At WO10009 User Exit...we can use this FM:
CO_BC_RESBD_OF_ORDER_GET -> Get RESB internal table.
CO_BT_RESB_UPDATE -> Update RESB table.
Althought during creation (IW31) when the order numer is temporal ($$$$$$$$$$$1), this FM works great, cause it reads from memory, not from database.

Automatic storage location view creation in maintenace order (IW31)

Hello,
Seems like I need some help.
Have configured automatic storage location view creation for GR and reservation. Configured movement types are 101, 201, 261. While creating reservations (201, 261 mvmnt. types) with mb21 the sloc view is automatically created in material master, and everything seems fine.
But in iw31 when I specify material number and sloc in a Components tab, I get an error message CO312: "The storage location data is not created". Automatic reservation is not created, and maintenance order can not be saved. Movement type 261 is used for automatic reservations for the maintenance order.
If I configure message CO312 as a (W)arning message, then it allows me to save the order and reservation, but sloc view in material master still is not created. Think that's not good and may lead to MRP issues.
How can I configure automatic sloc view creation in iw31? Is that possible?

Hi,
The customization required for Automatic Storage location creation at reservation are:
Goto : SPRO -> MM -> inventory Management and physical inventory -> Goods issue/ Transfer posting -> Create storage location automatically
first of all go to Plant and tick the automatic Storage location creation for the Plant. After that goto Movement type and tick the automatic Storage location for movement type 261.

My understanding is that the selected work center is not copied into the input field. This can be corrected with note [1451299|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1451299]. Check if the note is relevant for your system.

IW31 Service Order created with reference order,sold to party not populated

Hello
If one decides to create a new service order with IW31 but based on an old one using reference order field, not all data's are popullated to the new document:
It works for some data's like :
- operations
- components
It does not work for the following data's:
- service order description
- sold to party
- main workcenter
Does someone know if it is possible in the customizing to determine "copy rules" in order popullating values from the reference document to the new?
Is it a bug or a SAP standard behaviour?

The behaviour you have described is correct - Description, partners, main work center are not copied from reference order. See note 197581.

How can I make settlement rule mandatory in create workorder and saving without release.
I kanow we can make settlement rule mandatory upon Release order but here requirement is
Create work order (IW21) save without releasing that time settlement rule should default.

1.If you want the settlement rule default then maintain account assignment data in technical object and when MO is created on that it would be copied into the settlement rule...
2. If you want to make those fields mandatory .... plz check up field selections in config , if you cannot find those then use SHD0 Transaction variant to make those fields mandatory.
3. Enter SHD0 , Enter IW31 in transaction and ZIW31 for transaction variant ..click create option and this takes you to IW31 initial screen , here enter required values of technical object etc and press enter and this gives you IW31 Initial scree screen variant , click continue and this takes you to inside screen and here enter required field values and on pressing enter gives you screen variant .. so you need to enter field values and check the flow of screen variants and on getting settlement rule screen variant select required option for the fields you need.
4. Finally you can save that in package created in SE80 for transporting to other client .., you can activate the variant in SHD0 -->Standard variants -->you can find activate option ..

I am looking out for an exit/BADI for changing the header of
work order (IW31) during creation of the same.
I could find some of the exits but they doesn't change the header.
Could anyone of you suggest some enhancemnet for the same.
My requirement is to add the revision number on the basis of Basic start
dates .

Partner update during IW31 Order creation

Dear all,
In one of my requirements, I am trying to create a PM Order through IW31 and not filling the Partner on the screen. The requirement is to calculate the PM Partner in the flow ( Currently calculating it in the WORKORDER_UPDATE BADI ).
I need to fill in the Partner function and partner on the partner tab during the same course of flow with the calculated values, but I don't find a way yet !
Is there a user exit or a BADI which can be used for filling the PArtner function and Partner on the partner tab during the flow of IW31? I looked at all the BADI's by setting a break-point on CL_EXITHANDLER, but none seems to serve the purpose.

I run into the same issues with my partner function in a solution that I am currently working on. If the solution doesn't call for a reference object at the time of order creation, the service order won't determine the partners correctly off the customer master as it does in SD. I believe a user exit has to be inserted to determine the partners from the order header partner because CS is expecting that service orders will be created with a reference object at all times.

U can go through the tansaction.
System/ Status
Double click on program name.
For badis:
Search for the Phrase:
cl_exithandler=>get_instance.
U will the badi definitions.
For User exits:
search for the phrase: CALL CUSTOMER-FUNCTION
u will get the user exits.

Assign Investment program Position for IW31 through exit/BADI

My requirement is, I've to assign investment program details to Maintainence order (IW31) in creation mode through enhancement. I am able to do so in change mode using the FM "AIPP_ALLOCATE_POSITION_DARK", but when I use the same FM in creation mode it is throughing "Update Termination " error.
Please let me know is there any BADI/User Exit/Enhancement Point to achieve the same.

Screen exit/BADI for adding custom field in IW31/IW32

Hi all,
The requirement is to add the permit field in the Header component of IW31. Searched SDN and found user exit IWO10018 for the same which includes a screen exit.
The activation of the same is adding a tab in the screen while user wants the field under header Component tab.
How this can be done. Any suggestion.

Hi,
You can perform append structure to add your custom field(s)in VBAP table. Next step, go to SE51 (Screen Painter)to modify SAP Program SAPMV45A Screen number 4459 for Additional data A or Screen number 8459 for Additional data B to add your append structure custom fields.
Once the above steps done, you can place your logic to populate custom fields in include program MV45AFZZ. i.e USEREXIT_MOVE_FIELD_TO_VBAP.
At the end, please ensure all program and screen are activated. Hope this will help.

To search for a badi, go to se 24 display <b>class cl_exithandler.</b>
double click on method get_instance, get a break point on case statement.
execute and start the required transaction in new session.
look for variable <b>exit_name.</b> It would show the available badi's.

User Exit - adding defualt WBS Element in addi.tab for IW31 - Servi.Order

I am facing a problem with adding WBS Element in Addit.Data tab for Service Order creation using IW31.
At the time of creating service order using TCODE IW31, I have to maintian default values like WBS ELEMENT, for this I am using a USER EXIT "IWO10010".
The problem is getting dump error. Becuase, it is NUMC type and I am passing the value with character + numeric. Like "EX/1232/22".
Field length is NUMC - 8.
"CAUFVD-PSPEL"
If I create manually without using user exist, the field WBS Element is accepting the value and service order is creating successfully with WBS Element.
This is also same as CAUFVD-PSPEL.
I Couldn't understand How the SAP system will works?
Any solution for this.
Note: Creating Service Order IW31, Passing WBS Element with user exist with same field (CAUFVD-PSPEL) giving dump error showing "Passing Character values". If I create manually, and enter character + numeric in the same field CAUFVD-PSPEL, system creating service order without any error.

When i create a maintenance order(iw31) with reference to equipment it defualts teh equipment cost center, in the location tab.
I have a requirement to change the cost center based on the workcenter / priority, when i save the order.
Is there is any user exit / Badi available for my requirement?

i have problems with the definition of the default value of the costing relevancy during the creation of an orden by the transaction IW31.
In particular i have to set that default value just for a specific order type.

To define your own logic you can use BAdI IWO1_ORDER_BADI with method CHANGE_COSTRELEVNCY to set 'relevant for costing flag'. See also some information in note [649743|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/649743].
