Iweb began crashing after I was editing the blog page, I think it was somehow overloaded, and now iweb doesn't even open.

I kept turning the computer off and on and it doesnt open still, only the inspector tablet. what do i do!!!

Try the following:
delete the iWeb preference files, com.apple.iWeb.plist and com.apple.iWeb.plist.lockfile, that resides in your Home() /Library/Preferences folder.
go to your Home()/Library/Caches/com.apple.iWeb folder and delete its contents.
launch iWeb and try again.
If that doesn't help continue with:
move the domain file from your Home/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder to the Desktop.
launch iWeb, create a new test site, save the new domain file and close iWeb.
go to the your Home/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder and delete the new domain file.
move your original domain file from the Desktop to the iWeb folder.
launch iWeb and try again.
Lastly, close iWeb and open iPhoto.  Select a couple of photos and use the Share ➙ iWeb ➙ Photo Page menu option.  Give it a couple of tries if the first one doesn't help.

  • Iphoto will no longer recognize my camera, says it does not recognize the format....they are jpegs? And now it will not even open when I plug my Canon Eos Camera in to download. I have checked everything on the camera and it is working perfectly....

Iphoto will no longer open when attaching my Canon Eos Camera. I have checked the camera and everything is working perfecty. When I open it myself, Iphoto is working perfectly too. But now when I attach the camera, Iphoto no longer opens at all. Yesterday it did open after a really long wait but it kept saying that it did not recognize the "format" of the images....they were jpegs??? Then it flashed on and off and if I hit download at just the right second they would download. But today it won't work at all. Any suggestions.
    thanks

    As a Test:
Hold down the option (or alt) key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there?

  • Iweb keeps crashing when i click on the gallery page in the left hand colum

iweb keeps crashing when i click on the gallery page in the left hand column? Does anyone know why this happens and what i can do to resolve it? I have tried deleting a file which i saw recommended but it hasn't made any difference

Its possible that the page files, or individual image files are corrupted and you may have to consider rebuilding the page.
Some people find that they can't even delete the page due to the fact that iWeb crashes as soon as they select it.
If you have carried out the trouble shooting steps under "Fix iWeb" here....
    http://www.iwebformusicians.com/WebMusic/iWebTips.html
... and the issue is still not resolved, I do have a method of deleting such pages which does work when I try it despite the claims from others that it is not possible.
If you really have to delete the page you can post back here.

  • Iweb problems with Sites folders to edit the web page

I had to change the hard drive in my MAcbookpro. I had done a Time Machine backup before... but did not restore it all as I had restored file by file. Now I do not have my iweb sites in my new iweb anymore. I do have all the html under Sites folder.
How can I restore this? The website does publish online but I cannot edit it and find the folders. I did not find the original domain folder. Thankyou.

    annafromgeneva wrote:
Or is there anything else I can do?
Anna ~ If you can't recover your Domain file, you'll have to rebuild your site from scratch — see the tips in paragraph 2.3 here:
    http://iwebfaq.org/site/iWeb_Backup_retrieve.html
...But if you have to rebuild, it's an opportunity to consider alternative apps which don't rely on a Domain file and (unlike iWeb) are regularly updated with new features — see this post:

I right-clicked the iPhone in Device Manager and chose Update Driver (for me, the iPhone was showing up in the Device Manager under Imaging Devices).
I selected "Install from a list or specific location (Advanced)" and clicked Next.
I chose "Don't search. I will choose the driver to install" and clicked Next.
In the next window there were 2 drivers to choose from: the "Digital Still Camera" driver that my PC kept thinking the iPhone was, and Apple Mobile Device USB Driver. I selected the Apple Mobile Device driver.
The driver installed, and at that point iTunes 9.2 could finally detect the iPhone. Yay!"

  • I installed the latest update of itunes and now I can't even open itunes. I have Windows 7.

As seen above. I installed the latest update of itunes, as an admin on my windows 7 and now nothing is working. I already deinstalled itunes. But nothing is working. Could please someone help. It's the 11.1 or 11.2 update I think

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

  • My MacBook Air over the past 24 hours has been freezing in safari and now when I try to open safari the entire laptop freezes and I have to force a restart and can't open safari. What does that mean?

I'm not really sure what's happening. Sometimes everything will be fine and then other times it's the rainbow wheel of death.

That toolbar/ct plugin seems to cause problems for all who install it!
If you are running Tiger or Leopard:
Close Safari, then locate and delete the following files and it should be gone:
    /Library/Application Support/Conduit
    /Library/InputManagers/CTLoader
    /Library/Receipts/ctloader.pkg
    /Library/Receipts/<Toolbar name>.pkg
    /Library/Application Support/SIMBL/Plugins/CT2285220.bundle
    /Users/<User name>/Library/Application Support/Conduit
where / is the root library on your Hard Disk.
If you are running Snow Leopard you should also look here:
    Library/launchAgents/com.conduit.loader.agent.plist
    Library/Application support/conduit plugins
    Also, as mentioned by Gilli2000:
Library/Receipts - If you read it, it has information in it at the bottom referring extensively to "CT" and "community toolbar".
Maybe it is harmless, but trash those items anyway!
    If you are running Lion:
From the Finder Menu bar, select Go ▹ Go to Folder, and in the box that opens write:
    ~/Library/Application Support/Conduit
Delete the second item if it is there.
Now select Go to Folder again and enter  /Library
From the folder that opens, delete the following items if they are there (you may need your login password):
    Application Support/Conduit
    InputManagers/CTLoader
    LaunchAgents/com.conduit.loader.agent.plist
    ScriptingAdditions/ct_scripting.osax
then close the folder. Now select Go to Folder again and write: /Applications/Toolbars
Delete that item and close the Finder windows you opened. Log out then log back in, and you should be rid of it.
Note: Safari does not support any third-party toolbars except those supplied as an extension to Safari via the Extension Gallery.

This report also contains technical information about the state of the application when it crashed.

OK, lets do a complete overhaul to make sure it's working ok.
First to check your Windows system file for any corruption:
Go to command prompt (START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES right mouse click "command prompt" and choose "Run as Administrator"
    type in
    sfc /scannow
let Windows fix any system files that need to be repaired.
    Restart the computer.
Start iTunes and see if it is ok.
If it doesn't, will have to go through the whole process of uninstalling and installing acccording to the following steps:
    1. Go to Microsoft website to fix install and Unistall problems. Click "Run now" from Fix it to remove all iTunes & related installer files:
    http://support.microsoft.com/mats/Program_Install_and_Uninstall
Be aware that Windows Installer CleanUp Utility will not remove the actual program from your computer. However, it will remove the installation files so that you can start the installation, upgrade, or uninstall over.
    2. You should remove all instances of iTunes and the rest of the components listed below:
it may be necessary to remove all traces of iTunes, QuickTime, and related software components from your computer before reinstalling iTunes.
Use the Control Panel to uninstall iTunes and related software components in the following order:
    iTunes
    QuickTime
    Apple Software Update
    Apple Mobile Device Support
    Bonjour
Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later)
(Referenceinstructions from Apple article listed here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923 to remove all components)
    3. Reboot your computer. Next, download iTunes from here:http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ and install from scratch

Have you tried a full tear down and reinstall as shown in the second box of Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates?

  • I can't download to the io5 to my iphone as it comes up with error and now i can't even open any of my downloaded app or even make a phone call. Someone help me

I have updated Itunes to 10.5 and was told my iphone has a new update so i did this until i got a message saying error i cannot update iphone. itunes then disconnected my phone and  has now left me with a phone i can't use.
apps i have downloaded will not open
    i cant make phone calls
    phone turns itself off.
    will someone please help me.

A wet phone is out of warranty. This is considered user damage. Even if you were able to get it to start now, the chances of it working for long are slim. I suggest going to Apple and see about an OOW replacement. One for the iPhone 4 is only $149USD and it would come with a short warranty. It is a refurbished device and you would not be worried about encountering additional problems.

  • Any solutions to itunes launching with windows 8? it was working fine yesterday when i was burning cd's and now it won't even open :-///

No, not paired to anything else, fresh out the box connected to the mac mini I bought at the same time, never been paired with anything else.
I think it's a hardware issue. As I don't seem to be able to get it to turn off.

  • I updated the Reader on my Mac OS 10.8.5, and now my .pdfs won't open. I only get a little popup in Chinese.

    Please help.
I was prompted to update Adobe Reader when trying to open an interactive document on a government site.
Since updating it, I cannot seem to access any .pdfs online.
    Very frustrating.

There were several similar topics recently, where a Japanese message pops up when trying to view online PDFs.
But yours is Chinese; can you post a screenshot of that message: https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1070933
