IViews fail in role, but work in preview

When I create an iView, I am able to test it fine in preview mode. When I add this iview to a role, even a newly created test role that I assign a user to, it appears on their desktop on login, but when they click on it, it gives error:

I see no good info in the logs I have gone through. Any thoughts?

Without posting the entire unneccesary info from the defaulttrace, here are the crucial messages that occur at the moment I click on the link. I should add that I am using the standard SAP framework page, no mods. I am also able to create and view URL iViews in the page. Just not iViews pointing to other hosts.

Installing onto system using Marvell 91xx fails on RTM but works in Preview

Asking the question for the second time.
I've been trying to install RTM on a system with a Marvell 9128 and a 9230. The system has a pair of mirrored disks on the 9130 that I'm trying to install to.
When the installer starts, it can see the raid disk, but tells me it doesn't support booting. I have tried to load the marvell drivers separately, but I guess the built-in drive is newer, so the drive isn't loaded. I have also updated the marvel firmware and
mother board to the latest versions which didn't help.
I had the same system working fine with with Preview, so just to prove the point I went back to preview to see if it still worked, which it did. So the issue is definitely in RTM.
Does anyone know a way around this issue?

Driver issues are the vendor's responsibility. Microsoft does not write (many of the) drivers. You will need to contact Marvell to see what they have to say about their support of Windows Server 2012 R2. This is regardless of whether or
not it worked in preview. Here is what Microsoft has in regards to supported Marvell storage drivers -

I have logged this with Forte and it as been recognized as a bug ( #46554 ).
The Express methods you need to look at if you want to modify this behavior
are :
1 - BusinessQuery.BuildQuery() starting at line 217
2 - SqlQuery.GetWhereText() starting at line 60
We have gotten around the problem by modifying what Express generates by
changing it from ( col1, col2 ) in ( select col1, col2 ... ) to ( col1 +
col2 ) in ( select col1 + col2 ... )
Just one thing i'm not sure that the '+' is standard on every DBMS for
concatenation.
We are using SQL Server 6.5

This was a bug with Express and was fixed in Express E.2.0.L.0.

Title & Menu Buttons not working correctly on remote control/ set top player but work in preview.

Title & Menu Buttons not working correctly on remote control/ set top player but work in encore preview. This only happens for a Blu ray project. When a user presses the menu button it should go to the previous menu they were on but it goes to the main menu. When they press the title button they should go to the main menu but it doesn't do anything. My DVD projects work as expected.I've tried creating a new "test" project with different footage and still get the same undesirable results.
Overrides grayed out and set to "not set" for timelines and menus.Project settings and build are set to blu ray. Also I've noticed when I preview a Bluray project the preview window shows a red colored disc next to the Title button when viewing the timelines and green when playing the menus but not so for a DVD project it displays red if motion menus and or timelines are not rendered/encoded. I'm not using motion menus and all the media is encoded according to the project specs.
I've searched this forum but couldn't find the answer. Any help or redirects to a solution would be appreciated. Working with CS5. Thanks.

I found out on my Samsung Blu ray player the remote has a tools button on it that brings up audio, angle, chapter selection etc.and also title selection which is actually the menus and the timelines unfortunately. It's not as easy or direct as last menu selected but it's a workaround at least. I also plan on using a pop up menu. I'll let you know.

Images are not loading - but work in Preview mode

Hi -
I was wondering if anyone can help me. I'm kind of new to Dreamweaver and I can't seem to figure this out on my own.
I'm using Dreamweaver 8. I developed a web page based on a template in which everything works perfectly in "Preview" mode on all browsers. But when I uploaded the files to my remote hosting, the template based images (found in the "images" folder) are not loading on the page. The images that I added to the template myself, found in the same "images" folder ($200,000 in ..., and picture at bottom) are loading. So some of the images in the images folder are loading some are not.
I've checked the Images folder on the remote site, and they all seem to be there. I've also checked for broken links, and I'm not getting any (I don't know if that would help w/ missing images or not, but I'm trying everything I can think of). I also checked to see if there is a separate CSS style sheet, and there wasn't one supplied with the template (there is some CSS info in the code on the html page). The image sizes are all small enough as well. Can anyone help me with this?

Your Web server is running on an operating system that is case-sensitive. You appear to have uploaded an Images folder, but not an images folder.
You do not have a file here:
images/squeeze-video_425x344_r9_c6.jpg
But you do have a file here:
Images/squeeze-video_425x344_r9_c6.jpg
So you'll need to either change all your image/<whatever> links to point to Images/<whatever>, or upload another folder named images.
Or, if you want to use a single folder, and if your local file system is not case-sensitive, you might be able to do it in DW's file panel. Here is a method that you might use to have all of them in a folder named images.
BACK UP YOUR SITE FILES
Rename Images to Foo (allow DW to update links)
Rename Foo to images (allow DW to update links)
Upload the images folder and any/all files that DW changed
Delete the online Images folder

My multi-state object disappear's when I export to PDF but works in Preview mode?

I created a multi-state object which is a series of logos that appear when a button is clicked. There are two buttons one is set to go the the previous state and one is set to go to the next state. When I view it in the preview mode it works fine but when I export it to PDF nothing happens when I click the buttons. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Multi-state objects are NOT supported in PDF. The PDF standard preceded the development of multi-state objects. It's now under the control of the ISO so may be slow to adapt.
They work when exporting to SWF or with the Adobe Digital Publishing Suite.

Rich Client Login fails from Infoview but works fine if opened from desktop

Hi Friends,
When i open WebI Rich Client from my infoview (By changing the preferrance settings in Infoview), it returns an error as "Login Fails" , but if i open the webI Rich Client from my Start->Programs->Business Objects XI 3.0->WebI Rich Client , it works fine. i am not sure why invoking rich client from infoview fails, but the same works fine, if opened directly from the desktop. I have only one user "administrator" Created with no password in the Enterprise.
Configuration:
Platform:             Windows Xp
Type:                  Vertical Installation (All the servers and Presentation Layer in a single Box)
Boxi Version:     BOXI 3.0
Authentication:   BO Enterprise.
Any help in the regard is appreciated.

Windows XP is not officially supported for a BOBJ server installation. Can you consider installing BO on a Windows Server machine?

XMLSignatureFactory fails in servlet, but works in a stand-alone program.

Hi all,
I am trying to write a servlet which will do XML signature et al. For the same, I am using JWSDP 2.0 (Java WebServices Developers Pack) on JRE 1.4.2_5. The servlet is hosted on SAP Netweaver 7 platform on Windows.
I am getting an exception:
javax.xml.crypto.NoSuchMechanismException: Cannot find DOM mechanism type
in the "XMLSignatureFactory.getInstance" line. I looked up in the documentation of XMLSignatureFactory and it says that the DOM mechanism should be provided by the provider argument - org.jcp.xml.dsig.internal.dom.XMLDSigRI in this case.

I tried to add the "org.jcp.xml.dsig.internal.dom.XMLDSigRI" in the jre/lib/security/java.security, but then the server0 does not start-up.
Any hints/pointers to resolve this issue?

when i create a spatial feature table and index oracle gives me the foloowing error:

my oracle is setup following the esri and oracle guidelines:
all our tablespaces are with UNLIMITED extent and maxsize on
any files. All the tablespaces follow Oracle9i best practices
such as OFA, SAFE, and SAME including Temporary Tablespace.

Here is a fix to this problem I found. Not sure if it will help:
1. Go to directory $TNS_ADMIN on database tier or database home.
2. Modify sqlnet.ora file with following.
tcp.validnode_checking = yes
Either set above directive value to NO or add machine name where jdeveloper is running to following directive.
tcp.invited_nodes=(machin-name, machine-name)
3. Bounce listener using addlnctl.sh under database directory.

Applet fails in Linux but works on Windows and MAC

Hey I've been testing my RMI Chat and everything seems to work fine when I connect to it from a MAC machine or Windows machine but when I try to connect on Linux (openSUSE) the applet gets a connection timeout.

Check to see if you can access your server from other machines over the internet using telnet. That is in command prompt go to the drive that has the OS. Say it is C:
Then write:
C:\>telnet <your servers external ip address> <port number that you are trying to access>
If everything is fine you will get a blank window with the cursor blinking on the top left hand corner of the window.
Generally this connection timed out exception occurs when the client can't find the server.

Why did DST change fail on iPad but work on iPhone?

I have an iPhone 4S and an iPad 4, both running 8.1. Both devices are on AT&T data plans and seem to be working just fine except for this one annoying difference. I was in Central TZ (Austin, TX) during the DST change over but am now back in EST.
My iPhone saw the change immediately and corrected itself to the proper DST time. My iPad still is an hour off and continues to ignore the DST change. Both devices have been on multiple cell networks across TX, NC and VA as well as multiple wireless networks during that time. Phone is right, iPad is not.

You know ... when one goes through the support documents and other users' suggestions ... and one still can't find a solution, you've always got APPLE SUPPORT. That's what they're there for ... :-) ...

Loop failed on dvd but works correct in testmode

Hi,
I want to create a dvd in CS4 that plays only one track (1 minute duration) in a endless loop without any menue functionality. I use the "Import to cutting-area" ( don´t know the exact name in the english version) and drag it into the Flowchart as the start event. Then I changed the end event of the clip to chapter 1 of the same clip. This works correct in test mode and loops endless.
Then I burn the project on dvd and the clips starts playing. But nearly at the end of the clip the dvd stops and freezes. The dvd player on my mac shows me 2 chapters on this dvd and I can start the clip again using chapter 1.
What´s wrong with my project?

Ok, now it works!
The problem was the length of the clip in the timeline. After cutting the clip to the end of the GOP it worked correct.
You can apply a chapter as the end action - works also correct.
I don´t understand why the test-mode gives no warning and the projects seems to work fine but the dvd freezes.
