IWeb - Can I add a countdown clock ?

Hello all. Could anyone tell me if its possible to add a clock on my iWeb to countdown the days, hours, minutes to a certain event ? I am publishing to my .mac account. Thanks in advance for any help. Regards, Paul P

Is it possible by using javascript, but you will need to paste the relevant code into the published HTML page.
As an example, go to http://www.javascriptkit.com and search for 'countdown'. There are quite a few scripts there that you could use. Or do a google search on javascript countdown.

  • IWeb - can't add pages or sites

I got the recently updated iWeb patch, and now I can't create a new iWeb site or even a new page. Anyone else have this issue?

Delete the iWeb preference file, com.apple. iWeb.plist, that resides in your User/Library/Preferences folder, launch iWeb and try again.

I have a web site using iWeb and use forwarding to link it to the website name, I would love to have a clock counting down as part of my pages!!!
    Steve :o) Can anyone help?

You can add just about any type of html code, widget, or add-on to your iWeb site if you are willing to do a little post-publish editing.
    Basic Instructions are here:
    http://iweb.varkgirl.com
(Click on the first "tip" link in the list)
Check http://www.widgetbox.com or just do a google search for a countdown clock and then use my instructions to add it in.

How can I add an episode to an existing web page using iWeb?
I could probably figure this out but I am afraid if I make changes to the site and re-upload it to the podcast area I will have just doubled it. I see them repeated from time to time.
What is the proper protocal? Thanks

    Hi apple-owner,
    Method 1.
To create this scatter-plot, I selected the whole of Columns A and B. (Shift click on the Column reference tabs).
The plot ignores blank rows, but they are "ready" for new data:
    Method 2
If you did not select whole columns, you can extend the "active" rows. Rows 1-5 selected:
Add more data rows and drag the fill handle (small white circle, bottom right) down

  • How can I add a symbol on top of text in Iweb?

    Hi there,
How can I add a symbol on top of a text box in iweb.  When I add it, the symbol moves to the left or right of the text instead of right on top of it.
    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Here I clicked out side of any text box and drew a star from the shapes panel.

  • How can I add new background on iweb?

    Dear all,

You can add new backgrounds in the "page"..."layout" section of the "inspector"...no limit to what you can add. Remember to use low resolution pics (72 dpi vs 300 dpi) and think of the size necessary for a "wallpaper" on your desktop. ex. http://www.desertmoon.net/Coryhamilton/Home.html done with a Jumsoft theme (baseball dark) as a core.
The file used as a background on that site is located at http://www.desertmoon.net/Coryhamilton/Home_files/grunge.jpg
It's dimensions are 1200px by 797px and 284k in file size. I guess there might be a reason to have the width set for 1200px even though file sizes could benefit from a smaller dimension repeating graphic, but running the file through Photoshop or even Elements would let the owner "Save For Web" as a .jpg - medium quality and get the file size down to about 108k so that the page would load quite a bit faster.

  • Can I add you tube content to my Iweb page

Thanks again for all the help with my first question I know have a second question can I add a you tube video clip to my iweb, one of our team mates has posted a video clip on you tube, and I was wondering is it possible for me to add the clip to my iweb page. I know with my space you can just click on the embedded thingy but not sure if its the same with iweb 08

iWeb 2 has a Web Widget" button that allow you to add an html "snippet".
Copy the html code from the YouTube page and paste using the feature above.

  • How can I add metadata to iWeb pages hosted on .mac?

How can I add title/description/keyword metadata to my website?
    Is there an easy solution?
I publish my site to my .mac account.
Any direction would be appreciated. I work in the web marketing industry, so it bugs me not being able to add metadata to my site.
    Thanks!
    Macbook   Mac OS X (10.4.7)

So I find the folder: Welcome_files for example
Then do I open up the Welcome.js file using text
    editor?
When I add the metadata, then do I Save As and put
the file back into the Welcome_files folder?
Actually every page like Welcome has a Welcome.html file and then a folder "Welcome_files". The file you want to edit is the Welcome.html file. Not anything in the folder.
Do I need to Publish again, or is that process
automatic since the site is pulling from down from my
    iDisk?
Nope don't publish again. That would just overwrite you changes again. Just save the file in the same place and you're done.
Will I have to re-enter metadata every time that the
page changes, or every time the site changes?
Anytime iWeb thinks the page needs to be republished, your edited file will be overwritten.

  • How can I add code (web counter like statcounter) to iWeb '08?

    Hi,
I have a website that was created in iWeb '08. I would like to add web counting code to my whole site (across all pages), something like statcounter. Is there a way to insert code to all the pages in the site?
    Thanks!

    QuickTimeKirk wrote:
You need to add that code after you publish your iWeb pages.
Then "hand edit" those html files using any "plain text editor" and save those files.
You can also add Statcounter code in an html snippet (it works).
You can also add it automatically to all your pages post-publishing using
    iWebExpander (it's free): http://guimkie.com/projects/iwebexpander
    or iComment ( costs 10$): http://web.mac.com/cbrantly/iWeb/Software/iComment.html

  • Can you add an RSS feed on an iweb blog that would allow visitors to receive new entries by email?

Can you add an RSS feed on an iweb blog that would allow visitors to receive new blog entries through their email?

RSS feeds don't do that - if they add the feed to an RSS reader (including Safari or FireFox) they will see new updates every time they check: but sending them emails on each added episode would require extra programming in the actual program, which iWeb doesn't provide. You would need to have a mailing list and send out an email manually each time you add an episode.

  • I have enabled a small countdown clock and can not remove it.

    Hi good afternoon.
I'm doing a project in Adobe Premiere Pro and is almost finished.
The problem is, I have enabled a small countdown clock, which runs through the whole sequence in the middle of the clips, and do not remove it.
Can you help? I have to send the project today.
    Thanks and regards@

Reason: Next time, please create a shorter, more searchable title.

If it is an effect just remove (delete) it from the Effect Controls.
If the clock is in the source you are out of luck.
Only way to get 'rid' of it is to mask-blur the clock.
