Iweb and motion graphic in  transparent background !!!

i want to make my website with iweb , the background design in photoshop then use in iweb , i want to have a motion graphic same a flower growing on background but it seems there is no way to do this because when i make a motion in After effect and export it in any format at the final there is black or white background on the main background , i check all tutorial and forms in flash , after effect , iweb , i didn't find any solution !!!!!

You will need to flatten the photoshop layer with the transparency down to a bacground layer (i.e. on white or whatever it is over)
Overall you are better using flattened PICT files for a base layer and one for an overlay, usually provides the best results (less weirdness/issues), though you can use the PSD method (remember to rasterize all text and flatten all layers with effects)

    hi I'd like some help please if its possible.
    I've created a monitor graphic in Fireworks that looks like iMac and I would like to export it with transparent background.
    the jpeg format looks great with no damage to the graphic at all but I can't have transparent background, although I changed the canvas fill to none. the png-8 format can apply transparent background, but damages the graphic.
    Here are the previews
    1st - the png-8 format
    2nd - thejpeg format
    A ny ideas on how I can export the graphic with transparent background and not braking the quality??

  • Masking and clip art with transparent backgrounds

    I'm new to iWeb and am creating a travel blog. So far love the simplicity of it. However, when I try to add clip art type images or graphics with transparent backgrounds I always get a white border around them. I have tried to mask or crop the border out but no dice. Any help?!
    Also, if anyone can recommend a good source for travel or photo related clip art let me know. The iWeb "Roadtrip" template seems to have some cute items - maps, scissors, tape, etc. - but there is not much there.
    Thanks everyone.

    Welcome to the Apple Discussions. That's the default border for added image files. Go to the Inspector/Graphic pane and take off the frame/stroke that is added by default.
    Click to view full size
    Be sure to post a request to remove that default border at http://www.apple.com/feedback/iweb.html. The more complaints the better.

  • Creating PDFs from documents with graphics having transparent background

    I came across this problem when making PDFs of PowerPoint presentations but I have found that the same thing happens in Word.
    PDFs created from documents containing graphics having transparent backgrounds end up being very large (usually much larger than the source documents) and rendering slowly on the screen. The graphics are either JPGs with background set as transparent using the Set Transparent Color tool on the picture toolbar in MS Office applicatons, or PNGs that already have transparent backgrounds when inserted in the document. PDFs made from the same documents in which the graphics do not have transparent backgrounds are much smaller and render more quickly.
    When I try to select the graphics in the resulting PDFs using the Touch-up Object tool, I find that each graphic is actually made up of many individual graphic lines. Graphics without a transparent background select as a single object.
    I have tried several PDF creation tools and all kinds of settings but nothing seems to make much of a difference. The only way I can get a reasonable file size is to reduce resolution in the PDF creation settings to the point that they are unacceptable.
    This happens to me in the following applications:
    * MS Word 2003
    * MS PowerPoint 2003
    I have tried these PDF creation tools:
    * Acrobat 7 Pro
    * JAWS PDF Creator 3.60
    * Bullzip PDF Printer 6.0
    Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a solution?
    Thanks.

    Well we can color this one solved. What I figured out I can do is have the application tell Word to print-to-file using an Apple LaserWriter (or other PostScript) printer, and put the resulting file in a folder that is being watched by Distiller. Distiller then converts the PS document to PDF and I'm in business.
    So no change in the user process, and no need to crack open a new API and add it to the existing application. Works for me.
    Thanks to all for the suggestions and specific links and other information of interest...

    PhotoShop Elements 11 stopped importing Adobe PDF files recently.  Everything looks the same until the file opens and is just a transparent background.  Can anyone offer advice on how to fix this?

  • Importing a graphic with transparent background

    I have a graphic that has a transparent background in Photoshop. When I import it into Indesign, it has a white background. Is there a way to keep the transparent background when importing?

    A quick test shows it works perfectly for me. Created a regular Photoshop document, transparent background, some text on an otherwise empty layer. Saved as PSD. Placed into InDesign CS4. Transparency all around.
    Did you, by any chance, not use the proper import ("Place") function but used copy-and-paste to get it into InDesign?

  • Saving image and layer separately with transparent background

    I have a photo with a layer and I am trying to save two images (main photo and layer) with transparent background. I am able to save the  main photo with transparent background but somehow not able to save the layer with transparent background despite selecting the option while saving as PNG. Any help will be appreciated?

    OK... I'm probably not being clear.
    When I import the PDF, I get a typical architect's line drawing as shown below. So the background is displaying as white. In Corel, when you save a GIF or a PNG, you can specify that -everything- that is the 'background colour' is rendered as transparent. IOW: there's no need to erase the 'white' pixels; they are auto-magically converted to transparent.
    But in PS (CS4), no matter what I try, the rendered PNG or GIFs show as white, rather than transparent.
    Is there a way to have this same behaviour in PS? Or do I first have to use the erase or background erase tools to get rid of the white?

  • Muse and Motion Graphics

    I want to add some motion graphics to my Muse site. I have built the graphics in AfterEffects. When we still could export swf files, I did, the swf is 22.1 MB, I couldn't export it smaller without losing quality and getting some ailing. What should I do?

    This is NOT the correct answer and really not the least bit helpful. Submitting a message on this forum was a last resort after going through the help section.
    You should consider addressing this error message in the help section, as I've seen several people with this issue. In my case (after surfing around the message boards for over an hour), I discovered that I had to upload the exported website to my FTP to see the animations working. So, yes, they seem to have been integrated properly once the site was actually live, but when you preview your HTML file in the browser AFTER exporting, it looks like something is amiss and that really threw me off after I'd spent so much time creating the animations.
    Again, the help section should indicate in a side note that you must go live with your site to fully test that your animations work properly. It would save people a huge headache.

  • Which codec to use for editing AND motion graphics (ala Final Cut Studio)?

    I have a prosumer-level AVCHD camcorder (Panasonic HDC-TM700) and am working with Final Cut Studio. After doing a great deal of research it appears that there is NO real benefit to using any codec other than ProRes 422 for straight editing (a camera at this price point doesn't shoot images of a high enough quality to warrant using 422 HQ, which also requires more processor power, and not only does 4444 require rendering it also takes up a ton of space). However, I have read (many times) that there may be some benefit to using 422 HQ if I am doing motion graphics work (ala Motion 4). Can anyone verify this? Would it make any discernible difference when shooting with a camera like this? Even though it is a prosumer camcorder I am trying to squeeze as much value as I can out of the entire production.
    Any input or advice?
    Thanks!

  • Graphics circle transparent background

    Hi,
    I got something like this:
    can = new Canvas;
    txt = new Lable;
    img = new Image;
    can.addChild(txt);
    can.addChild(img);
    can.alpha = 0;
    then I do some stuff...and then I want to restore 'can.alpha', make it visible and put a partly - transparent circle around it:
    can.alpha = 100;
    can.graphics.beginFill(0x83F52C,0.5);
    can.graphics.drawCircle(can.width/2,can.height/2,can.width/2);
    can.graphics.endFill();
    The effect is that the transparency doesn't work when can.alpha is set to 100 though it is set before I draw the partly - transparent circle. I tried to validate 'can' object between:
    can.alpha = 100;
    can.validateNow();
    can.graphics.beginFill(0x83F52C,0.5);
    but it has no effect. I wonder if any of you know any way around to achieve what I'm trying to do.

    Hehe, that's a good one I was thinking in percentages.  Thanks mate and sorry for stupid question, sometimes I'm so retarded

  • Export with Transparent Background

    I do realize this has been asked again and again.  Just making a reality check. I created a lower third. Time and time again the import into Final Cut Pro was on a solid black background instead of a transparency.
    I followed every post and followed the directions - with no success.
    Finally I exported my Motion lower third as a Template.  The effect appears as a Generator in Final Cut.  When I use the created Generator in my timeline the lower third has a proper transparency and works properly.
    Is that really the only way to import a Motion graphic with transparent background??     Yes, I did try creating a Movie in ProRes 4444, my project does have a transparent background selected, etc.  I feel as if I am missing something.

    Much appreciated  :-)
    I purchased the lower third from Videohive.  It has the basic graphic but lacks titles. While I was watching Motion tuturials, I thought I would customize the lower third with a fancy text animation.
    I tried a few experiments based on what you said.  I see now.
    So it appears that even though my proxy media lacks the alpha channel and does not display with a transparency, the moment I switch FCP to view Optimized/Original media, the transparency works correctly.
    So I assume I can still use proxy media (if needed) and ignore the lack of transparency until my final render.  As long as I am exporting from Motion using ProRes 4444 it should work correctly.
    Does that reasoning make sense?
    Looking at many posts across the internet, I think this is the very issue that has tripped up many people.
    Thank you for your helpful comment. I was going nuts trying to figure it out.

  • Import Motion 5 movie into iMovie 11 with transparent background

    I'm trying to import a movie from Motion 5 into iMovie 11 with a transparent background.  iMovie goes through the expected dialog boxes but the actual movie doesn't appear in the events window.  I know this is possible to do as I've been able to import the indymogul transporter effect movie (http://www.indymogul.com/transport) and use in iMovie 11 without too many problems.
    The movie is "PAL DV" with a transparent background and I've tried all the combinations of "alpha, color, alpha + color, etc.".
    Has anyone been able to do this?
    many thanks,

    Hi I am looking for clarification before buying the motion software.
    @dale , Is it possible to create animated graphics and text with a transparent background, that can then be overlayed ontop of my Imovie projects using the Picture in Picture option?
    Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  • Photoshop text + bevel and emboss on TRANSPARENT background?

    I've created my Photoshop title images with text + bevel and emboss, on a transparent background.
    I've Rasterized the type and I've merged down leaving the transparent background (not flattened) then saved as .psd or .tif (with layers).
    When I import into FCP I either get the text WITH bevel and emboss, on a WHITE background or text WITHOUT bevel and emboss, on a TRANSPARENT background.
    Strange thing is, I've imported Photoshop images with transparent backgrounds into FCP several times before and although I can't say I've never had problems, I've always managed to work it out quite easily. Not this time, I'm baffled and seriously considering getting cross!

    I have tried the Ken Stone method (thank God for that guy...) but I am loosing my drop shadow and bevel effects on the text once the file is imported in FCP.. • Mac Pro for motion graphics and animation

    Dear all, after 2+ years of dreaming about getting a mac pro, i have finally come to the stage where i can't not have one. This is a big step for me and probably the biggest purchase i have made in my life yet, so therefore i really want to get everything right.
    I would like to know if anybody can recommend me what spec mac i should get, ie in terms of graphics cards, processor and displays. I need to be powerful yet i would like to try and save as much money as possible.
    I will be using it predominantely for design, animation and motion graphics and using programs such as :
    Creative Suite
    After Effects
    Cinema 4D
    Final Cut Pro
    your help is much appreciated
    thanks

    Hi Vector,
    The folks at Barefeat must have asked this same question before, because they raced five Mac Pros out of all three families. The results are about what you might expect: the biggest speed advantage comes from having 8 cores as opposed to 4. After that, the advantage of 3.2GHz cores over 3.0GHz, or 3.0GHz over 2.8GHz is far less pronounced.
    It's hard to recommend exactly the "right" system for your needs, but going by the above results, the best cost-to-performance ratio will be found with the baseline 2.8GHz 8-core Mac Pro. Cut back to 4-cores and you lose a fair bit of power; scale up to 3.0GHz and you gain relatively little by comparison.
    For your video card, you can probably suffer with the entry-level Radeon 2600 XT. The GeForce 8800 GT is more of a gaming card, and the Quadro FX 5600 card isn't something you want to break the bank on unless grabbing a Quadro is the whole reason you're buying a Mac Pro. Displays aren't my speciality, so I'll defer to the experts. That link is to the final page presenting the victors in a long article, which may be worth a full read if you're interested.
    Finally, cram as much memory into it as you can. You can (almost) never have too much memory. 4GB should probably be your bare minimum for video-intensive work.
    Hope that helps. As long as you go 8-core, you're nearly immune to over/under-estimating your requirements. If you find you need more power, chances are you'll get it by tossing in some more memory. If you find that you've got too much, then you'll at least be future-proofed for longer.

  • How to create image slice with transparent background without white halo around?

    Hi, I want to make slice image with transparent background. I set the slice option background color to my background color. But when the image is on my html page set against the same background color, it has white halo around:
    How can I get rid of the white halo?
    I need the slice image to have transparent background and not have a color background because it's going on a rollover button with the background change. I don't want it to look like this on rollover:

    >it looks to me like you built it with that "halo" to start with.
    No, I didn't put in the halo myself. The shape is a character from the Webdings font. It's set to some darker fill color and set on a transparent background. Photoshop put the white halo there after "Save For Web".
    > Make your graphic on a transparent background and Save for Web
    I did exactly that, see:
    I set the slice background to my color. I try the Matte option and come out the same with white halo.
    It seems I'm not making Photoshop antialias to my background color, instead Photoshop just antialias to white.
    What else do I need to do?
