2fWPC_Iviews!2fpri.brm.sap.iview.home>,
    request URI was

particluraly puzzling is the irjj in the path just after the hostname....
the iview I am attempting to add has everyone group read access with end user permissions.
    thanks for looking at this.
