IView Title Bar

There appears an iView title bar when displaying the portal page, which describes the iView name, like this:

</b>
Has anyone have an idea on how to disable this property?

Hi Ivo,
If you want to just remove the name, go to iView properties >>> <i>Show Object Name in Tray: NO</i>
If you want to remove the Tray itself, go to iView properties >> <i>Show Tray: NO</i>

Iview Name on the page title bar

Hi All,
For our ESS/MSS iviews, text specified on the service (IMG Configuration) used to appear on the Page title bar. We have recently upgraded our Portal and backend system and now instead of the text speacied on the service, iview name appears on the page title bar.
For example .. The iview name is Address and in the SPRO we created a service called "Address XYZ". On area page the service appears as "Address XYZ", but when we click on the link on the page title bar it shows "Address" instead of "Address XYZ"
Please let me know how change this.

Hiding iView Name in the page title bar.

HEllo Experts,
My requirement is to hide the Page name which is getting displayed in the page title bar. Please note that I want to display the tray and other options like history, back, forward etc. Would appreciate if anyone can help me in this regard a tyour earliest.Please....

Hi Kris,
if u want to do it for a particula page..
You can disable that by changing "Show object name in Tray" to "No" in the Property Editor for that page.
If u want to do it for the portal as a whole go to default framework page under Standard user role folder.
and uncheck the visible tab of the page title property......

Title bar of standard page come with German, how to change to English

Hi Experts,
I am creating an page contain an WebdynPro ABAP. When user click link in the WD it will pop up new browser for standard appraisal document provided by SAP. The problem is the title bar of the pop up come with German. So i have checked the Master Language properties of page and iView for standard apprisal document, it has been set to 'EN'. I have no idea how to change it to English.
Could you please advise.

Disable Refresh menu option on Page Title Bar

Hi,
We have a TLN node that opens an iview in a new window. Therefore nothing is displayed in the portal page. However the Page Title Bar menu still has all the options (Open in New Window, Refresh, Details etc.) and if a user selects Refresh, it throws a portal runtime error (iView not found: .default). How can I disable the menu options for this iview? I have tried setting the Show Refresh etc. parameters to No but it didn't work - I assume because the iview isn't being opened in the portal page.

the iview you need to explore is page title bar i view in default framework page available in portal standard user directory in portal content.In this context i would like to suggest a solution why don,t you creat a default framework page just copy it in your folder and open it and disable all checkboxes associated to page title bar and save after that go on to create a deskttop in portal display in system configuration and add your framework page and theme from themes in portal content and then add a rule to the main rule in super administrators folder which will for role of the user will display onle that desktop.i have illustrated the concept of branding if you want to avoid codeing or command groups which is long approach.hope this helps youplease do not forget to give points

IE Title Bar says "BEx Web"

Hi, in my HTML I have <Title>Sales Analysis Dashboard</Title> in the <Head> Section, but the IE Titlebar still says BEx Web. I even checked the generated code and it has what I put in for Title text.
Any way to override this or am I doing something wrong?

Does this happen when you launch from WAD or after creating an iView in the Portal for the Sales Analysis Dashboard template?
If it is from WAD it is probably taking the title property of the launcher iView in EP (this is a generic iView which is used for launching all web apps).
When you create an iView in EP for the Sales Analysis Dashboard template you can set this property and it should display this in the Title bar.

Dynamic iView-Title in tray

Hi everybody.
We are currently implementing some sort of management informations system on our portal. One information that should be available is the companies liquidity. We would like to name the iView as "Liquidity for DD.MM.YYYY" - Is there any possiblity we can pass a date-parameter into the iview titel? We would like to avoid programming if possible.

The option which you told, I have already done for a roles which has some 30 application. The roles which i upload from SAP R/3 will have around 100 programs. Like this I have to be upload many roles. So Its time consuming process to open all the roles and change the property of each Iview one by one.

I kept your option as the last once. Since I don't want to modify Page Title Bar. I was looking whether this can be achieved through configuration.
I have another idea, but don't know where to change this.
When I upload a role from SAP R/3 it creates Iview in portal, this Iview should be based on a template Iview which in portal. If I change the property of this template Iview, this is applicable to all Iview which is created in the system. But I don't know which Iview I should look for.

We have couple of WD ABAP appraisals deployment on our ESS/MSS Portal.

I have tried all possibilities - iview properties, logon language, IE language etc., But not frutifull.

Component itselfs is created in DE language and I cannot change as well.
Any pointers would be highly appreciated.

LPD_CUST, select launchpad
HAP_GENERIC_UI and expend 'Employee document', there you will see in
your system the text 'Mitarbeiterdokument', select it you should then beable to cange this text to 'Employee Document'

Hide the Link in Title Bar

Hello,
We are in the process of implementing EP in our company...
We have uploaded salary slips and are checking whether it is working fine or not?
One issue we are facing is when we click on the link of salary slip it opens up in different window and shows the link in
the title bar of the new window...
If we type the link in a fresh window with the change of employee code , i am able to see his salary slip also...
How can i hide the link showing in title bar of the window?

Do you mean that the URL of the link appears in the Address Bar and you need to hide this? If that is the case then make the following changes in the property of the Iview .
Launch in New Window : Display in Separate Window
Window Features : toolbar=no

Page Title Bar Changes with 'Launch in new Window'

Hi All,
We have a strange situation where we create a page containing an iview with the friendly name on both set to 'test'. This shows fine on the browser title bar as <friendly name> - <portal text> - <browserinfo> e.g "test - SAP EP6.0 - Internet Explorer". All fine so far...
However, when we open a page in a new window via the 'Launch in New Window' page property, the <friendlyname> reverts to the server name. e.g "http://servername:50000 - SAP Enterprise Portal 6.0 - Microsoft Internet Explorer"
We are on EP6 sp2 p14 and have implemented the change to the <portal text> to reflect our customer name.
Any ideas on why this is happening ?

I have already implemented that change to the central configuration. This only relates to the <portal text> (Sap Enterprise Portal 6.0 by default), which doesn't change.
What I need to know is -
a) why the page title changes when you launch the page in a new window
b) what I can do to stop this happening.

Page history in the page title bar

Hi,
    I have customized default masthead and tln.
    I created iView that contains both customized masthead and tln.
    now in the page title bar. only the current page is maintained in the history of the titile bar.
    previous pages are not maintained in the history...
    how to make history containing all pages...

I have used the line that you have posted.
However i am not able to see the complete Page history. I can only see the path from the Role to the Page that is currently launched.

Need to hide the options menu in page title bar in sap portal 7.31

Hi Experts,
I am using a classic frame work page. In that I have the page title bar iview. Now I need to hide the Persoalize and Open in new window option from the page title bar. Can you please suggest how to do the same.
I have already removed the Add to portal Favorites and Add to Browser Favorites. But could not remove the Open in New Window option and Personalize option.

There are a few ways to achieve your requirement with the Classic framework, see the response from Nico Luhr in remove details option in Tool area. By editing the properties of the Core Page you can hide the Personalize and Open in New Window options. See the attached screenshots.

SAP Logo/Title Bar (SAP GUI for HTML)

Hello all,
Anyone know how to disable the SAP logo/title bar that appears via an SAP GUI for HTML transaction (ie. PZ56)? I'm trying to get the transaction to show in the Portal using the SAP Transaction iView, but it displays this SAP title bar with the SAP logo which I don't want.

hi Mike ,
this can be done using the Configuration.
Go to transaction SICF and see the webgui internet service .
in that , you will have a button called GUI CONFIGURATION
and then, you insert another parameter caller ~noHeaderOKCode to 1 which will solve your problem.
